With Stock, my quadrant score was around 800+ something.
After rooting, disabling Telenav and few other non essential with Autostart then reboot, my score improved to 1041. Any other ways to tweak it to higher score? Voodoo (convert to ext4?)
My advice is to not care about your quadrant score. If your phone doesnt feel fast enough for you then install a lagfix and be done with it.

Im having the best experience with bionix v and Dow. My phone is now so snappy quick. Quadrant in the 2k+. And I've felt a increase in data speeds. I'm one to tether a lot.

Hi.
I don't usually pay much attention to the benchmark arguments that go on, but today I'm curious!
On JM9 with OCLF, my quadrant score was the usual 2200-2300.
But with JPM and OCLF it has dropped to around 1725.
I've flashed and re-flashed, but it always comes out the same.
I'm sure the Quadrant video sequences in JM9 were all around 55+ fps, but a couple of them in JPM are now around 40fps.
Any thoughts? The phone seems smooth enough (I use Launcher Pro) and Linpak gives me ~14.1
Cheers
Dave.
The same here. With JM9 around 2200, with JPM 1800. However, I dont find JPM smoother than JM9
However, Froyo has more options and that is why I am using it.
score
Mine too! !!!
Worst. ... 967 only. ...
Result of quadrant score doesnt play a matter for me.
But the graphic performance is really bad with JPM compared to JM8. Am i the only one with huge lags in quadrant 2d and 3d benchmark or even in a simple Basket Ball game from market?
Got 1027 on JP6 with no Lagfix. Waiting for voodoo

Don't you mean Linpack?
Can you try it with OCLF? I want to know what can you get.

With OCLF for me its about 2000-2040.
Without lagix close 1000 but after install ryans lagfix 2.2 result is 1800. I think thata no metter couse jp6 with lagfix works the same great like xxjm1 with lagfix

Im only scoring mid 900's, is that normal?
Swyped from a fascinating over clocked droid using XDA App
Well it'd help if we knew how many mhz overclocked the kernel you're using is. But in most cases, if you're not on Voodoo and on an overclocked kernel, a 900 score sounds about right.
I'm going to guess it hangs up at the i/o test, correct?
SirGatez's blazing eclair voodoo kernels seem to score low on quadrant. Is that what your using?

You know what, it never did until just today, why's that?
Kernel is in Signature, Geeknik Stupid fast Test Kernel 12.19.10, 1150mhz
Quadrant scores are harmed by rfs, the default filesystem on SGS devices.
Voodoo5 converts everything to ext4, which dramatically improves that section of the test.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Quadrant scores in the 800-900 range are common without the Voodoo lag fix installed. As Alex pointed out, the RFS filesystem causes lots of write lag, which significantly drags down the Quadrant score (if you had the full version of Quadrant, you'd see that). With Voodoo converting the filesystem to ext4, you'll see your Quadrant score practically double. Unfortunately, Quadrant doesn't use tests that are equal to all types of CPU architectures, filesystems, etc., so the results aren't really a fair comparison of real world performance.
Smartbench 2010 is much more accurate, according to everything I've read, although they're having a little trouble with it getting accurate readings on the Galaxy S series for some reason. They're working on it though, and will likely have an updated version soon that will fairly test the Galaxy S series alongside all other Android phones.
along with setup please.
Figured we might as well record benchmark progress as kernels and ROMs get faster. I'll start off.
Linpack -- 56.264 high, 52-55 consistent
Quadrant -- 2090 high, 2000-2050 consistent
Setup:
bcnice's 1.5 OC kernel
NFX's stock deodexed ROM
SetCPU 245/1516 interactive
Dread's GB theme modified
Thanks to all the devs working on this phone. Can't wait to see what else this thing is capable of.
my scores
Running:
Bcnices 1.8 Gingerbread AOSP kernel
Evervolv Alpha Update 3
Deodexed
Quadrant:
Highest: 2968 , 26-2800 consistently
Linpack:
Highest: 60.XXX, 55-58 consistently
Its also important to note which quadrant version you are using as well. Scores vary widely between the paid and free versions.

This is very true. The test that scored 2968 was run using Quadrant Advanced 1.1.1 Rev 1352
New screenshot is the same system as above but run on the newest version of Quadrant Standard (1.1.7) available.
I get about 2000 on Quadrant at 1.8GHz. How is there such a big difference?

