Slimkat adding dictionaries to keyboard - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using slimkat, the latest stable version. In the options I did not see Dutch dictionary option to select, so instead I installed google´s keyboard but unfortunally no other dictionaries are appearing to the list, they are the exact same as when installed the rom. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Custom Locale with AdvancedLauncher

Hi fellow xda users, this is my first question ever on xda.
As I'm running ROM of CyanogenMod v4.2.5 for the HTC Magic (PVT32B) I also installed HTC_IME.
And only the English dictionary was available for the HTC_IME keyboard.
I couldn't find a way to add other language dictionaries as they were actually already installed but on default disabled on a ROM.
I figured out to apply "nl" to Custom Locale to have a Dutch dictionary, that worked all fine. But it also effects language on some applications like AdvancedLauncher. A lot is mixed up with Dutch and English language, I know this isn't a big deal but I like things clean.
So is there a HTC_IME which includes all languages in the list?
Thanks in advance.
Nobody has a solution?

[Q] Question About B7610 H/W Keyboard

Swype

I had Swype in my original rom, but when I upgraded rom I lost it.
Is there any way to get it back? I need finnish version of it. there was some beta program on swype page, but there were no finnish available.

Swype is still only in beta, there is no finished version.
You can get swype back by renaming the /cust/ folders to match /cust_backup/. There is no finnish version on my phone though (I doubt they can work out all the vowels ). Was the version on your phone finnish when you got it? What rom are you using?
Original rom was b133sp01 finland, elisa. There was swype preinstalled in it. Because of problems with dropping 3g network I tried B160.
But it seems like that rom didn't solve those network problems, so I'm thinking of downgrading now. Wish only that market would automatically reinstall my apps. In my old samsung spica that worked, but not with this. Only paid apps is installed after rom update.

by AndroidCommander removed all the keyboard from the system and installed the latest version of Swype with my language.
Now on my phone I have just one keyboard-Swype with black skin and Polish characters.
In Poland, x5 is not available so in ROM, it was not the language. Delete all files Swype (and other keyboards) from the system allowed the installation of new respective versions.

Android Standard Keyboard Dictionary

I previously installed MintBerry 1.10.21 + german language pack.
So far everything is very snappy and stable but I have one (for me) big problem.
I'm can't use a german dictionary with standard android keyboard.
Is there any way to install the german dictionary afterwards ?
With GalnetMiui everything was fine but I like MintBerry much more.
Thanks in advance

Hebrew swipe keyboard

Hello all,
I am a proud owner of the nexus 4.
I've had the default google keyboard for pure android
which I was able to use swipe on it for Hebrew.
That's because after flashing my os in the last time, right after
the device asked me if I want to download an Hebrew dictionary
Which I've download.
I've just finished flashing rom stock on my nexus and the device
didn't ask me if I want to download a dictionary again.
I see the swipe option isn't enable although according to the
keyboard preferences it should have been enabled.
My question:
Do you guys suggest a good nice keyboard that supports swipe
for Hebrew? (Right to Left language).
Thanks a lot you guys,
Love this forum
EDIT:>>>>>>>>>
If it's possible to use the stock google keyboard for hebrew swiping
it will be best, the question is how do I make it work?
and download the hebrew stock dictionary without the device asking?
Someone please ... ?

Click to collapse
For "stock" google keyboard do the following:
Open settings->language & input
Press on the settings icon on the google keyboard, swipe down to add-on dictionaries, press on it and select Hebrew.(if Hebrew isn't there press on refresh)
All done
