[Q] (Q) touch screen trouble... - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

i have a tmous hd2.
after installing MAGLDR 1.12 i flashed DFT WM7 to try it out. it was nice but i was having sd card issues so i then flashed NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.0 NAND. i was having some trouble with the unlock screen freezing when waking up. hitting the power button a few times seemed to help. then the touch screen stopped working all together. i bought a new sd card for WP7 so i flashed DFT WP7 again, still no touch screen. i flashed a WM6.5 Energy rom, still no touch screen. But i did notice that in the rainbow boot screen while flashing WM6.5, now i cant remember everything exactly, the something {touch} value was N/A. i have been search tooling here for a couple of hours now, starting some googleing, but if anyone has some suggestions/ideas/threads to be directed to i would appreciate it.
*edit ran task 29 and flashed official tmous stock rom. still no touch screen!!

Think I found a solution for 3rd step, I used h**ps://wiki.ubuntu.com/Win32DiskImager to "write" img to bigger card, so far so good. WP7 sees 3.8gb, and I've got around 4gb for android in FAT32...
Booted Darkston superRAM 1.5 from sd

Nand issue

There was obviously a serious error with one of my phones. I tried everything, task 29, etc. The phone just would not take wph7 completely, but i knew for a fact that the sd card is compatible, but i tried to install wp7 without a sd card. The phone would never get past the first wph screen (after the dft splash screen). Sometimes the phone would not even get to the windows "getting started" screen, sometimes magldr would even hang up, or the pc could not even initialize the partitioning process to install wp7 (still hung at the "USB Flasher mode" prompt). I was ready to send the phone to HTC since I thought there was a problem with the internal memeory.
I then decided to start from scratch: restore the phone to stock(flashed stock rom from sd card, spl2.080000), reset the device once, and then loaded magldr while the phone was synced to my computer(not tri collered screen), then immediately flashed wp7 to the phone.
All is well now.
I think task 29 maybe did not errase the internal memory completely.
Alsu, Radio 2.12.xx.xx works wonderful, and it also gave me a huge improvement in battery life!
No offence but exactly what is the point of this post? And seriously, you were having trouble FLASHING WP7 to your HD2 so considered sending it back to HTC? Dude they would just laugh in your face, flashing voids your warranty.
Why label the thread "NAND Issue" as well, when by your own admission you have no issue at all? Baffling.
This was supposed to be helpful for other people, I have plenty of experience with flashing numerous HTC devices, and own several HD2's. This one had serious trouble taking on wp7, so logically tere was some issue with the internal memory. Flashing the HD2 the other conventional ways (as I flashed the other HD2's) did not work, the phone typicaly rebooted after the DFT splash screen before entering windows, which was indicating obviously a memory issue (independent from the SD card).
For anyonewith issues, MAGLDR 1.13 fixed all of the issues I had. It also got rid of random reboots and non boots of wp7.

[Q] !!HELP!! STUCK ON ANDROID LOGO AFTER gogogo! on magldr

hey guys ive seen a few thread similar to mine but they seem to just different enough, that i cant use the same solution posted.
I used Magldr to run android rom on my hd2 and after the go go go! screen in went to the android logo... then turns off ... then loads again then turns off ... so annoying
I did the whole process over again from scratch but the same thing happened.
Im sure i am missing something but i cant seem to figure out what it is.
I did the following steps
1) falsh HSPL 2.08
2) flash Task 29 with 2.15 radio
3) Paste "initrd.gz" and "zImage" to root sd
4) after reboot i went to "BOOT AD SD"
5) booted rom from CWM
6) everything went good ... got past go go go! then is just stopped at the android logo

