Awesome, thanks Bluther. How well does the black finish on the new back piece match the phone?

The poster that commented on the slant must have seen the same pictures I posted about on another forum. Fortunately, I was corrected by someone who had bought the Mugen 3600.
Across the forums, those who've tried both pretty much all prefer the power & size of the Seidio & the look of the Seidio cover. Plus it's cheaper.
I got my Seidio 3500 Thursday night. The instructions say to do an 8 hour initial charge before putting the battery in the phone & that performance would increase after 5-6 full charges. I did the initial charge Thursday night, put the battery in the phone about 7:30 Friday morning, was down to 32% about 4pm Saturday. I put the battery on the charger Saturday night, put it back in the phone 6am Sunday morning, am at 38% as I write -- slight improvement. It looks like a fully conditioned Seidio 3500 ought to easily go two full days...maybe longer.
I'm using the unlocked UMTS version on AT&T.
I have this battery, bought it on day one because I use a lot of data with my phone and normally, even in Edge, a 8 hour battery is CRITICAL. I can't say what the original battery can do, but this battery is AWESOME!!!! I'm getting greater than 5 days of battery on this huge guy! Even when I'm in range of the 3G/HSDPA area, I'm getting at least 2 days.
I use GoodLink with my corporate email and it keeps the data connection HOT 24x7. Usually drains a battery VERY quickly.
Another pro is that the Seidio cover is non-skid black rubber coated plastic. While not matching the "pretty" glossy finish, I like it better because the phone doesn't slide around on surfaces.
I have one issue and I'm not sure if anyone else has this battery and have experienced this issue. But I can't charge this phone/battery with any USB cable I've tried through my USB ports. I've tried 3 different cables, including the included Palm cable, powered hubs and monitors with powered hubs.
I can't figure out what's going on here... Any help here???

I can leave mine in the phone & charge it using my Palm cable or the retractable Seidio cable. I also have a Mobi Products cradle -- phone with normal sized battery in the front slot, the Seidio 3500 in the spare battery slot, both fully charged when I get up in the morning. Sounds like you might have an issue either with the phone itself or your USB ports. Are the ports fully powered USB 2.0 compatible?

You must have the windows mobile device center/activesync installed on your pc in order for the device to receive power.
I found it for less $$$

In the Treo Pro manual you will read that the phone takes much longer to charge on a USB connection. In other words it is suggested to use the AC adapter and the usb cable to get a powerful and fast charge. That being said maybe the battery needs and AC charge and USB wont suffice.
I have read so many reviews and your problem is a one of a kinder.
About getting this battery cheaper.
Go seidioonline.com and enter coupon code: ITB0630 for 10% off an order over $50.
They sell battery $65 ($5 cheaper than most) plus you get 10% off.
My total purchase was $64.35 shipped.
YAY!
Go get em.

I don't have a Treo (yet) but I've had the same on other devices.
The thing about a USB cable is that if no driver exists to tell the device what it's connected to, it doesn't know whether it's USB2 or USB1, so can't assume there's much power to use. (though I would have thought USB1 still presents a useful amount).
Some devices charge slowly on plain USB without software, some don't charge at all. Of those that do trickle charge, the rate can be less than the power consumed by keeping the backlight on and/or running the GPS, so all that happens is the device stays awake and runs flat quicker.
Sometimes there's a pin in the connector to indicate "this is a charger that supplies what's needed", and you can get an adaptor cable to use with generic USB cables or chargers.
Was thinking of ordering one on eBay found HERE.
Would be around €40 + €17 = €57. But this would mean it has to be shipped from the States to the Netherlands. Why isn't their any battery available a bit closer to home
At this time I get just two days if I'm lucky. Doesn't seem that to many use the 3500 mah from Seidio though. No more users tried this baby?
for those of you who have been wanting ot buy a cradle i bought this one of ebay and it fits perfectly with the hd2 US. It syncs and charges through usb or charger which is included
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...919227&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1795wt_939
Looks like that one doesn't have the headphone plug, which is what seems to be the problem with all the other ones. So i guess this should be a good one to use as long as you don't want audio output from the cradle.

Did you get a wall adapter with it? I've read that you need to plug it in the wall to get the spare battery to charge. Does the phone charge in the cradle and can you sync?
Thanks ariel123
Please tell us if the phone charges & syncs while in the cradle.. Can you also plug in the wall charger and see if the spare battery is getting charged...
Thanx a bunch! appreciate it...
while connected to the pc the phone syncs and charges. the spare battery only charges when connected to the wall charger. this packages includes the wall charger and the usb cable.
thanks to your reply i now know how to charge the spare battery
Sweet. This is perfect, and only $20!
Great find Ariel123. Thanks again for the tip, review, and pics.
Thanks ariel123
Can you also see if when hd2 is connected to pc via cable and chargin via wall charger... if the leds are on n how fast the charging is....
other than that... great find thanks a lot..
your welcome all and lol ill try that tonight to see if it charges quicker wiht both usb and wall adapter pluged in
My nexus so far seems great but i have this issue and idk if its a defect or idk? When i go to charge my phone with the stock AC adapter and even a HTC adapter it starts charging on AC then sometimes switches to USB and charges slower. And I have to like plug it in and out a few times for it to finally catch as AC its super annoying and my GNex never had that issue. And when i want to use the phone on AC the Charge Drops significantly sometimes discharging and im not even doing anything intensive. Does anyone have this issue? Is it a problem with the USB cable maybe? Or do you think this is a defect? Because its about to be 14 days and i dont have much left to get an RMA cause its what im considering and if I need it i dont have 380 dollars in my bank account either if i do need it so idk how that would work. Any help would be appreciated Thanks!
It lowers the incoming current, by dropping to usb charge, to help keep the battery cooler. They seem to be really trying to keep the battery temp down on this thing.
Ordered my Nexus 4 on the 13th. Still waiting.
Really? Do you know the temps? Or does anyone? Cause sometimes it changes to USB after plugging it in for like 5 mins and i wouldnt think it gets that hot that quick. And when i finally get the AC to seem to stick the temps go up to 30-35 degrees celcius as normal and im getting around 850mah and it doesn't drop to usb charging it just drops current sometimes mainly when im using it obviously. So idk if it really is what you say or maybe someone could elaborate more?
I just want to get to the bottom of this issue so to know if i need to get an RMA :/
I forgot to mention that it also seems to randomly switch between AC/USB/UNPLUGGED really fast sometimes and i have to unplug and replug to get a charge I have no idea why.. I really want to know if its a software issue or hardware. Thats my main concern.
Woww this makes sense Ive been trying to figure out why this freaking thing was taking so long to charge. this reminds me of the galaxy s and how long that thing took. hopefully this is a software bug and they can get this thing worked out

