DJ05 causes audio issues? - Fascinate General

I just updated to DJ05 and now all of the sudden whenever I play any audio file on my fascinate I get static, it doesn't happen constantly but enough to be annoying. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Try a different kernel.

Mine did that on the jt roms. Doesn't do it with blackhole 2.4

Oh ok, I installed Jt's clean rom and then matted blues over it >.<

I like his rom, but the audio was a deal breaker for me. You can get the new blackhole through rom manager.

I got backhole but the same thing is happening. Any ideas?

This is a very n00b question but.. what does the low voltage/overclocked mean?
I understand that overclocked means that he has done something to improve the speed of the phone but what exactly was changed? Also, I'm assuming the opposite of this, underclocked means that something was toned down a bit to save battery life?

I'm on stupid fast 1.54 not sure why it would do it for me and not you.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk

Underclocking won't really save as much battery power as undervolting
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk

His 12/19 is undervolted and overclocked. 12/20 is just undervolted, but honestly didn't have as good of results

Too bad he is done with the fascinate.

Damn o hadn't heard that . I would say there isn't a lot more that can be done at this point. But that's okay .. since I can't think of anything more I need. Things will pick back up when 2.2 comes. I'm in no hurry.

Am I the only one who likes everything about 2.1 better?

2.2 just seems....unpolished? Tons of little annoyances, choppy browser even on non flash pages, etc. I don't know...I'm just not feeling it.

Not feeling a very beta build that barely made it to any testers?
Can't imagine why you wouldn't be feeling it.
It's not a finalized version. There are bugs and such because its a leak. Its more then likely a leak of a beta version of 2.2

The DL30 leak is great, yes a bit buggy at times, but I also have no to desire to even think about 2.1 again. So happy to have some of the little features I've been missing. I was just about to give up on my fascinate, but the same day I was talkin to a buddy at work the leak came out. I was seriously sittin at work b!tchen about not have 2.2 and check on here and BAMMM.. there it was. I had 2.2 loaded on my phone faster then you could blink! lol

Only bug I've really notice so far is that my comcast email doesn't come through. I get the email notification but it doesn't show anything. Other than I love it. Works well with the ea28 baseband.

Overclock advise

Overclock your vibrant phone after rooting it and flashing trigger 2.2?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Did you flash an overclocked kernel?
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
Nope I didn't just root and then put trigger 2.6 that's it nothing else
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
You have to install a kernel that allows OC in order to do so. Even then you may get problems if you have a Vibrant thats picky about its voltages.

If you are OK with loss of Battery life over clocking is OK. For me, having a phone that after 24 hr of moderate use I still have 65% battery left is Awesome !!
Giving that that up just to have a higher Linpack or other high benchmark score ...to me is pointless..........
It will kill you phone if you oc high frequency

Nopee You Just Choose The One You Like....Dead Horse Its One Of The best .. and overstock too
I personally like Overstock with Bionix. I get about what everyone else is getting with this set up, 1700's, for the quadrant. I read too many issues with Deadhorse vs Overstock so I went with it.
FTR, I was keeping up with the different builds right up to maybe the last two so I am NOT saying Deadhorse is bad. Many people have been satisfied with it.
Deadhorse from what I read is a little more customizable than Overstock but when it comes to the kernel I don't like to get that technical. I like mine in "here you go" form.

Well custodian uses it and says its way better than Darky's ram tweak. So I'm hoping Custodian chimes in to let us know where to get it. Anyhow, its supposed to tweak our Ram/cpu to somehow make it quicker and more responsive. It does the same thing as Darky's ram booster tweak does, just better tweaks, I'm assuming.

Any clue if this will work with SRF 1.1.0?
Wow this thing really worked..... Im running srf 1.1.1 w/ genocide kernel 1.1 oc 1.4ghz..... gonna run some benchmarks.... be back in an edit soon....
Edit: nothing secial in benchmarks but you can deffinatly tell its working with how smooth everything is.... and the ram is at about 178mb use in the stock task manager

I realize that we have no source for the kernel on EE03, but does anyone have an idea if it contains support for init.d? Out of curiosity.
I was curious about this RAM tweak. Thanks Custodian for posting the link. EDIT..ok, I decided to go for it and this seems to really make a difference! I am running Urban Fury with Genocide 1.1, 1400/200. It made everything super smooth and things seem to open faster...just like advertised. When I get back to my PC, you have a thanks coming Custodian.

Now that I have found is I can't live without it. This script eliminates bootlags and boosts performance system wide. It is totally safe. I am using it on my HTC Thunderbolt, MyTouch 4G, and my Samsung Galaxy Tab.

I don't think the flashable version works at all, the script never actually shown up in the int.d folder, I had to do it the manual way.
