Puzzle Unlock screen (i searched) - Epic 4G General

Ok still trying to find an answer...is there a way to get the touchwiz puzzle piece unlock screen on the Epic?....i am rooted but not running any roms but dk28....and i have searched the forums...

I've been looking for this also... anyone know if they have it???
Android nerd learning new things daily

No we don't have one we can use as far as I know. We've all searched and searched but none have succeeded yet. Not even any close imposters. Figure by now Widgetlocker or Lockbot would've added it in but no go yet.

Stargate SG-1 Dial Home Device

I think I posted this in the right sub-forum. I had the G1 but got the MyTouch 3g a few days ago. I was looking around on my itunes and I saw an app for the DHD that's on Stargate available as an app to replace the stock dialer on iPhones. I was wondering if there are any apps out there that replicate that app but on Android. I looked on the market but I found nothing and I have searched the forums for both the Magic and Dream, but still to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm posting a link for anyone who doesn't know what the Dial Home Device is. Thanks.

Double Post.
Thread closed. G1 Q&A seems a better place for it.

A question about Fpsece

Hey ho, Ive been reading this forum for a while but never really contributed, but i finally have a question!
I recently bought an HD2 from virgin media (cracking deal + using stock rom and unlocked!)
im using the latest version of the supported app fpsece but i just cannot enable multitouch on it, which is obviously critical in using the app
ive tried reading everything on their own forums but nobody seems obliged to help
any ideas? the app knows im using an hd2 and multitouch is supposedly supposed to be active by default.
cheers,
Nick
You are probably not posting in the correct sections of the fpsece forums. There are lots of people there more then willing to help you out.
What i would suggest is you download the HD2 optimsed pack and install it. if you read this thread carefully you cant really go wrong:

totally forgot. Read those too! Those are great threads to read before posting up any questions, if you run into any trouble, etc.
One more thing...read and read and read and read. You have an expensive phone...all the info you need is here...but do yourself a favor and read for a few days so you understand what you are doing. That will limit your questions and headaches…
There are very helpful people in theses forums and they are more likely to help you after you have you have tried to help your self.

Congratulations on breaking free. Just one piece of advice in addition to the links others already posted - to make your life on these boards more pleasant, use the search before posting questions. There's a good chance the info is already available.
Thank you .
Im reading all this through the app so kind of.hard to read it all bearly getting used to the phone too thanks tho and I will start reading .

Welcome
Like all ....welcome the above posts have provided links, remember a couple of things, Go slow at first before changing up the phone... get used to the phone. Look at the apps here and on the android market
Look at the development section in the Vibrant forum and read alot of the posting and links about the custom ROMs. The people who made them are superior to the service provider developers.
Once you are comfortable with your background/reference education then, start modifying the phone. You are going to find this is SUCH a good phone to customize, and way user friendly than others I have used in the past. Good luck, and welcome
Welcome +1!
We're here to help as long as the question hasn't been posted 15x10^n times =) Reading is integral to learning more about your phone. Peek into the dev forum but don't post any questions in there unless directly related to a ROM you've flashed (and even then search the thread for your answer [there's a search thread button at the top of the page]).
There are many good people on the forum even when the get short tempered due to "failure to read" syndrome.
Congratulations on a wise purchase, your phone is only going to get better (we've got some great devs ).

[Q] Deleting "Bloatware"

Hello,
I am new to the XDA developer forums so forgive me if i have put this in the wrong part of the forum. I have looked around and thought this was the best place to put this.
I was wondering is there any way of deleting bloatware from the Galaxy s3 GT-I9300 besides rooting? i have been through the applications manager, and used the "All in one toolkit" app. But as far as i could see it would only let me delete certain applications. I have looked into rooting but i am still sitting on the fence whether or not i want to do it as i wouldnt like to end up messing it up and not being able to fix it.
All help is much appreciated and again sorry to moderators/admins if i have put this in the wrong section.

This should have been in the Q&A forum.
To answer your question, the bloatwares are system apps and to access system files you will have to root your device. Your call, mate.

Triangle away and "custom" unlock icon at boot

Hey guys just got my s4 this morning and rooted it a little while ago with the motochopper root method... everything went smooth but for some reason I did get the custom unlock icon at boot.. I was going to use triangke away 2.90 but its says in there: counter: 0
Binary: official
Device: i337
That being said I don't want to mess it up worse using triangle away since the app says everything is ok
Thanks in advance for your help

This issue has been brought up many times. Please use the forum search function to find the posts about it. The information in those posts will be far more useful to you than anything that will be posted here. Good luck.

Task helped me out and I try not to post useless questions but I did search through the xda app and google using the term "s4 custom unlocked after root" and some other variations and all I got from both is about the bootloader nothing close to the question I had. I appreciate you trying to keep the forums manageable just putting it out there ive been around the forums a while and know how frustrating it can get. . I also looked at tge post task pointed me to before I posted my question but nobody had answered it yet

That screen means nothing, in fact if everyone has not figured it out yet, IT IS A SAMSUNG BULLSH$$ splash screen. When you flash your first rom, that will be replaced by another splash screen. And everyone has asked the same question, if it were me, I would have went back to the thread were I got the instructions to do whatever, and the fix has been mentioned there, for all new people, if you are in a thread, and try something in that thread, GO BACK THERE, chances are your solution is there. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I am so bored I can not hold back answering some of these....
I think it might be time to start stickying some of the more popular threads so they are more visible. Threads with How tos, tutorials, Root methods, etc...Of course, this won't solve the problem of people not looking or searching before they ask the same old questions(which is 99% of the time), but it might help in cases like this when the OP attempted a search using the XDA app (which may or may not be very accurate at searches) and still didn't find what they were looking for. However, it is just a suggestion.

and a good suggestion at that...lets direct them to the area from where they are having issues...i am sure each op would rather help more in his own thread...

no one is pissed off at you..how long was your question there? i have posted and waited for an answer..and believe me..while you are looking around waiting for a reply..you will most likely find your solution before you see your message answered. Look in ALL the S4 threads and you see a solution. just because you have an att, doesn't mean you can't snoop around and absorb some the knowledge...there are alot of good users here...some have been here for years...so my advice would be read what they are talking about.. if you noobs are serious about modding and such..reading would be your best friend.

I know nobody was pissed and I wasnt trying to come off as sarcastic or angry.. ive been rooting and such since my first moto droid on Verizon.. I repair phones on the side .. I knew what the custom icon meant.. what I should have conveyed better was since the triangle away app said everything was ok with phone if I were to use it would I end up with a brick... it just happened to work out that tasks answer to the other members question about what the icon meant or why he would have gotten that icon in the first place and answered mine as well.. well an alternative to what I was going to use triangle away for... I only responded to scott to put out there that I did search via google and the xda app and couldnt find anything exceot info about the locked bootloader and similar posts regarding the s3 and the custom icon.. ive been here a number of years and with a whole array of devices and I know it can be frustrating answering the same question over and over or digging through the same question over and over to find the right answer...
I didnt take as he was pissed... I didnt intend to come back as sounding pissed and I apologize if thats the way it was taken
