It looks like you have to start all over from the beginning, try a youtube tutorial there are many out there and many of the more experienced techs on here actually post those videos. Good luck and make sure you follow it step by step. Also check out a thread by a moderator by the name of MSkip he posted on here directions on how to install a rom on your phone.. it's located in the HD2 section.

I think you've probably got everything right except for the actual ROM flash. There aren't too many Android NAND roms that you can flash the usual way (i.e the DAF like loaders you used for HSPL and magldr), but you can try flashing CWM and then a good NAND Android rom. Check out the Android NAND development forum for a suitable rom to flash, you'll most likely find the relevant instructions there. Or you can start over with YouTube tutorials to guide you (that's what I did). Best of luck.

i have a t-mobile usa hd2 with a 3.14 rom.
i know i have to install hardspl to flash the android rom.
im just not sure what i have to do to get hardspl on to my device.
In order to flash HSPL you need to downgrade to 2.08 spl first then you can flash the Rom of your choice. Here's a link as to how to do it for W.M. the steps are the same except that you'd use the android rom of your choice and it's loading instructions

i downloaded hspl but when i connect my phone and hit install it says...
RAPI.dll isnt installed, reinstalling might fix this problem. idk what that means.
is that activesync?
so i got everything to work.
downloaded hspl.
downloaded magldr.
downloaded android nand.
booted up magldr, put it in usb flasher mode, ran the dft android application but got this error.
Error happen

even tho my phone was connected. any help?
now magldr isnt working, at first the wait usb...usb showed up when i connected it.
but now its not doing it.
so now what?
I have been trying to load NAND on my tester HD2 since it was posted and never have gotten it to load once I'm running the DFT program. Doesn't matter which MAGDLR version I have used it never connects but in bootloader mode it shows im connected. It's crazy because the DFT WP7 loaded perfectly. I've about given up because Android works perfect from the SD for me so I'm just working on keeping the dual boot but am gonna use WP7 and run Android from the SD so I get the best of both worlds.

So I was able to get everything loaded up properly. Im just having problems with my internet connection.
Any help?
So I got everything working. I'm loving it. Thanks for the help.

[Q] Can't boot in to recovery to flash rom

Hello again everyone, I recently purchased a used HTC hd2, it has android on it now with clockworkmod recovery app also, But I want to put CM7 on it, So I reboot....Hold down power....select number 8 for the recovery, and it says go go go......but does nothing, I have a slide 3g my touch as well, but I am not comfortable with this phone yet....2 questions....I want to install cm7....can someone link me the exact file I need?...I'll worry about diff roms and themes later.....AND...How do I get into recovery to flash this cm7 rom?...I have mgcldr 1.3 on the phone now, a 8 gig sd card...I want to install the apps to the sdcard as well.....I have searched all over the forums and google, but like I said, I am confused on this only cause it is so new to me, and a bit different than mt3g......Help?...Thanks so much for reading.......Larry
find a good CM rom, and there you will find all instructions, usually it tells you how to.
but you can always reflash magldr and then go by ROM flashing instructions to reflash CWM recovery.
If choosing 'ad recovery' stops at 'go go go', i'd first try it a couple more times. I've had recovery fail a time or two the exact same way, only to work fine the next time I tried it.
If it just won't go into cwm recovery after trying a few times, re-flash cwm recovery with the appropriate system partition size for the rom you intend to flash. Do this by hooking your phone up to your pc by the usb cable and choosing 'usb flasher' in the magldr menu and then flash the recovery image. There is a thread to find your cwm recovery image in the 'hd2 android nand development' forum. Each nand rom thread usually says in the first post what size recovery image is preferred for that particular rom.
The hd2 may seem a bit confusing coming from a native android device, but compared to the mt3gslide, it's pretty straightforward, what with the slide's s-off procedure and the old rooting methods (I rooted back before rooting the slide was super easy lol). Once you can load up cwm, you'll feel right at home, it's just like flashing your old slide from that point on.

