Now can anyone tell me if they make a charging dock for just the battery. On my old Samsung Instinct it came with to batteries, there was a plastic case with a charging port you would put the battery in the case and then charge the 2nd battery through the plastic case while you were using the first battery iin your phone. do you guys know if they make anything simliar for our vibrants? im just tired of constantly having to be around an outlet all day. i dont believe in having a smartphone is you cant use its features. Im not going to turn off gps, wifi, screen brightness etc. whats the point i mine as well go back to 99 and buy a flip phone.

Kinda sucks though, since you already got your spare and this comes with an extra one.

i wonder if ebay has something like that. kinda hefty price (for just a charger in my case) whats a new OEM Battery go for?
Ebay has wall chargers. They usually come with a knockoff battery also. Even if you dont use the knockoff the bundle only costs like $10 so its worth it. I have 2 knockoffs/chargers and though they charge kind of slow the work great as do the batteries.
EDIT: Found one thats the charger only. http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-Charger...474841?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c17ce3759

I came across this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170212826483
It's a solar charger with 6000mAh internal battery. Output voltage is 5.5V and output current 1A. For me it seems to be perfect for our Kaisers.
I doubt you would get even external battery with such capacity for this price (it's £20 including P+P to Slovakia). And this thing even charges itself "on its own".
I will be probably buying one in a few days, but I would like to know if anybody has any experience with or opinions about this (such) device. Please share.
In my understanding it's only a solar-charger not an extended battery.
It would be nice to get an extended battery included the solar charger for Kaiser.
It does have 6000mAh acumulator inside and it can be charged via (included) AC adapter. So in a sense - it is (and can be used as) external battery extender.
Yes, actually it is so, but then it's too heavy to carry.
My wish is to have an extended battery with solar charger on the back cover. I know its just a wish, but would be a nice accessory.
Oh, I see what you are up to. IMO that would be inpractical, since you would have to have your Kaiser laying top-side-up to charge. Something like this might come to your interest (if they would make it for Kaiser, that is): http://gpsforless.co.uk/product_details.php?id=12048 It's an iPhone case that has Solar panel on the front of it.
Yes, something like that. I don't feel unpractical until I can find a smooth surface to lay down kaiser on LCD panel. Before some Nokia model came with such solar panel, I think great solution.

just have an off topic question. What battery are u using now? If some extended, where did u buy it? I cant seem to find a store here in Slovakia that sells batteries for Kaiser.
I'm using Mugen Power 1500mAh.
I bought through Eten webshop
HLI-P4550SL Mugen Power 1500mAh Extended Battery For TYTN II (P4550) / HTC Kaiser 120, T-Mobile MmDA Vario III, Vodafone V1615, AT & T Tilt 8925 (Cingular)

I currently use only OEM 1350mAh that came with my Kaiser. I have, however, bought this extended 2800mAh battery from ebay, which I am still waiting to arrive. I think ebay is the way to go for things like these - they are very expensive and hard to get in standard shops in Slovakia.
And I am very much considering the external battery w/ solar charger mentioned in my first post. I would use it especially for long (couple of days) bike trips that I will be doing. And £20 price for such thing is extremely good price

How does it work for you? Is there any noticable difference in battery life compared to OEM 1350mAh?

I was thinking about buying a new battery, but the fact that I will have to buy a new case also is stopping me from buying it. Give us a little feedback about the battery and also about the solar charger when u will get them. I am really curious.
Okay I will. I am not yet definitely decided if I will buy that solar charger, though.

Not really (may be 2hrs longer uptime), but I needed a spare battery as well. You also can buy 2000-3000mAh battery, those should be significantly longer uptime, but they come with a wider back-cover.
Okay, thanks for info.
@all:
I have just bought that 6000mAh solar charger. Will inform you in this thread, when I recieve it.
i too have recently ordered this, hope it is as good as it claims to be, or at least nearly as good, hope I don't have to wait too long for it to be shipped from Hong Kong
I have been astonished by its specification (and price), too. If it is going to be as good as it claims then the money spent will be surely worth it.
do you guys know if you can change the internal battery? for that price i skeptical about the quality of the 6000mah battery. can the solar panel charge the phone directly?
i don't know, i am waiting on delivery any time from 3 days til a week away from recieving it, will tell you all about it with pics if i get it before omikr0n
If the battery is totally dead, can it run the phone on solar power alone?
hello,
I have a little problem with the battery in my Raph100.
I´m using my Touch Pro for icq and surfing the internet and the battery must charge every 7 hours.
So found something interessting on ebay. A Battery with 1700mAh with the same size like the original one.
So what are you thinking about these "fake" batterys?
Yeah I'm curious about that too!
Could you give us a link to the eBay ad by the way? Thanks!
I have ordered non EOM batteries in the past.. (many for vvarious phones)... Overall I have been happy... Although their life usually does not seem to last as long as the OEM ones... But, the usually run for $5 instead of $40.... So I think they are well worth it overall.. right now I have 4 batteries.. When ones dies, I just swap it out... works very well for what I do... (I have one battery in the phone, one spare in my pocket, one in the charger, and one that is on my desk charged.... I also have a non-oem cradle that has a stand aloen battery charger in it). I got my batteries and other accessories at Bargaincell.com ... Check it out.. and search google, as bargaincell ALWAYS has coupons out there for $5 off or free shipping on $25, etc.....
Got my replacement Vibrant in today (another brand new one - 3rd one)...
NOT HARDWARE LOCKED!
Was the first thing I checked when I put the battery in, and it went to Recovery first attempt XD
9/30/10 phone.
Are there any portable battery chargers for these Vibrant batteries? Since I have two extras I reckon it wouldn't be a bad idea to carry around a spare so I don't have to worry too much about conserving battery (can just switch quickly halfway through the day if needed).