I have that same problem with the charger that came in the box.once it goes to USB it take forever to charge but when I use the charger from my gnex it stays on ac and charges really fast not once does it goes to USB.so I tried the N4 charger on my HTC thunderbolt and gnex and both would go into USB mode and charge really slow.

For what it's worth, my Nexus 4 *NEVER* charges in an AC mode using the OEM charging plug, regardless of which power point / cable I use with it. And to charge from 'critical' to 100% took about 7 hours last night. Wtf.
It's been RMA'd as I don't believe this to be correct behaviour. Perhaps also related, the USB computer connection has stopped working. It'll charge via USB but won't connect to any computer.

Hmm so did you use the Gnex charger like the USB cable and AC adapter? Cause ive just used the ac adapters with the N4 Lg USB cable. It makes me think that the USB cable is **** to. I need to find another USB to test this out.

Yep, tried a whole bunch of different power sockets, usb charger plugs and cables. Still screwed. The more I read, the more its obvious that the devices behaviour isn't correct.
You should send it back because mine charges fine. It takes 2-3 hours to charge mine to full from empty. I'm using the charger and USB cable that came with the phone.
I'm actually facing the same thing, I slept for 3 hours and woke up to my phone being only 60% charged. I tried plugging it in and out a couple of times, and now its back to AC and not switching to USB anymore.
In using Franco kernel and even enabling USB fast charge doesn't keep it from showing USB.

Yea mine is missing it to I wonder if that is why? And i just got my RAVpower external battery and that usb has all the pins and i tried to charge my phone with the lg brick and the ravpower usb and it seems to charge fine goes to ac every time. So im really wondering if its the LG USB that i got and it being faulty or not. I need to get another USB to test this out. Cause i dont want to swap out an entire phone for just a usb..
I've noticed mine charges as USB when using the stock LG charger. I had put it down to the 3 metre USB cable it was attached to, but I guess it's just a pants charger.
I just started having the same problem since Sunday. Had the phone for 2wks now. I had the same problem with my gs2. I really don't like these adaptor charger now a days. I go for the straight wall charger. Seems to work best. I think it's better because it doesn't convert to a usb cord as well, I don't know but I went ahead and ordered this one. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=150959459340 should be here Friday. it says original OEM charger for E960 nexus 4. We'll see.. I suggest direct wall charger instead of those USB adaptor that come with phones now.
I just looked at my USB charger from lg, it has 4 gold pins. Seems like they're all there, how many are there suppose to be??

Correction And it should have like 2 gold outer pins and 3 gold inner pins and mine and I guess a few other people have the outer pins but only 2 inner pins im missing the left most inner pin.
Ok first of all this is freaking terrible, I was using a cheap charger instead of my expensive charger and I had my hotspot on and the charger couldnt handle it so the phone just turned off, now it doesn't charge with any cable but it does indicate that is charging but its not, its draining. Yes I took the battery and swapped it with another s4 but the battery still works. I was litterally hustling but now I have to spend money to fix this. What is going on?

Try replacing the battery or charger check if it works.. And battery does drain while charging if u continue using the phone.. Keep the phone idle with data/hotspot off.. If its charging then ur phone is normal and you don't need to replace anything.. And yeah use a proper charger.. Don't try to charge it from laptop/pc USB.. It won't give proper results to come to a conclusion.
Hit thanks if I helped!

It's interesting how can people even do this ? we buy 500-600$ phone and then charge with a ****ty 3-4$ , from what i've heard it's so wrong to charge with a cheap charger as it can screw up the whole mainboard due to it's quality and low power output (lower than original charger)

Charging the phone thru a computer USB port is slower based on the output (500 mA) compared to the original charger that came with the phone (2.0 A)
Amazingly I accidentally toasted my phone's battery charging port while sleeping. (My face mask fell on the device and the phone got wet from it)
I can't find any good source for charging port only and looks like my only option is to get the whole motherboard which is very pricey. Any one have a better suggestion for my issue?
I can't charge the phone anymore -last time I tried there was a stench of burning electronic, it will charge for a bit then stop charging inevitably.
I can't use it as tether or USB device to get my files.
I'm using my battery pack to remedy this issue.

I have a solution, although it may not be ideal. But you can buy an external battery wall charger. Then you can swap between two batteries.

The reason the port is not available separately is because it's soldered to the main board, not easy to replace unlike the headphone jack, loudspeaker, screen, and vibration motor
