i had the Problem when i was flashing a NAND-ROM via DFT that i got this error-messages:
Error Description: send partition data failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (802)
Error Description: flash write failed.

i thought my NAND-Memory was corrupted and searched this forum and saw, that there are many peolpe having this problem without a solution.
Here is the way it worked for me:
1. i flashed back to WinMo 6.5
2. i flashed a 2.15_50 Radio-ROM (before 2.14_50)
3. if flashed MAGLDR 1.11
after this the error-messages went away and i was able to flash all NAND-ROMs.
I've had that error several times too. I found the issue to be various things.
One time it was related to the HSPL not being correct. Reflashing that part solved the issue on on device. In another instance, the phone wasn't properly communicating with the PC, so rebooting the PC and restarting activsync resolved it on that device.
I don't believe going back to WinMo is necessary, but if it worked for you, cool.
I've flashed and reflashed 3 different devices with various mods looking for the one I like best and I've found patience is the key factor all the way around.
Happy flashing.
Thats not necessary all you have to do is right click on DAF.exe and run as administrator

i always run DAF as admin and if it would have been this easy, there wouldnt be so much people having trouble with it.
i also did the usual things like reboot PC, flashing magldr 1.11/1.12, task29 and so on, but i didnt get rid of this error-messages. Therefore i was thinking that my nand was defective and i wanted to know, if i can flash a WinMo-ROM. After the Winmo-Rom-flashing was no problem i decided to give it a last try and it worked.
Remove your SD card before launching the flash... It solves the problem for me!
im currently new to XDA and HD2.
im having problems downloading the android 2.2 nand, i have the magldr 1.11 downloaded but the android nand download like is to rapidshare.
when i go to download the file it gives me a error message.
i got the link from techburrows video tutorial..
any help would be appreciated.
sorry if i posted this in the wrong place.
i think i found the download somewhere else.
i have a t-mobile usa hd2 with a 3.14 rom.
i know i have to install hardspl to flash the android rom.
im just not sure what i have to do to get hardspl on to my device.
In order to flash HSPL you need to downgrade to 2.08 spl first then you can flash the Rom of your choice. Here's a link as to how to do it for W.M. the steps are the same except that you'd use the android rom of your choice and it's loading instructions

i downloaded hspl but when i connect my phone and hit install it says...
RAPI.dll isnt installed, reinstalling might fix this problem. idk what that means.
is that activesync?
so i got everything to work.
downloaded hspl.
downloaded magldr.
downloaded android nand.
booted up magldr, put it in usb flasher mode, ran the dft android application but got this error.
Error happen
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
even tho my phone was connected. any help?
now magldr isnt working, at first the wait usb...usb showed up when i connected it.
but now its not doing it.
so now what?
I have been trying to load NAND on my tester HD2 since it was posted and never have gotten it to load once I'm running the DFT program. Doesn't matter which MAGDLR version I have used it never connects but in bootloader mode it shows im connected. It's crazy because the DFT WP7 loaded perfectly. I've about given up because Android works perfect from the SD for me so I'm just working on keeping the dual boot but am gonna use WP7 and run Android from the SD so I get the best of both worlds.

So I was able to get everything loaded up properly. Im just having problems with my internet connection.
Any help?
So I got everything working. I'm loving it. Thanks for the help.

Having a problem with a friends TMOUS HD2.
It was Borked when trying to install Android (Nand) and he gave it to me to try and fix.
Managed to get rid of MAGLDR by Task 29ing and flashing an 'EnergyROM' BUT.... it seems there is NO radio on the phone.
Trying to install the official TMOUS upgrade via the SD Card method fails at the radio stage with the error:
'00018003
LEOIMG.nbh - Fail
RADIO_V2 - RSA Fail'
Trying to install the official ROM via USB instead of SD Card, it always fails at 8%.
trying to install any radio via USB fails at 96%....
This has me confused as all hell.... any ideas??
Andy
What SPL or HSPL is on the HD2? This could be your problem.
Lots of similar threads if you look around carefully,, "stuck radio" its commonly called.
There are very very few successful ones, tho,I'm sorry to say. One or two along the lines of using certain test roms in a certain order, and such.
Good look, keep hopeful, but prepare for dissapointment.
have you tried flashing a radio via SD card?
also, have you tried uninstalling HSPL THEN stock ROM via official site?