Hey
You may have a older version of CWM on your HD2. Go to option #2 Boot AD SD and see if that boots CWM If that works you are good but I do recommend going to the CWM threadcand downloading the newer version of CWM, just check the thread on your ROM to see what partion size you need with CWM. If it does not work you might have to flash the newer version anyway as the oder version required you to place two files for CWM on your SD card. The new CWM just flashes to NAND memory like a ROM would. You can either click on the link to CWM in my sig to go to the thread on CWM or you can click on my guide I wrote on MAGLDR and CWM that I have linked in my sig also. I Really recommended you read my guidecas you said you are new to the HD2. It will tell you exactly how to flash both versions new and old of CWM and all kinds of stuff that will help you out. All you need to do when downloading anew ROM is make sure you get the ROM download that says for MAGLDR or has MAGLDR in the file download link in the ROM thread. The ROM download links are usually in the first or secound post of the ROM thread. There are several CM7 based ROMs in the HD2 Android NAND Development forum. Just look for the Cyanogen 7 or CM7 in the thread title. Here is a link to the forum.

[Q] new HD2 owner with issues! Please help :)

I have a HD2 but the down button is not working.
It has magldr 1.3 installed and the phone is running CM7. The mod version is MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 (v2.6) A2SD+
I really want to install a more up to date rom,a miui rom would be my chosen way.
Ive tried going through the process for one such rom.
I get to the point of running DAF and I get the following error:-
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (725)
Error Description: CONFIG: file not exist
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (359)
After this I tried selecting the AD recovery option I get this message in MAGLDR saying "No boot sources"
Ive no idea if cLK is even installed on the phone.
Any help with repairing the down button would be great. Ive seen new housings on ebay and one thread I read suggested this would replace the volume rocker. can anyone confirm this or a way of repairing it would be great.
Im not new to Android but I usually use clockwork mod on my other devices.
This HD2 Android experience is totally new!
I know that using clockwork mod I dont need a down button because I can go straight into recovery from rom manager. I have rom manager on the phone and have installed clockwork mod but what ever I do the phone just goes into MAGLDR.
Ive spent the best part of today trying to sort this out but all ive ended up with is a huge headache.
Any help would be really appreciated!
Welcome to the world of HD2
go to these steps:
- Run Task29 (will delete you phone storage complete (all data will be erase!)).
- Make sure you've got the right radio rom - but i think so
- install MAGLDR or CLK - i would prefer magldr for beginners
- flash Clockwork Mod Recovery
- flash your rom
if you need help with these steps, look in the forum after the HD2 Toolkit or even take a look with my tool (see signature) - its not up2date - but the steps and the tools which im using are )
i hope i can help ya a bit
edit:
oh your down button dont work - bad.. no down button no clockworkmod :/
Hi aagain, I'm glad you started a new thread.
I'd get a magldr user to confirm this before you try it but I think the 'no boot sources' error means cwm isn't present or corrupt. I know magldr users can flash cement via DAF but don't know if you have to do it from trial colour screen, if so your SOL. Try looking into flashing recovery via adb fastboot, I'm sorry I don't have time to research more for you, have a driving lesson in 10 min's
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
Thanks for your reply.
I tried doing a task 29 wipe but the problem is I need a down button to get the phone in that mode.
Hmm ive never used adb fastboot but is it possible to do everything I need to do with this to get it working this way?
Update:-
I found a past post saying about AD recovery No sources found error and a fix was given where you used to HD2 tookit to do a MAGLDR Repartition.
I tried this and I can now access clockwork mod via MAGLDR.
Ok ive now been able to install the miui rom I wanted.
Many thanks for your help guys

[Q]windows mobile6.5 to android major problem

after tonnes and days of reading and digging out infos from this forum, i tried as much as i could to follow instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
but then, something went wrong and now my HD2 is not booting up. it is now stucked at the HTC splash screen. i can reboot to get the MAGLDR however.
what i did was, i flashed MAGLDR, as in the first step in the link above.
then i flashed this android ROM:
MAGLDR_Android_2.3.5_Runny.rar
from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298188
and then the problem started. i'm now searching for a way to recover my phone to the original condition, which was windows mobile. or even better, someone help me solve this and my phone can continue in android. i really need the android because the WolfRam alpha app is not available for windows mobile.
help me please, i'm nearing exams and i need help in my calculus so i decided to take the risk but unfortunately i'm now phoneless and going out of my mind.
thanks in advance
correct spl?
correct radio?
correct partition size?
Radio 2.15.50.14
HARDSPL 2.08
i didn't check the partition, how do i check that?
when you flashed CWM you chose a partition size based on the stated size for the rom you want to flash. it will be in the first post of that roms thread. Use teh nand toolkit, is teh easy way.
EDIT - oh wait, forget that, that rom provides its own cwm, , you have a 265meg system partition, so probably not that, (unless you missed out steps
Download archive with the MAGLDR loader and Recovery from here than unpack its content.
and
Run DAF.exe from MAGLDR_Recovery folder)
still stucked at the black screen with the green HTC words. i tried several times already and it won't start up.
is it possible to wipe the whole thing installed in the phone, and install android to it?
If you flashed magldr then it's all already gone.
I'd try a different rom. Maybe its simply that that rom doesn't like your phone for whatever reason.
Pick a rom
Enter magldr - USB flasher
Flash required partition size using the nand toolkit
Enter magldr option 8 ad recivery
Choose flash zip from SD - choose zip
Probably a stupid suggestion - but have you checked the battery pins? Make sure they're not bent in anyway and that the'yre making contact with the battery.
@samsamuel;
you were right, the ROM hated me :'(
i changed to using the coredroid ROM and everything worked thank you very much!!
@MrFoxx;
i checked the battery pins, and they were indeed bent! but it didn't give me any problem

