Hi ,
I was flashing my jasjam using sspl-herm and a 6.1 rom ,
While upgrading the progress bar reached the end but it stayed saying upgrade in progress , it took too longer than normal and i knew it wouldnt continue so i soft resetted the phone ,
now it's stuck in the splash screen before even the windows loading.
Plz plz plz help....
if you can access bootloader
a) if you dont have hardspl installed already, install it or you're going to be screwed soon.
if you can access bootloader, pop the nbf file onto your microsd <2gb as HERMIMG.NBH insert it into the phone and follow onscreen instructions.
flashing via SD is always a safer bet anyway.

1st I tried hard resetting and it didnt work
2nd I DONT have hard spl
3rd I get into bootloader , i plug the usb cable but i cant flash , the ruuwrapper program says error during upgrade , i think it cant access the phone first coz the mobile device icon in my computer is emtpy , second activesync says not connected(although it tries to) and device manager reads an " htc usb sync " drive but no letter or something
Still no luck , any help ??

hi there ,,can anyone tell why when i enter usb flash mode i cant flash via it wheni try to run a upgrade program it says plug in yor pda and on the pda screen all i get is usb flash mode,,connect usb cable now... but it is lso in my device manager i see my pda as a windows ce devices so what the hell is going on ?
pls dont tell me only way is via sd card surely it can be done via usb lead if so please can some post a step by step on how to flash via usb as i did so already from pc2002 to win2003 using the rom from xda developers and now i get a logo Ozup and underneath says ,,this os image is meant for microsoft employees or technicians bla bla bla
but i can enter boot loader fine access all the menus in bootloder my bootloder version is v5.15

There are two possibilities to flash a device:
1. In Bootloader via SD Card
2. Normal booted device via Active Sync
But i do not know what you mean with USB Flash Mode

i have a big problem and i think your the only person who can help me my problems occured when i went to flash my wallaby device with this rom ftp://xda:[email protected]_ENG.exe/
i wish i never bothered the device was perfectly running fine until i flashed it with this via usb it all was a succes when i done a hard reset i got a screen with a oz up logo and underneath it says "microsoft internal use only" this operating system image is meant for use only by microsoft employees and contractors ,,and the crazy thing is i cannot enter my bootloader which was v5.15 so i can flash it via sd card its vanished no bootloader only that screen and on the bottom right corner it says ,,g32s54,v4.08,3.04 when i plug it in usb all i get is a unknown device and i cannot flash it so please if there is a way even if its pretty technical i would be honoured if you can help me out i would be very grateful if u cn show me a way of getting the bootloader back many thanks

don't use the 4.16 use the rs 4.21 when i did the upgrade i was then able to connect to active sync then changed the rom try the special rom 1.2

mate the problem i have is that i cant acces the bootloader for me to do anything its gone and this happened after using that dodgy rom
all i want to no is there a way of putting back the bootloader on to the device as its not there its been somehow erased after the flash i done
mate if you try what i said to try this should help you to connect your phone back to your pc then you can change the rom from there you shold get bootloader back when you put a new rom on
please help i have the t-mobile mda compact pm200 and i was removing a cracked version on pocket dos v1.09 from the remove list and it said windows wil need to perform a soft rest yes or cancel i clicked yes and my system restarted but now it just get stuck at the t-mobile screen. i have tried doing the manufatures hard reset but no joy i have take out the battery no joy and i can't even access it through my p.c what can i do to get it up and running again i don't care about the data already on there cuz it is all backed up on my sd cad
When you took out your battery, have you been waiting til the backup battery fully drained out? It takes about 30-60 minutes, better leave a few hours. Try this and post your results...

Is it getting into BootLoader? Then you might try Flashing a new ROM!

