Hi fellow xda users, this is my first question ever on xda.
As I'm running ROM of CyanogenMod v4.2.5 for the HTC Magic (PVT32B) I also installed HTC_IME.
And only the English dictionary was available for the HTC_IME keyboard.
I couldn't find a way to add other language dictionaries as they were actually already installed but on default disabled on a ROM.
I figured out to apply "nl" to Custom Locale to have a Dutch dictionary, that worked all fine. But it also effects language on some applications like AdvancedLauncher. A lot is mixed up with Dutch and English language, I know this isn't a big deal but I like things clean.
So is there a HTC_IME which includes all languages in the list?
Thanks in advance.
Nobody has a solution?
Hi to all the the lucky one's which already have this phone
Does GB finally bring GUI in Hebrew/Arabic (I know it has locale, but in the sdk it does nothing)
Does it has keyboard in Hebrew/Arabic?
Does it has proper BIDI support?
screenshots would be great
Thanks in advance
It does have Hebrew and Arabic fonts (can open corresponding sites fine).
NO system interface in either.
Thank you

You have to find it on the market like Chinese one.

No Hebrew keyboard as well.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
it does now have hebrew on 2.3.5 and 2.3.7 but not arabic!!
Gingerbread has Arabic font but no RTL support. Letters aren't connected, that's why people go to custom roms like cyanogen and miui.
CM7 Nightlies have both font and keyboard for RTL
The solution - if you insist on using stock Nexus S ROM - is to root, deodex, then use the Arabic Univeral Patcher by madmack and brightidea here:
http://blog.devasque.com/?page_id=11
You will get Arabic interface, RTL auto-alignment, and correctly connected characters (the full package except Arabic keyboard).
For the Arabic Gingerbread keyboard (with suggestions), just rip the LatinImeGoogle.apk from the latest Cyanogen nightly and overwrite the one in \system\apps
You might find that you actually prefer SlideIt, SmartKeyboard, GoKeyboard, or some other Arabic-supporting market keyboard.
Another solution is to use the Cyanogen 7.1 RC1 or Nightly ROM as it already supports all of these features (maybe not the Arabic interface, not sure).
2.3.4 brought Hebrew keyboard and interface but..
2.3.6 took the Hebrew keyboard out.
Yet, no dictionary and no RTL support.
I expect full Hebrew support in ICS because Honeycomb does support this

Gingerbread keyboard does solve the problem. but not solves problem of rtl ... expecting of ICS ...
Hey,
I have a question, that's driving me nutz trying to solve. I used MDJ's 1,3 gingerbread build and it had loads of dictionaries installed, with one of them being the danish one. They worked perfectly with the core andriod keyboard. Now afterwards the dictionaries are gone from this bulids and only the english and a few others remain.
How did he manage to get those in the 1,3 build? Was it some keyboard add-on?
Hello everybody,
I'm searching now for a long time to get a german dictionary for my Hero with CM6.
I followed this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827593 Link and I love the setup.
But the Gingerbread Keyboard is only working with the english dictionary. Has anyone a link to a german dictionary or any idea to get it done ?
Greetings Max

Thanks a lot!
I am using slimkat, the latest stable version. In the options I did not see Dutch dictionary option to select, so instead I installed google´s keyboard but unfortunally no other dictionaries are appearing to the list, they are the exact same as when installed the rom. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