Done both of those. Still fails when installing the radio,
If I do the radio ONLY, it fails at 98% wether its via USB or via SD Card. If I install the full official ROM, it fails at 8%, which is where its installing the radio.....
Been using HSPL 2.08 and SPL 2.08 ....

just for grins can you run HSPL4 and flash SPL 3.03 then try flashing a 3.04 ROM?
edit:
you might also try this:
1) flash task29
2) flash 2.15.00 via RUU,
this might work if for some reason some remnants of the ROM is somehow preventing your HD2 correctly communicating during radio flash.

Hey cerrect me if I am wrong but the OP can use the .nbh file of th e 2.15.00 radio to run the Task 29 on the HD2 but also flash the radio to the HD2. I mean Task 29 just needs a .nbh file to work.
Go check out post #2 and #6 of the [REF] Task 29 (format) without drivers, without mtty. thread.
you're right, it's the NBH file that makes the difference.
ok, well its definitely a radio problem.
I got the latest tmous upgrade rom from their site ( Using the Serial number to ensure it was the right ROM.)
T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_3.14.531.1
When I try to install it, it fails at 8%.
I purchased PSAS and used it to strip all the files out of the NBH, then I rebuilt it WITHOUT the radio.
The ROM installs fine now BUT.....
If I try to install the radio only, I get an error at 96%
So the phone is FINE to install a ROM on, but CANT install a Radio.... AT ALL.
Used HSPL 3.03 and 2.08, Also tried 3.03.0000 and 2.08.0000.
Did the task29 with the radio.... failed at the same point.
Tried making a goldcard with PSAS, but when I do that, it gets stuck on 'loading' when trying to flash the radio from SD Card (Tried 2 SD cards, both 2GB and the same thing happened.)
Contacted HTC Europe and they wont take the phone as its a US version
Dont suppose anyone has JTAG hardware and wouldnt mind trying to fix this as it seems it is my only option now

DUDE I GOT EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU....
And its not even my HD2
So you got any solution yet?
pleasee
FIXED
Got it sorted out now
How I did it:
PURE LUCK
Installed HSPL 2.08 on the phone
Downloaded T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_3.14.531.1 from the tmobile website.
used PSAS to split the nbh into its components, then rebuilt it WITHOUT the radio.
booted the phone into bootloader and installed the ROM via USB ( without radio)
Formatted a 2gb SD card in windows.... FAT32 4096kb cluster size
Radio 2.15.40.14 renamed to LEOIMG.nbh and put at the root of the SD card.
Popped it in the phone and booted. Started loading the nbh. Failed at 96%.
Rebooted. Started loading the nbh. Failed at 96%.

and what does that mean ghehe.
i want the phone back to get it back to the guy!! otherwise i need to pay a NEW HD2 for him and i cant...
EDIT: can you PM me the program or your msn maybe ? :$
you dont need the program..... Just install HSPL on your phone, Flash a ROM that has no radio (a custom ROM such as the EnergyROM would do fine) using USB/bootloader method then get the radio you need onto a freshly formatted (FAT32 with 4096kb cluster size) SD card LESS than 4GB in size. Rename the radio 'LEOIMG.nbh' and then just KEEP TRYING. Perserverance is the name of the game here.
I made over 50 attempts before one went through.
Oh.... gettting the ROM (with no Radio) onto the phone took a few attempts aswell. Think it was 3 or 4, but I kept going because the install was failing at different places each time)

hmm..
so in short.
I just put 2.08 HSPL on it, then install a CUSTOM rom.. after that, i get back to the bootloader and insert the goldcard with the freshly new 2.15 radio and when it gives a RSA failed error i just try like 50 times???
Thanks.
Worked for me. Dont even need a goldcard as they dont work with HSPL installed in the phone... only with stock SPLs

