[Q] Gingerbread and installed dictionaries. - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hey,
I have a question, that's driving me nutz trying to solve. I used MDJ's 1,3 gingerbread build and it had loads of dictionaries installed, with one of them being the danish one. They worked perfectly with the core andriod keyboard. Now afterwards the dictionaries are gone from this bulids and only the english and a few others remain.
How did he manage to get those in the 1,3 build? Was it some keyboard add-on?

[Q] - Swedish Keyboard + other questions? Android 2.2 on HD2.

Hi everybody!
I just got my new HD2 from USA.
It was already installed with:
Android 2.2
kernel is:
2.6.32.15-g66f6ed7-dirty
cotulla-desktop #2
My questions are:
1- How do I found out which "Distro(?)" is installed on the phone? (Cyanogenmod etc)
2- How do I add a Swedish QWERTY-keyboard? At the moment I have Swedish wordlist etc, when I use the COMPACT-QWERTY, I have the Swedish symbols, but when I'm using (and what I want to use) the "normal" Swedish QWERTY-keyboard, there is no Å,Ä or Ö.
3- Is there anything else I should think about with this phone(+android)? I'm new to Android, was an iPhone fan, but hell, I thought I should try this out, and so far, I'm only surprised in a positive way.
Thanks!

CM7 - French Keyboard

Hi everyone,
I've juste installed the last CM7 version and it seems that physical kb is now configured as a QWERTY one (Well, almost, only A-Q and Z-W switched, M is OK, for example). Since some updates, i've used the French patch and no problem for me, but this last version is KO. Has someone the same problem ??
Thanks a lot.

Click to collapse
There is no need to apply keyboard patch. To use azerty, goto CM setting - Input - [Keypad style] it is easy to find. Then choose azerty and reboot to apply.
OK, my mistake, since the previous version I've installed needs the patch, I didn't looked at the parameters...

Android Standard Keyboard Dictionary

I previously installed MintBerry 1.10.21 + german language pack.
So far everything is very snappy and stable but I have one (for me) big problem.
I'm can't use a german dictionary with standard android keyboard.
Is there any way to install the german dictionary afterwards ?
With GalnetMiui everything was fine but I like MintBerry much more.
Thanks in advance
edit: I found what I was looking for

[Q] Dictionaries in 4.4 "KitKat"

Hi everyone!
Im new to this forum and (posting) but i have been reading here for ages, and i have really been struggling to find an answer to this.
I have been using 4.3 ever since it came out, and i love it, but i would really like to upgrade to 4.4 since, i like to be up to date with the newest features etc.
But i have located a minor problem with all the 4.4 builds i have tried, (PSX, Rastakat and Stock image) the dictionary for my language, Danish is not available.
In 4.3 when i marked Danish as the language for the keyboard, it would automatically download the dictionary and apply it, it does not do that in 4.4 and therefore it is pretty useless..
I know i can install a different keyboard, but really i have been using the AOSP one for ages, and like it the most, so if someone have a trick to get this working i would be really happy!
I believe this is also a problem for other languages besides Danish, but i have not been able to find any solutions, can some one help me?
I'm not sure if this is the case, but I had a similar problem after going from stock 4.3 to Paranoid Android. There was no option for my language (Lithuanian). But when I flashed a different gapps package the language was available
I have actually not tried that, although i have flashed BANKS GAPPS along with the rastakat signed one, but im not sure if thats actually the same, i will try to flash with PA GAPPS
*EDIT*
I have installed PSX rom with PA GAPPS now and i the dictionaries are working once again, thanks for the tip maslelviz!
