[Q] Motorola Defy MB525 emulator - Android Software Development

Hi,
I need to troubleshoot an email sync configuration problem with a motorola defy MB525 for a client but don't have one myself. I thought the easiest way is to figure it out on an emulator. I downloaded the android SDK etc but I also need the MB525 roms or firmware. Where can I get that from? Is there an AVD I can download specific to this device?
Thanks
Noob

Using Latest CyanogenMod rom on Android Emulator ?

Hi there,
I was wondering if there is any way to use latest Cyanogen Eclair Rom on emulator.
I'm asking that because I am behind a proxy on my computer and I can't get the basic emulator to connect to internet with this proxy.
I thought I can use "Proxy settings" in the cyanogen rom to connect my emulator to internet...
Thanks !
Yes, please share with us on how to load the custom ROM into the SDK emulator. Thanks in advance.

I've already tried this link, but it seems that with latest cyanogenMod this procedure does not work anymore.
Did you manage to do it with CM 5.0.6 or 5.0.7 (which adds proxy support)? If so can you give me your system.img ?
Yes, it would be a great tip if anyone could tell us if it's possible to run CM 5.x.x and if so, how to do it.
I suppose we need a full nandroid backup to accomplish that and a link would be great.

I tried by doing a nandroid backup but it's not working (every app is FCing once the emulator is launched). I think it's because the kernel has changed in CM 5.0.7 but not sure, don't know a lot of things about rom kitchen..
I would also like to try a CyanogenMod image on the emulator. Anyone know how to create a .img file that can be used?
Has anyone been able to do this yet?

[Q] Developing on the HD2 with Gingerbread

Hello,
is it possible to develop Android Apps directly on the HD2 using Gingerbreak instead an emulator?
I don't get it to work.
I followed the steps from android.com but the Device-Chooser doesn't show my device.
Im using PPC_SHIFTPDA Gingerbread where USB is working fine.
What am I doing wrongly?
Thanks for your answers

...but then, what?!
I want to a) delete all thats on the phone and b) install cyanogenmod and the google pack.
If I find several pieces to go through the comlete installation I am happy to make one complete post out of it for everyone.
Thanks,
Jean
That is for defy not defy+
You will get a frequently updated CM7 at fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=cm7&device=jordanplus
Flash the ROM from here on your defy+.
Root your phone and install 2nd init. Then flash the rom in custom recovery. There are plenty of tutorials! Even videos! Google