I decided to change WM6.5 on my htc hd 2 phone, Flashed to 2.08 HSPL
and Radio to 2.15, Installed MAGLDR.
I wanted to install andriod rom image but using Dark Force installer, I have an error msg that is as follows can anybody help me.
SD Kernel open failed, appears in red colour, before eMAGLDR Menu
When Boot menu appears and I try and install andriod by Dark Force installer the following msg comes up.
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
I want to install andriod, but would be happy to revert to WM6.5 ,can anybody help. (it is wife's telephone and she is angry with me! you will save me)

It looks like you have to start all over from the beginning, try a youtube tutorial there are many out there and many of the more experienced techs on here actually post those videos. Good luck and make sure you follow it step by step. Also check out a thread by a moderator by the name of MSkip he posted on here directions on how to install a rom on your phone.. it's located in the HD2 section.
I think you've probably got everything right except for the actual ROM flash. There aren't too many Android NAND roms that you can flash the usual way (i.e the DAF like loaders you used for HSPL and magldr), but you can try flashing CWM and then a good NAND Android rom. Check out the Android NAND development forum for a suitable rom to flash, you'll most likely find the relevant instructions there. Or you can start over with YouTube tutorials to guide you (that's what I did). Best of luck.
I have a HD2 but the down button is not working.
It has magldr 1.3 installed and the phone is running CM7. The mod version is MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 (v2.6) A2SD+
I really want to install a more up to date rom,a miui rom would be my chosen way.
Ive tried going through the process for one such rom.
I get to the point of running DAF and I get the following error:-
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (725)
Error Description: CONFIG: file not exist
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (359)
After this I tried selecting the AD recovery option I get this message in MAGLDR saying "No boot sources"
Ive no idea if cLK is even installed on the phone.
Any help with repairing the down button would be great. Ive seen new housings on ebay and one thread I read suggested this would replace the volume rocker. can anyone confirm this or a way of repairing it would be great.
Im not new to Android but I usually use clockwork mod on my other devices.
This HD2 Android experience is totally new!
I know that using clockwork mod I dont need a down button because I can go straight into recovery from rom manager. I have rom manager on the phone and have installed clockwork mod but what ever I do the phone just goes into MAGLDR.
Ive spent the best part of today trying to sort this out but all ive ended up with is a huge headache.
Any help would be really appreciated!
Welcome to the world of HD2
go to these steps:
- Run Task29 (will delete you phone storage complete (all data will be erase!)).
- Make sure you've got the right radio rom - but i think so
- install MAGLDR or CLK - i would prefer magldr for beginners
- flash Clockwork Mod Recovery
- flash your rom
if you need help with these steps, look in the forum after the HD2 Toolkit or even take a look with my tool (see signature) - its not up2date - but the steps and the tools which im using are )
i hope i can help ya a bit
edit:
oh your down button dont work - bad.. no down button no clockworkmod :/
Hi aagain, I'm glad you started a new thread.
I'd get a magldr user to confirm this before you try it but I think the 'no boot sources' error means cwm isn't present or corrupt. I know magldr users can flash cement via DAF but don't know if you have to do it from trial colour screen, if so your SOL. Try looking into flashing recovery via adb fastboot, I'm sorry I don't have time to research more for you, have a driving lesson in 10 min's
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
Thanks for your reply.
I tried doing a task 29 wipe but the problem is I need a down button to get the phone in that mode.
Hmm ive never used adb fastboot but is it possible to do everything I need to do with this to get it working this way?
Update:-
I found a past post saying about AD recovery No sources found error and a fix was given where you used to HD2 tookit to do a MAGLDR Repartition.
I tried this and I can now access clockwork mod via MAGLDR.
Ok ive now been able to install the miui rom I wanted.
Many thanks for your help guys