I had about the same problem:
I was trying to install the Pocket PC Greek language support (free trial version) from the site http://greek.pocket-pc.penreader.co...der_Greek.html. on my MDA Vario Tmobile when it crashed!! It shows just a white screen and does nothing at all!! I soft and hard reseted the device but after restarting it shows the Tmobile screen and after a few seconds a white screen! Actually I am not so sure that the device is hard reseting because it doesn't ask me for a confirmation of the hard reset. When I startup my device it stops on the same white screen.No windows loading, no other commands accepting, not recognized by my desktop.
Did anybody have the same problem before? Does anybody know how can i get my PPC on working condition again

See for ROM upgrades on the forum :wink: if u get some images on the mini then it's not dead! It's just stuck at the bootloader mode, meaning that the OS is somehow damaged.. To solve this prob u must plug the mini into the pc (it will be recognised as an unidentified device, don't worry), then download a ROM upgrade set (u will find these on the net or in the xda-dev ftp). Execute the prog, wait 'till it finished and voila! Ur device will come as new If u encounter problem do a simple search in the forum regards rom - bootloader - upgrade and u willl find a lot of infos :wink:

:? then it isn't yet in bootloader, is just stuck at the beginning of a broken OS! I mean that it tries to load the OS, but then it gets stopped since he read bad ROM (probably deleted in some way since u encountered this prob removing a prog) try to get it in bootloader mode, by pressing together the camera, power and reset buttons.. U will lose all the things in the RAM memory, but in this case u really can't do anything else.. After entering in bootloader, u can easily upgrade it..

Well, I just tried the camera button+power button+reset button....and nothing happens! It reset and comes back to the same white screen...
Any other suggestions??
well, did u tried to make it correctly? I mean: for entering boot loader u havce to press camera + power, and then reset (with camera and power pressed) if u can't still enter the bootloader, then I'm out of ideas, sorry...

In the screen what can u read? If u read serial (it is barely visible) then see if it turn to usb when u connect the cable: if yes, we 're at a very good point...
When it starts up it shows the Tmobile logo and then for a few seconds :

after a few seconds a white screen without any letters or anything else.
But I cannot see it anywhere on my desktop pc...
:? I can't figure out how you can get it back.. If it displays images and text, then the bootloader is still alive.. It even tells u the correct version of the complete ROM.. but I wonder why it can't access to the bootloader.. u must search in the forum how to reach the bootloader, but I'm sure of the power camera reset combination; when u can read SERIAL or even better USB on the device, u probably have solved most of ur problems, but chances are that u have even bad clusters of ROM, and cannot be restored with an upgrade (it happened to the External Rom of my mini after a bad upgrade)
I suggest to send it to repairs, before doing somewhat wrong, because if there is an original ROM inside they will repair it for sure, free :wink:

Thanks. The problem is that I got the phone from ebay, from a UK seller, and it was locked to Tmobile. So I don't think that I can ask for a factory/guaranty repair....

seee i tried all of thoose things but i found the main problem was getting the computer to recoginise the thing and the program i put on was a cracked version ( i know i am a naughty boy) so if i send it off they could cause legal problems couldn't it
it depends on what u are meaning by "not recognised" but I assume that windows dosesn't even try to recognise the device (I mean that there aren't bubbles, notifications, or any other changes on the system) for the cracked software, well if u have installed it right into any RAM folder (not in the storage memory) then u can tell the repairing center that ur unit simply doesn't power on correctly.. :wink:

i have new leo with ROM 1.43 today after trying to upgrade to ROM 1.66 I did everything as asked, the installer began , with all the colours on the leo display then it started the percent completion counter , and after 2% it wrote me error something , and the leo restarted but stuck in the white start up menu with the green HTC icon and below the R G D information but the device doesnt proceed further and stuck here !!!

well, no...did you get the file from HTC direct or off here? your phone could be vendor locked to your provider so if you can get the original ROM that was on your phone you can flash that back on...
you should really read into things before jumping in at the deep end...

o bought the device in europe , but i am from israel , htc sent me notification about new arabic ROM with link , i tried with my serial to download but couldnt , it wrote me "this upload not compatible with ur device" , i downloaded it from here XDA developers , but it went wrong !! , the problem that the phone stuck in the loader menu , before uploading the sense interface , and i have no connection between the pc and the phone "no active sync" so how can i reinstall the older version or make the phone load again ?!!?!! plz help !
you need the original ROM and a connection to your PC. run activesync as even not working it should connect up...