Although most of these have two more batteries added to them and they are also from Hong Kong but with alot of good reviews.
I've never seen two batteries and a charger for $10. Hrm... I already have two extra batteries so I guess I may get one just for the charger. I don't trust those batteries, though...
Thanks!

i was about to ask for a third replacement too, but i ended up trying out the odin ji4 flash and it unlocked the hardware on my phone. Didn't have to go through with the replacement anymore.
I personally use this, but I don't carry around spare batteries.

I got the 8000mah model for 40 a few months ago from Woot and these are great chargers.
I'm curious, what is the advantage of this over just having a couple Ebay spare batteries and external charger? It seems like the spare batteries are a lot smaller and you can just swap them out. Not trying to a make a point or anyting - but I just dont understand the advantage. I actually have four batteries and 2 chargers and have at least one spare with me at all times. And I got those for cheaper than this Energizer product. Thanks!
Alot of people do not like having to take their case and battery cover off all of the time to switch batteries. I have broken two of my Seidio cases becuase of having to take it off once a day to change my battery.
Makes sense. I guess it is kind of pain to reboot and everything. I have a relative that works at Energizer and prob get me one for very cheap. Might try it out...

I recommend getting woot watcher from the market if you are a fan of woot. Awesome during woot-offs.

Here is an alternative that I use and is a 5400
splash Intense 5400mAh External Battery Pack
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003NTYYXY/ref=oss_product
You can connect two devices if you have the other cable. I like it and it charges my evo about three times from 30% to 100%
BTW.. You have to push the ON button for it to charge your EVO. There was one dumb arse complaining about it but it tells you in the instructions that you have to turn it ON for it to work.
A 8000 mah external battery is gonna be a friggin BRICK. Hope you have big pockets.
I bought two energizer portable battery chargers- on sale once. I had a military exercise and was going to be in areas where no electrical outlets. Charged them fully and was happy until the freaking port of the energizer charger caved in. Took them BOTH back and got my money back and bought two 3500mAh batteries on ebay instead the next day. I just plugged the usb cable that came with it gently and it broked off inside. It ain't military grade....
I usually get a few ebay batteries for my phone when i'm travelling but it seems that won't be the case this time around with the Nexus 4. Next option would be to pick up a portable battery charger. Any recommendations for one preferably with a built in concealable cable?

This is what I've got as well, it's pretty compact and easy to carry, plus the torch can come in handy at times too. Before that I had a 5000mAh Pebble, which was actually not that much smaller, and was a bit more of a nuisance because it didn't use microUSB to charge itself (instead opting for some weird tiny barrel connector).
I plan on getting one of these (the 10,000 Mah variant )

I have both of these. The one the OP is looking at doesn't last nearly as long as the MFG claims it does. The second one is great for the two settings 0.6 and 2.0 amps. The weird thing is that my N7 won't charge on the 2.0 amp setting. I have to connect it to the 0.6 amp setting. And the brand on mine is Anker. I like the latter better, tho you have to have a usb cable. Actually, now that I am thinking about it, it comes with some small cables and various connectors for different devices.

I just bought this one - check around for some coupon codes to get an additional $5 off. I liked the look of the Zagg sparq series and the ability to plug it in (no more carrying around an ac adapter) but the build quality is questionable and the price is too high!
What about this one http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-IMP120D-Thunderbolt-Blackberry/dp/B003ZBZ64Q/ref=pd_cp_cps_3
It's a 12000 mAh.
I just ordered one of these 12000mAh from China off ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/12000mAh-Ex...444570?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item5d358dcf1a
I didn't buy from this particular seller and I haven't used it yet, so I can't recommend anything about it. (A bunch of sellers sell the same item.)
The marketing material seems legit and the price is good. I'll see if I made the right decision.
The width and height happens to be about the same as the S3 and N4. They claim an efficiency of 90% with the lithium polymer batteries. I would be happy if the N4 required one or two charges to get through an evening out and if this "power bank" could deliver ~4 charges.
The question is, how do you use these things? In the pocket, without an inductive Qi charger of the right size, i don't seem myself charging it with the cable in pocket regularly. It makes it a hassle to pull the phone out of the pocket and use. I see myself charging or powering the phone with it if I find myself sitting down for 10 mins or more, say at a meal.
How are you all planning to use an external battery brick?
yes, portable battery pack is required if you are high end user, playing high end games... I already have one
