I just updated to DJ05 and now all of the sudden whenever I play any audio file on my fascinate I get static, it doesn't happen constantly but enough to be annoying. Does anyone know of a fix for this?
Try a different kernel.
Mine did that on the jt roms. Doesn't do it with blackhole 2.4

Oh ok, I installed Jt's clean rom and then matted blues over it >.<
I like his rom, but the audio was a deal breaker for me. You can get the new blackhole through rom manager.

I got backhole but the same thing is happening. Any ideas?

This is a very n00b question but.. what does the low voltage/overclocked mean?
I understand that overclocked means that he has done something to improve the speed of the phone but what exactly was changed? Also, I'm assuming the opposite of this, underclocked means that something was toned down a bit to save battery life?
I'm on stupid fast 1.54 not sure why it would do it for me and not you.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Underclocking won't really save as much battery power as undervolting
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
His 12/19 is undervolted and overclocked. 12/20 is just undervolted, but honestly didn't have as good of results

Too bad he is done with the fascinate.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Damn o hadn't heard that . I would say there isn't a lot more that can be done at this point. But that's okay .. since I can't think of anything more I need. Things will pick back up when 2.2 comes. I'm in no hurry.

I wouldn't get too excited.... It's a base to build from but the overall feel is..... It's no better than froyo just yet..... I thought 2.3 was supposed to make our phones at least comparable to the snapdragon cpu power?
If anyone watched the video.... I was under the impression that quadrant was incompatible with 2.3.... But it runs through flawlessly on the video... Does that strike anyone else as odd?
okay guys! 6 months left till we get it!
New i9000 GB is running great. Will be putting out a stock+fixes build a little later today [hopefully]. GPS still doesn't work, but that's to be expected. Toggle headset still needs to be used to listen to music on headphones. Good news is the ram issue is 100% gone. Stock music player doesn't give reboots either.

Spoke to Reston, VA today. They claim they are still working on the official GB update to the Epic with Samsung. They don't want to have any problems like they had with the Froyo update (according to them- there was a "lag" issue with the rotation on 2.2 OTA update). No date planned as of yet. Please stand by...
As long as its working right when it comes out. Thanks.

if only we could get em to release the source (with EVERYTHING needed) and let the community fix it for them, since we all know it would happen 10x faster than they are getting things done. Oh well, keep dreaming right?
Samsung should just give up and let the Epic community work on GB. Give them the source code and I bet they will have a fully functional build of GB within a month.

I dont know why anyone uses the stock browser anyways. With so many other options that feature better performance and cleaner UI's I cant understand what everyones problem is. I have never had a stock browser on my phone. It's the first thing I delete.

Also on that same note how about a video on the 3g/4g settings from the thread make your 3g faster and your 4g disconnect less, I know when I first got my epic and tried applying that hack I had a few problems, but then you could include things like how to get your MSL (getprop MSL.ril) and whatnot...

A video about OC and Untervolting using SetPCU or Voltage control would be good, I'm on SRF 1.2 using the Genocide 2.0 kernel and Voltage control but not really sure what kind of settings I should use or if SetPCU would be better for me, and possibly a vid about installing or choosing the right settings on the SuperCharger v6 or v8 whichever is out now.
A good video would probably be an introduction to the v6 supercharger script for our phone, and quite possibly throw in suggestions from JohnCorleone about which options would be best for what purpose, since I'm aware he tested this to some degree.
Btw welcome back

Need a rom to use! I've tried trigger and it wasn't as customizable. I'm currently using cyanogen. Way more customizable but is slower.... I want to use a rom that can get atlest a 20000 benchmark. With these I've only gotten about 13000 -15000. I still want a gingerbread look or above.

If your into experimenting Eugene is working on an ICS rom. It is still in Alpha but data works you can make calls receive text. Not recommended for daily use as the camera and GPS don't work as of yet, but if you don't mind being on the bleeding edge its an awesome start.
I found a ics miui and I'm gonna test it when I get home.

Thats the same theme I had on MIUI 2 days ago as well, its pretty sweet. I switched over to see what the progress was with the ICS rom but that theme and MIUI is very nice as well
I used to be a big benchmark dude, however ive found overclocking cant make up for bloat. Streamline, day to day use ill take snappy over speed, check cpu spy usage, you rarely use 1200 or 1300. the vibrant cpu is just working with what you loaded.
Right now I'm currently using this miui,I forget the name. Using a ice cream sandwich theme.clocked at 1.6 gigahertz. Getting a benchmark of 1760-20000

+1 Once I found out that you can cheat Quadrant benchmarks about a year ago, I never took much stock in them and have not posted any scores bc I agree with Tibbs, functionality and snappiness are where the payday is at. Anyone can pull a 2500-3000 on Quadrant with a few build.prop and egl edits but if you have constant FC's, then what is the point? I'm using Toxic8 OC'd at 1200 and pull 2100's but I never get FC's and it is a great daily driver.