He's on an aosp rom with no sense framework

this was on regular quadrant OC'd to 1.8 on stock sense ROM and rooted
Is this any good?
If you have Advanced you can go into the Custom run and disable volumetric shadowing for the hallway. Scores will jump by 300-400. How the hell did you get over 4000?
What rom has the highest quad score for the vibrant?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Depends on many factors, not just the rom. There's also the Kernel, OCing, UVing and even the launcher.
Highest I have had without an overclock was 2456, and that was on Simply Galaxy v3 RC3 (Port from i9000) with all the tweaks engaged. It was very very fast. Faster than any other ROM I have used, even with overclock. Hell, if I could OC with that ROM I would bet that I could break 3000+ quads easy. But quads are worthless. You just have to try using the phone with the speed of that ROM. I didn't know the vibrant could be that fast.
Running Trigger right now. Get anywhere from 1400-1600. Runs ok. Was just wondering what some of the other Rome were capable of. How is the Simply Galaxy rom? I personally don't know anyone who has used it.

2750 Quadrant.
Darky 9.5 Froyo 2.2.1 base rom, 1.48Ghz Bullet Kernel linked in my sig.
Phone is FLYIN. Gingerbread 2.3.3 builds can go higher (but have bugs).
I got a Quadrant of 3300.....!!
I was using my TI-83 calculator with a tic-tac stuck in the DC in slot!
2000 flat w/ bi winning V2 no OC w/ voodoo. VERY FAST though. Quadrant doesn't give it justice.

I have a 3500 quadrant. On top of that, my battery increases 2% every hour as a result.
I'm running Android 3.3 on mine. 4700 quadrant score and when I plug my usb up to my laptop the phone charges it.
5000 with a V8 hemi under the hood!
With the battery in, I get around 16K but I only get 8K if I take the battery out.
I'm using the FBS ROM.

I second this.
So useless of an app, it has nothing to do with the actually smoothness and snapyness in any phone. Sometimes I feel it's scores are the other way around, the lowest you get the better your phone is
I'm a total lurker, but after "bricking" my vibrant about 3 weeks after getting it home last Fall and discovering the fix here, I've been tweaking, wiping, flashing, odining, and having a helluva lot of fun with it. I'll probably betray myself as still being a noob, but I see everyone kind of poo-pooing Quadrant as meaningless (and other benchmarks, it seems). Is there any objective measurement that you guys consider worthwhile?
I thought I was all hot **** for breaking the 2K mark, but I guess none of that matters?
Trigger 3.2 with Bullet 1.42...just added bullet, so currently OC'd to 1.2 while I get a feel for what the phone can handle.

On Biwinning with o.c. I am getting 2580 ....... but it does not perform ant better than leaving the clock @ 1000 so I leave unclocked ......... I get great battery life then...........
Quadrant is amusing...
but it's not always telling of how a rom actually performs. Back in the day when we were using the OCLF, quad scrores were in the 2k range and that was with 2.1
That being said, I felt compelled to post this anyway, mainly just to show the cpu score improvement that we get with gingerbread. My phone was running Cyanogenmod7 at stock speeds. Comparing quadrant scores between roms that are all based off of each other is pointless.
The 1815 score is from CM7
The 1755 score is from MIUI
MIUI performs great, but it's not as buttery smooth as CM7. But from the two scores you wouldn't see that. More importantly I think this also lends to what I said about comparing two scores between roms that are based off of each other.
Doing the complete benchmark i only get 700, with FroyoBread 21, almost all apps closed, and no undervolt. Is this normal?
I got only 768, almost everything closed/turned off. I haven't tried quadrant since v.12, but i used to have about 1100. Don't know why.
edit: With 3G off I get 893, but still...
With data, localization, 3g off i get 800..
With wifi on ~980 with undervolt, smatass and multitouch (without OC) froyobread v021b
I now got 1038 with very good 2d and 3d results but sometimes my phone became slow and low ram and system fc all time only reboot can fix this.
With Froyobread 12 i got a quadrant score about 1100, but with 21b i got only 780~...
Any Ideas ??
Why do you guys care about quadrant scores.
What really matters it's ROM speed
but... if you want very high scores, click here

Awesome, 1594!!
Not real but funny xD
thanx
Well I've tried xGin 5.4 after doing a full wipe and i got about 800-900, so maybe the "problem" isn't in our ROMs, maybe there are just updated statistics of quadrant, because I haven't noticed any slowdown of my phone.
1150 with gingercruzt
Actually I found that if you are using Standard's Quadrant, the score will lower than Advacned's Quadrant.
For example,I'm using Floyo v1.0,the score are:
Standard:~850
Advanced:~1100