You could try installing the Shipped ROM via microsd card method. Just make sure your battery is above 50%. then follow these steps:
1. Using 7Zip, Open your Shipped ROM.exe (You need your exact shipped ROM for this, anything else will give you the error you got)
2. Look for the "RUU_signed.nbh" (without the quotes)
3. Copy RUU_signed.nbh to your microsd card AFTER formatting the microsd as FAT32 (quick format works well enough, using Win 7)
4. Rename 'RUU_signed.nbh" to "LEOIMG.nbh" (again, without the quotes)
5. Take out the HD2 Battery and insert microsd card in slot.
6. Put Battery Back on and hold the "Vol Down" key while pressing the Power key
7. Follow the instructions on the screen... (remember you need at least 50% battery power just to make sure everything goes as planned)
8. Soft Reset after your done and you have a "Fresh" Shipped ROM on your HD2!
Optional:
9. Install HSPL (use the guide that's been stickied in the ROM Dev Section)
10.Flash the ROM of your choice via MicroSD method or activesync (again, please read the Stickied guides in the ROM Dev Section)

total storage 328 instead of 180 !!!
well i didnt need anything to do, i pressed and hold the up vol. and down volume and pressed the power key , it did a hardreset and my old ROM back to me , though i noticed strange thing !!!
after the hardreset back to my old ROM i checked the SD card & phone storage and i found that i have now total storage 328 instead of 180 !!!
but then i upgraded my ROM this time with legal one from HTC support site , and the total storage got back to 180 again !!!
anybody knows what happened here ?!

I just had this problem and I saw that a ton of others had it too. It was where my phone would stop at the windows screen and not boot, and my PC wouldn't read the phone so I couldn't load a new rom or Hard SPL. How I fixed it was by getting my phone into bootloader mode, (the multi colored screen). Here's how to do it.
While phone is Off:
Hold Volume down & press power button
While phone is On
Hold Volume down & press Reset Button (meaning the little yellow button by the battery that you have to press with a pen to soft reset it)
Once your on the bootloader screen, plug your phone into your PC, you will hear the ding that the computer recognized it but your Windows Mobile desktop software will still say your not connected, don't worry about that,, you are connected. After that, just pick whatever rom you want, then just install it like normal. and it works. If your not running a rom, do the same but install hard SPL instead of a ROM.

can someone help me ! i have the same problem. im not sure i can even open the bootloader menu . when i reset it ,it still goes 3 colours. when i try puting a new rom on it it comes up error 262. tried task29 but still error 262. tried reinstalling activesinc , still error 262,something is telling me to sign into my comp as admin but ... can anyone help?

Ok first off what ROM do you have and what SPL does it show when you are in the muticolor bootloader screen? Secound if you are trying to flash a ROM yse right clicking the .exe file and selecting run as adminastrator is a good idea. l
I had the same problem.. what usually helps for me is when it gets stuck.. pull out the battery and give it a solid 15-20 minutes.. and then turn it on and do nothing up until after it has booted
i do the battery thing but i cant go on doing this , i put a little txt or phone call and the phone goes bonkers and heats up,nightmare!

I am having the same issue. I had a android rom then was finally able to flash via sd the stock rom, but it would just freeze on splash screen when trying to boot. Now when I try to flash rom again it will start and freeze on 1%. Any suggestions?
Now when I try to load rom via usb it starts and then freezes on 1%. Then will say communication error and then when trying to boot phone it says software issue and now I cant even get a rom put back on! Please help lol

Ok try going to windowsmobile.com/getstarted and download and install the latest version of ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) , wich ever one you have to have for your computer, and install it on your computer as they have updated USB drivers for your HD2.
have you tried loading a rom from the root of your memory card LEOimg.nbh?
i have this problem too...but what is worse is after i went to splash screen and connect my phone to pc, my pc wont detect my hd2...so i cant flash a new rom...
ps : im on stock rom bought this almost 2 years ago if im not mistaken

You need to put your phone into bootloader then your computer will recognize it. Hold the volume down button down while you power on the phone and the multicolor bootloader will come up. Next connect your HD2 to your computer via your USB cable. Wait for the Serial in the white bar of bootloader changes to USB and then flash. If you go to the device manager of your computer while you see USB on your phone it should say HTC USB Sync if you want to be assured that you have a connection to flash with.
Hi , maybe this is not the first time that some one have the same problem but i have try alot to found a solution and i didnt found
i have a HTC p6500 and it was working perfect untill i download a rom from this forum and i install it in the htc , after that when the device restart i get the boot load screen with 4 colors and in it its writen
