Hey ho, Ive been reading this forum for a while but never really contributed, but i finally have a question!
I recently bought an HD2 from virgin media (cracking deal + using stock rom and unlocked!)
im using the latest version of the supported app fpsece but i just cannot enable multitouch on it, which is obviously critical in using the app
ive tried reading everything on their own forums but nobody seems obliged to help
any ideas? the app knows im using an hd2 and multitouch is supposedly supposed to be active by default.
cheers,
Nick
You are probably not posting in the correct sections of the fpsece forums. There are lots of people there more then willing to help you out.
What i would suggest is you download the HD2 optimsed pack and install it. if you read this thread carefully you cant really go wrong:

I understand you expect everyone new to read everything available on the subject before asking for help on some stuff that's been talked about very much, but please understand how hard it is for newcomers.I bought my UNI 7 days ago and i'm in the same situation, but i read a lot every day,i wanted to learn how to safely flash it to 6.1.The more i read the more i am scared and understand less and less. There are so much names and terms and stuff which makes us dizzy.I posted once for help,i got instructions but was not enough.I decided not to flash,i'm not capable. But i read still everything on that subject.Even though i'm an advanced pc user i have difficulty to get this new stuff straight. So i understand that sometimes someone just got to simply ask. Thanx for understanding
It's all in the wiki. You don't need to read everything. Just what's relevant to you at that particular moment in time. Then when you want to do something else then read up about that.
Oh and WM6 on the uni does NOT support videocall.
Off you go and enjoy.

As I'm using my mattc Android 1.5b build on my HD2 and it works almost PERFECT, I can't stop wondering if a flash ROM will be available in the future..
The reason I am asking about this is because whatever HTC winmo model I'm googling for (TD2 android, Blackstone Android..etc...etc) I ONLY find HaRET boot's.. As I haven't seen any Android flash ROM I'm wondering if that's even possible..?

You should really search before making a new post. Its not possible yet and if it was you would see a thread about it... This question has been asked about 40 times this month alone...When it comes out trust me you will know, So long as you READ and Follw this site like the rest of us
Yes I do read and follow. But I'm abit newbish on theese forums. I just found out that I should have questioned this in one of the stickys.. I apologize..
About that it's not possible, do you mean on the HD2 or in general?
My questions will go to the right thread from now on
As far as I've read it's looking like it MAY happen soonish. Currently, no all the builds are loaded off of your SD.

OR you could search, or even browse the forums for the answer, instead of asking a question which seems to be answered at least once a day here
I'm a 'newbie' too.... and we would forever be 'newbies' without searching/browsing/reading.
Check HTC Kaiser. It has NAND Android, and is/was winmo based.

totally forgot. Read those too! Those are great threads to read before posting up any questions, if you run into any trouble, etc.
One more thing...read and read and read and read. You have an expensive phone...all the info you need is here...but do yourself a favor and read for a few days so you understand what you are doing. That will limit your questions and headaches…
There are very helpful people in theses forums and they are more likely to help you after you have you have tried to help your self.

Congratulations on breaking free. Just one piece of advice in addition to the links others already posted - to make your life on these boards more pleasant, use the search before posting questions. There's a good chance the info is already available.
Thank you .
Im reading all this through the app so kind of.hard to read it all bearly getting used to the phone too thanks tho and I will start reading .

Welcome though! I also came from an iphone over a year ago and ive never looked back.

Welcome
Like all ....welcome the above posts have provided links, remember a couple of things, Go slow at first before changing up the phone... get used to the phone. Look at the apps here and on the android market
Look at the development section in the Vibrant forum and read alot of the posting and links about the custom ROMs. The people who made them are superior to the service provider developers.
Once you are comfortable with your background/reference education then, start modifying the phone. You are going to find this is SUCH a good phone to customize, and way user friendly than others I have used in the past. Good luck, and welcome
Welcome +1!
We're here to help as long as the question hasn't been posted 15x10^n times =) Reading is integral to learning more about your phone. Peek into the dev forum but don't post any questions in there unless directly related to a ROM you've flashed (and even then search the thread for your answer [there's a search thread button at the top of the page]).
There are many good people on the forum even when the get short tempered due to "failure to read" syndrome.
Congratulations on a wise purchase, your phone is only going to get better (we've got some great devs ).

I keep searching posts looking for an answer but I can't seem to find anyone else who has asked or addressed it.
Is it possible to just install an Android rom on the HD2 instead of running it over WM?
I would like to just run Android and get away from WM all together...
Thank you

Yes, it was a serious question. Thanks for the constructive input, but maybe this will be slightly more helpful.
Look in this forum....

Be ready for lots of reading. Don't be overwhelmed by the amount of information in there. Start with the sticky threads and the [GUIDE] threads and you'll be fine. If you've got specific questions after that then it's probably best to direct them at existing similar threads, rather than create new ones. (Seriously, nearly every question about this topic has already been asked and answered!)
Good luck