Need Alittle help

My buddy want's me to flash his T-Mobile HTC HD2 he want android to replace the pos winmobile, but I am getting a headache from the different ways of doing it and coming to dead download links for files needed to do something.
I was trying to find a good tutorial video but even the Videos that are in the **HD2 Android NAND Development - Sticky Roll-Up Thread* are dead. I need the needed links for the files I need and a good and clear cut tutorial. Also What radio version is suggested in "Radio Thread for T-Mobile USA" for his phone.
The T-Mobile HTC HD2 was the recalled one because of the issues with Windows Mobile lagging, frezzing.

you can ignore the radio for now. its a tmous phone, so the current radio will not give any trouble. one less thing to worry about..
(lets assume you are flashing the paranoidandroid rom - this would require a 150meg system partition - all roms will tell you what partition size to use, it may for example say 150/5 - this means 150 system and 5 cache, , , see below) - get the rom you want, it will be a zip file, dont unzip it. copy it to your sd card.
get hspl4 (my sig)
get the nand toolkit (google for 'hd2 nand toolkit', probably top result)
phone into bootloader with voldown + power
run hspl4 - choose 2.08.hspl - - - double check this, nothing will work with anything but 2.08.hspl
back into bootloader
**
run the nand toolkit
click install magldr
phone will reboot into magldr menu - choose usb flashing
in nand toolkit on teh left select 150 in teh list, and type 5 in eth cache box below
click repartition magldr
when it reboots into magldr menu, choose option 8 - ad recovery - this will start CWM (clockworkrecovery) which was installed when you clicked the repartition magldr button
in cwm choose 'install zip from sd - choose zip from sd' and find teh zip you coppied over
thats it. In theory the phone will reboot and boot into android.
ok
I downloaded
-HD2ToolKit
-HSPL4
-MAGLDR version 1.13
So basicly with your instructions is like this w w w. youtube .c o m//watch?v=Zd9luUWJ34o&feature=fvwrel after MAGLDR is installed
My buddy was thinking about icecream sandwhich is there by chance a list of android for this phone or do you have a suggestion of a either for Gringerbread or Icecreamsandwich
Also another thing is I have a question is Backing up the contacts
go to the nand development thread, and pick a rom. read all of posts 1-3 of any rom you want to try, and make sure you take note of its required partition size.
they are all 'the best rom', so don't ask that question, hehe.
for contacts, if you have it currently synced with outlook, myphoneexplorer works well for me.
ok one more is if the Radio have issues like dropping out etc. if that happens would you suggest of the radio firmware be updated.
you could try SD ROM first then if you like it you can go to NAND, SD ROM is much easier to install, try the link link below it might help.
No matter what his phone needs it because when someone texts him the phone will lock up for 5+ min depending on the message and if there is an attachment. I gave him the choice of flavor of Android and he picked out MIUI Android distro en. miui .com/
Ran into a Snag his phone has SPL-2.10 go to have to downgrade it.
hspl3 or 4 can both handle 2.10, run hspl3, choose 2.08.hspl, done. , dont get caught out following old guides which say you must flash an older rom to downgrade it.
I used this and went with out a issue [GUIDE] Downgrading SPL from 2.10.0000 (stock TMO) to 2.08
My buddy's phone is now android and does not lock up when getting a text message I put the latest MIUI Android on it and they had the install guide on there site.
