Im sorry if this had been posted before i didnt really find it. could have been asking the wrong questions and in advance thank you for pointing me in any direction or any help. okay to the issue, i bought some cheap china batts on ebay just to keep charged in my pocket for boarding (music, video, pandora rip throuh batts) or just for whenever. i norm just use the oem samsung battery but when switching it the other day i must had missed my pocket and dropped my oem off the lift or something. when i use these other non oem batts the phone says cannot connect to battery. i cant not charge it (not a problem because have like a just batt charger so i swap back and forth) or my comp wont see it cuz of the usb wont connect. how do i fix this besides buying a new oem batt? (hurttin on cash between xmas and moving into my first place) for 30 bucks i can just deal for now. and fixes at all?
From what I've heard, the phone will not recognize a non-OEM battery so you will just have to continue using the separate battery charger for now. Just keep them all charged I guess until you can save up for an OEM battery.

I use the Seidio battery and it works fine.
how much and where can i find one?
I can confirm your issue. I purchased 4 batteries with 2 wall chargers in October for $20 shipped and my facinate will not reconize them. Besides having to charge them in the wall charger they work great. Hate to say this but you will need to buy either a wall charger to charge them or an OEM battery...

for those of you who have been wanting ot buy a cradle i bought this one of ebay and it fits perfectly with the hd2 US. It syncs and charges through usb or charger which is included

Looks like that one doesn't have the headphone plug, which is what seems to be the problem with all the other ones. So i guess this should be a good one to use as long as you don't want audio output from the cradle.

Did you get a wall adapter with it? I've read that you need to plug it in the wall to get the spare battery to charge. Does the phone charge in the cradle and can you sync?
Thanks ariel123
Please tell us if the phone charges & syncs while in the cradle.. Can you also plug in the wall charger and see if the spare battery is getting charged...
Thanx a bunch! appreciate it...
while connected to the pc the phone syncs and charges. the spare battery only charges when connected to the wall charger. this packages includes the wall charger and the usb cable.
thanks to your reply i now know how to charge the spare battery
Sweet. This is perfect, and only $20!
Great find Ariel123. Thanks again for the tip, review, and pics.
Thanks ariel123

Now can anyone tell me if they make a charging dock for just the battery. On my old Samsung Instinct it came with to batteries, there was a plastic case with a charging port you would put the battery in the case and then charge the 2nd battery through the plastic case while you were using the first battery iin your phone. do you guys know if they make anything simliar for our vibrants? im just tired of constantly having to be around an outlet all day. i dont believe in having a smartphone is you cant use its features. Im not going to turn off gps, wifi, screen brightness etc. whats the point i mine as well go back to 99 and buy a flip phone.

Kinda sucks though, since you already got your spare and this comes with an extra one.

i wonder if ebay has something like that. kinda hefty price (for just a charger in my case) whats a new OEM Battery go for?
Ebay has wall chargers. They usually come with a knockoff battery also. Even if you dont use the knockoff the bundle only costs like $10 so its worth it. I have 2 knockoffs/chargers and though they charge kind of slow the work great as do the batteries.
EDIT: Found one thats the charger only. http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-Charger...474841?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c17ce3759

thanks, thats what im looking for. hows that working for you??i will be using an OEM battery in it
what about this one, kind like i described in my origional post. only thing is, has to be charged on a computer. hmmm.... not realy a problem cause its a backup. opinions guys??
http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-Battery-Cha...g kong, i dont know about ordering from there
So i was playing dead trigger with my sixaxis (awesome combo btw) with an overclocked kernel. everything was going fine till i saw the 14% battery left window and it went away all by itself very fast. i didnt think anything of it. (this whole time i was plugged in) anyways, i played for another 45 mins and all the sudden, i got some static and then a shutoff. i let it sit for a while (maybe it overheated?) turned it back on 10 mins later. went good for 5 mins, then shut off. the screen was just black. i un and repluged in the charger and didnt get the white battery symbol. i was thinking "oh **** i just fried this thing" so i took the usb cable out of the charger and dont ask me why, but i smelled it. and i instantly knew, burnt electronics. got my droid x charger and plugged it in. instantly got the battery symbol. this is a temp fix cuz its only 700ma but does anyone know where i can get another charger, possibly better quality, or a way to fix this? for some reason my computer just doesnt have enough oomph to charge it. its probably only ~500ma.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Anyone else have this problem?
yea happened with my wire too. like the adapter piece still works its just the usb wire thats fried
Found this link on the charger issues thread
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008FF8360/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i01
it's not a detachable usb charger, but should work.

It might be my cable, but thats the one im using with the droid x charger soo... yeah.
i forgot to mention that the charger smelled burnt too but i though maybe it just runs hot.
Thanks for the link to the charger!
One last question.
is this the same way as the (dare i say it here) iphone charger that couldent support the phone running and charging the battery? because my friend burnt up his charger by doing that. im thinking about making a 30amp usb port and just let the onboard battery charger take care of it. then again, id rather the charger blow up than the little processor for charging the battery.
And JESUS these captcha's are freaking unreadable!
All of the voltage looks the same as the Asus charger. The reviews also state that it works like the OEM charger.

Well even though the charger seems to be working again, I will probably buy that one because the plug doesn't come right out the back of it. Thanks

*EDIT
Does it also do the same deep cycle charge that the OEM charger supposedly does?
So screwed... My Note 3 suddenly wont charge. 70% of the time it doesn't recognize that a charger has been connected. 30% of the time I get an error saying its not charging to protect the phone, and I need to use my original charger. Of course, this is WITH the original charger and cable. I get the same error message with other chargers or connecting to my PC.
I need to get it to Samsung for warranty service, but I am on Beans 6. I dont know what to do. I have 3% and its draining fast. I cant get it charged enough to return to stock.
Help!!! Any suggestions? Is there some known issue with a quick fix? I have rebooted, removed battery, rebooted, rebooted, tried all the different chargers/cables/PCs.... I dont know where to go from here.
Thank you!!!
You can buy a universal battery charger from Radio Shack and charge your battery that way.
Hopefully your PC can still recognize your phone so you can flash it back to stock.

I ordered a wireless charging pad from Amazon. Hopefully that works. If it's just the port, it should.
What's odd is my PC can still recognize the phone. Or could, before it died completely. I backed up my perishables to it.
Guess we'll wait and see on Monday.
In the meantime you can go on amazon and get the Anker battery kit. It comes with an external charger and two batteries. It costs just $30. I got tired of having to replace my samsung charger due to crap quality so I tried this and it's great. Obviously you'll still have to figure out what to do when you connect to the computer but you can get the Anker kit for now
Your usb port is probably faulty. You can change it yourself, its actually pretty easy. They sell for around $15 on ebay.