Is your AD SD Boot Dir set to the root ( >.< in the menu) of your SD Card? If not, try reflashing MAGLDR...
Maybe you want to tell us what build you used?
Sent from my HD2 Glacier using XDA App
New problem
thank for the quick post
sorry i should mentioned it I'm using the JDMS Ultimate on HTC HD2 rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782301
however i figured my earlier problem now im running into something else
i didn't use the "initrd.gz" and "zImage" from CWM
NEW problem
After rebooting with CWM android boots up then turns off and then it boots up from nand and turns off again ... this will keep on looping until i take battery out
I re flashed Magldr but it did the same thing ... im going to reflash HSPL then try again ... but i followed all the direction from the following thread and dont see where i went wrong
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898913
GOT IT!!
thanks ... kinda to hose who helped...
I used CWM 1.0 instead and everything worked fine...i also used the the Jaws-MIUI rom
thanks RaiderX303
Ill probably kill this thread soon if oneone posts one but but the questions I had were answered by looking around I was just too lazy at first
hi need help
can not install the Clockwork Mod Recovery On The HD2 when i restart on the MAGLDR only on 2.Boot AD NAND what do need help!!!!!!!!!!!
cant reboot form BOOT AD SD only on Boot AD NAND need help?????
on the AD SD Boot Dir set to the root ( >.< in the menu) which one i select it have <,> AAlic*1,dcim,mydoc*1,WMDRM,TRANSF*1,XDA_UC,GAMELOFT,MULTIM*1.APP,PROGRA*1??????
hope this not way off i am still totaly new at this but , just went trhough something similar with a bad nand install and kept rebooting to quietly brillant, not sure where i found my answer now but hold down the power button after you boot to get to default main magdlr screen where you will be able to make the changes you need then maybe reflash your rom
If it keeps looping over HTC white screen and the 1234 GOGOGO MAGLDR screen then take out your battery and push the battery pins back. They could be loose.
This also happened to me, my i only option and solution was: press hard-reset button on backside so it wont be stuck on the andriod logo and go back to the store and be really nice to the salesman so he would send it back to htc.
I'm currently having issues resulting in this same issue. I've tried mutiple different Roms aswell as using some SD roms in the hopes that I would fine a build suitable for my phone but I always end up getting bad results.
My previous NAND Rom worked fine for all of about 5 hours before I started getting freezes, restarting and constant boot loops along with massive battery drains.
Currently running the below ROM and so far, it's been the most reliable (going almost 12hrs without a hitch) but this morning I found it sat on the little blue android man screen. Had to do a battery pull and switched the phone back on, only to end up on the same screen again. I've left the phone for a fair period of time between each battery pull (probably around 30mins) but still get the same thing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=967353
Any idea's on how to fix this? Ideally I'd like to keep the same build I have now as its a really nice build... I just can't seem to get anything running properly.
Seem to have got it working again. Did a battery pull but left the battery out for a good 20mins before putting it in. Booted up first time and it seems to be working fine now.

Does anyone else HTC hd 2 with WP7 Dual boot Overheats?

I have a HTC HD2 running a WP7 and (Desire Z sd on my storage card). I am also using Maglrd v1.13 ,HSPL 2.08 and Radio 2.15.50 . Every time I boot into WP7 the bottom 1/3 of the HTC hd2 gets very hot and reboots the device or Freezes the Device, it also gives me an error message below 1EFATAL HIT 1. When I use Magldr v1.13 to boot into Android after the device has cooled down, the device also becomes hot and Android SD Desire Z freezes . This is been happening for a week I also tried other SD ROMs that works and I get the same results. Does anybody have that problem also, and can anyone advise a solution.

I dual boot fine. Its probably your phone hardware. Flash the stock rom and see if the problem persists to find out for sure.

I'm dualbooting and mine is fine... no overheating problems. Maybe try a different sd card... or try reflashing everything and starting over... see if it still happens.
I've Reflashed everything twice, put back the original rom and flash back everything . Used a 8gb sd card and another 16gb SD card same results .Device get warm to hot and become unstable as I stated.

Are you using an original HD2 battery? It's possible there's something wrong with the battery. Does it overheat no matter what you do... even if you just leave it in standby? Or is it with intense use? Have you tried just installing an android rom and see if it does it? Does it only happen when you dualboot? Maybe try using magldr 1.12 instead and see if that makes a difference?
I will use it three to seven minutes For example on WP7; Phone Call= reset, all other application = freeze or reset and resets twice while booting into WP7.IN Android All application freezes. I am beginning to think that the HD2 is faulty .

