I tried upgrading to wm5 following a dodgy pair of instructions so i didnt put cert or put typhoon.dll on fone before flashing, flashed using mtty.exe and i was able to boot up with wm5 but problam was it booted until i tried pressing the left soft key (eg start menu) nothing happend it changed color and sat there, i tried countless times, neone else had that problem or is it cause i missed out first steps? so downloading someones back up of the same fone inc uk orange.bin tried flashing it, seemed to work, restarted and now just sits at first screen saying orange, thats it, now i cant even do that, i dont know what to do a step by step guide if ne one has time would be great!!!!
Just follow EXACTLY the procedure described in this thread, then it should work (it did for me, I am very happy with WM5 on the C500)

Did you follow this guide properly to get HSPL on device?
Have you tried to flash a rom? What happens?
Have you tried to return to stock SPL using guide at bottom of first post in this thread?
If you are having difficulty and none of the above works you are still able to flash flash original rom which came with device. This will only work with original rom even if it states serial in bootloader
Hi there,
Have you tried updating your USB sync drivers? i'm not sure which method you applied (Hard-SPL or USPL), but try reading the information on the first post via this link. Notice the comment in red font.
Best Regards.

Bricked Jasjam , plz help

Hi ,
I was flashing my jasjam using sspl-herm and a 6.1 rom ,
While upgrading the progress bar reached the end but it stayed saying upgrade in progress , it took too longer than normal and i knew it wouldnt continue so i soft resetted the phone ,
now it's stuck in the splash screen before even the windows loading.
Plz plz plz help....
if you can access bootloader
a) if you dont have hardspl installed already, install it or you're going to be screwed soon.
if you can access bootloader, pop the nbf file onto your microsd <2gb as HERMIMG.NBH insert it into the phone and follow onscreen instructions.
flashing via SD is always a safer bet anyway.
Hey ,
Thnx guys 4 help
1st I tried hard resetting and it didnt work
2nd I DONT have hard spl
3rd I get into bootloader , i plug the usb cable but i cant flash , the ruuwrapper program says error during upgrade , i think it cant access the phone first coz the mobile device icon in my computer is emtpy , second activesync says not connected(although it tries to) and device manager reads an " htc usb sync " drive but no letter or something

[Q] Error 262 no matter what

Hi guys, I just got an HD2 and I am new to flashing ROMs on it, but I am not really a beginner because my previous phone was an ETEN x500 and I flashed a ton of ROMs successfully on that phone. However on this one I am running into a problem.
I successfully installed the bootloader HSPL without any problems. Then, I wanted to do task29 before I installed a new ROM. I followed all the instructions fine, I click NEXT until the device enters bootloader mode, then I see a black loading screen on my HD2 with the HTC logo on it. The problem is the loading bar stays at 0% no matter what I do, it won't install the ROM. After about 5 minutes it gives me the following error message:
www . screensnapr . com/u/icpiuj.png
When I click on the "View Document" button, I get the following message:
www . screensnapr . com/u/dhiria.png
(it won't let me post offsite links to images because I only have a few posts, but I mean no harm with them, I'm just trying to explain my problem. )
I have tried uninstalling ActiveSync and reinstalling, changing USB slots on my PC, I removed the microSD card and the SIM card, I tried entering bootloader mode manually and then running task29, but it all fails with the same results.
The phone still works fine, I disconnect the USB cable from the phone after the flashing failed, and remove the battery for 3 seconds and then the phone starts fine with the original ROM. So there is nothing wrong with it.
What could be the problem please?
Thanks for your help.
Hi everyone, sorry for doubleposting but I have found my solution. I had an incorrect HSPL version installed somehow, although I did follow the tutorial here: forum.xda-developers. com/showthread.php?t=653614
I downloaded the HSPL version linked on that thread and it didn't work.
Then I downloaded the one I found here that said specifically for TMobile HD2: www .mobileunderground. info/showthread.php?t=7997&highlight=HSPL+1024%20..
and this one worked great. I have my custom ROM running now.
HSPL3 is the latest and can be found here somewhere. You must not have had SPL 2.10. Glad you got it to work!