Probably it is from the sound of it, did your phone overheat before you put
android on your sd card? if so then get that warranty to work cause it seems like
now is the good time.
I'm also having the 1Efatal hit 1 error
Hd2 t9193 none branded I don't know what to do I've tried the stock Rom and it won't go in I might be using wrong one help plz
This sounds familiar...
Advice: be VERY careful here. I believe I busted my LEO's digitizer by ignoring this overheating issue. The screen's responsiveness will start getting erratic, and evetually it will give up.
Good luck

[Q] Problems with HD2 (Android)

Since this week I have a really big problem with my HD2.
November last year I started to install Android on my HD2, first on the SD card and then finally on the Nand (everything went well). Last week I installed one of the latest version and working just fine for one week it stagnated. I had to remove the battery, because nothing worked anymore. After that I got only the white starting screen with HTC and then nothing…
First I run Task29 and flashed it, HSPL, Radio, MAGLDR and then ClockworkMod Recovery. The result was that sometimes the white HTC starting screen popped up, tough I kept the power button pushed down, and sometimes I could enter the MAGLDR. If I finally got into the MAGLDR and tried to recover a backup or try to do a fresh/new install. I formatted the SD with the Panasonic SDformatter, but it didn’t had any effect. Finally I flashed the HD2 back to WM6.5 and the HD2 start working again (not very well). After this I tried to install Android on the SD card, but now the HD2 keep stagnates in the white HTC starting screen and nothing else works..
ROM: Boyppc Ginger 2.3.4 HoneyComB V27, with 150Mb system partition and an 1Gb ext2 partition on the SD card.
Is this a software or a hardware problem? Or both?
Can somebody please help me, because I have no clue how to repair this???
Best regards,
Janha,

[Q] Installing AmeriCanAndroid 01.11.15 keeps rebooting from splash screen

My friend who also has an HTC HD2 wanted Android. I already flashed my a few times so I (should) know the drill. I did the following steps:
- Ran Task 29
- Ran HSPL and selected HSPL 2.08
- Verified in the bootloader that it says HSPL 2.08
- Ran Magldr 1.13
- After reboot got into Magldr 1.13
- Ran the AmeriCanAndroid Setup file
- Selected USB Flasher in Magldr
- After the whole process it reboots and shows the AmeriCanAndroid splash screen
- after about 10 seconds it reboots, goes through magldr and shows the splash screen again.
It keeps rebooting. I never get to an Android screen or anything.
I tried to do the above steps multiple times, downloaded AmeriCanAndroid again to make sure I didn't had corrupted files, nothing unfortunately.
It seems this guy has the same problem.
I'm hoping I missed something stupid but can't think of anything. The only part I can think of that was different from flashes on my own phone is that his Radio was different. I had SPL 1.42.0000, he had SPL 1.62.0000. But as I'm using HSPL2 that shouldn't matter.
HSPL and MagLdr seems to work fine, and reading the forum thread the ROM seems to work fine.
Edit: I tried a different Radio (Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14**). This doesn't seem to solve the problem either.
Edit 2: I'm gonna try the 15.01.12 Nexus HD ICS build now, maybe that one will work.
Edit 3: I've installed ClockworkMod and the Nexus HD ICS build but it still freezes at the splash screen. (it does NOT reboot tho). Seems more people have this issue with this build tho, I'm hoping bad luck twice.
it seems you're not the only one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21508565&postcount=1292
Yes indeed, I didn't want to give the fault to the ROM (Even if it is, don't want to disrespect the effort of the builder) but it seems I really excluded every other problem it could be. I'm now looking for the 11.01.12 build, but can't find it.
Edit: I did find the 11.01.12 build SD, but no NAND.
So i have tried some more builds, latest one being the TyphooN stable 3.7.0 but no luck either. Every build seems to hang at it's splash screen. Is this a hardware issue?
