I think so! However, not sure if it'd be a very pretty sight - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC0LMcVK8KU
A new battery here in the UK costs about £9.99 from easydevices . co . uk
Not a good thing to open ourselves 10 pound is nice price but I wiil opt to replace by professional.
There is a guide of opening up a tab

Ok so I want to order a new replacement battery for my G2. the problem is I am a little weary because when I had a Moto Cliq before I ordered a new battery from Hong Kong, (dumb) which ended up blowing and possibly screwing my phone. Anyway I'm on Ebay and see a USA seller with a replacement for six bucks. What should I look for exactly when getting a replacement? I know I want to look for the keywords "direct replacement". Anyway, here's the link to it if you want to look.

If you are looking for an OEM replacement, $25 is not a bad price. There are many battery threads in the accessories section if you are looking for a non-OEM that has some more juice to it.
Just remember that you get what you pay for... A $6 battery in a device that would cost you $300-400 to replace off-contract... Doesn't quite add up.
Thanks much guys. Pretty much what I was thinking.

anyone knows one that is at least nearly as good as the original?
ebay is filled with fakes trying to look good and just plain fakes.
i bought one which i knew it wasn't genuine but i thought "what the heck, it's probably good for a few hours" and it isn't. i have to underclock the cpu so the phone wouldn't reboot and in lasts 6 hours if i'm lucky.
Just get the original. Its not that expensive. In india it is 1000 bucks. Do the math..
Bought two on DealExtreme... obviously fake and been using one without any issues.. honestly can't tell if it's fake or original judging only by the endurance.
I would like to share my experience of battery purchase. I bought a battery from ebay, this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/19066970991...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1357wt_1141
I recieved the package in just over a week, but it was a battery for some ZTE device!!! I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me another one. Under one week later I had my new battery(seems like an original battery).
On first charge it seems to hold a lot better then my 15 months old battery I had. Charging now takes 1.5 hours like it used to, the old battery was 0-100% charged in 30-40 minutes, with the original charger.
So for 4.99$ or in my case under 4€ including shipment I can go more then a day of normal use, surfing, mail, calling, reading xda..
Or easily 2 days of light use.
I think it was well spent money, I recommend!
Edit: I guess I should mention that battery tested with ezet CM7.

Also bought one from DealExtreme, it works ( no problem there ) but mine doesn't last as long as the original one ( tested on the official 2.3 ), but great for spare if you don't have a charger around .

Where do you get the original one? In bangalore? any idea
In Bangalore, Huawei has a service center near KR Puram. They actually couriered me one since Im too lazy to move around too much
Any huawei service center should be able to give you one if you turn up. Give them a call first.
Is there anyone here who can help me buy a new battery in India?

Hey guys,
Not sure if it belongs here or should be in another section, basically I want to share my experience with buying a tablet from best buy with the black tie program. My asus tf101 stopped charging so, I was like aright time to head to best buy to get it repaired. But, They said we don't repair tablets can only replace it with another. I was okay with that too, then they said You got to buy a new warranty since you are getting a new tablet, the old warranty has been fulfilled. Now that's made me angry so you only get 1 replacement out of a 2 year plan.... Epic fail or what? Sorry for my rant....
i would have gone through asus not best buy to get it replaced or fixed as the device itsself comes with a year warrenty

That been awesome but I'm out of the 1 year warranty that Asus offers. Any way I just want to let users know that best buy don't repair tablets so kind of a useless warranty

The list of stuff that best buy actually fixes is quite small.
Think about it. I could buy a tablet & buy the warranty. Then I could conceivably keep going to best buy to get a newer tablet say one a month. That is the reason their warranty replaces the item once which isn't just unique to tablets.

Yeah, but mine had a legit problem and I was basically forced to get a different tablet....It was either take their replacement or leave with a broken tablet....
I don't care much for Best Buy either but I think you would have found this would of happened with most other stores as well. Best Buy is only obligated to replace your item for 30 days then it goes to the manufacturer warranty which I believe only last a year. After that, your item breaks then your out of luck, normally. However, you purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy which means they will replace it (If they can) long after the manufacturer warranty ran out. In that sense they're taking the hit for the manufacturer's defect. The extended warranty did it's job and saved you from having to buy a new tablet. Also, it's natural they couldn't replace an over a year old tablet, the mobile world moves fast and three other transformers have come out since the TF101. I doubt many (if any) Best Buy stores still carry brand new TF101's. I'm at least assuming they let you select a tablet that's worth what your TF101 was at time of purchase?
What's the problem you are getting a new tablet on the warranty past the year the manufacturer gives you.If the new warranty is less than full price of the tablet ok they have to make some money on the deal.I personally never buy the extended warranty on tech items under $500 usual if it breaks it's in the first year. That's why BB makes a lot of money on this most don't break. They never fix anything just replace it cheaper for them.
I don't think that is a bad deal.
- with warranty You waked out with a new tablet.
OR
- Without warranty You go home broken.
It is definitely different than PC warranties, my neighbor has been through 3 HP laptops on the same warranty and they keep extending it. She is definitely getting her money's worth but I'm sure that HP lost money on that deal. If you are still upset make sure you let best buy know about, and and not just verbally. It maybe worth writing or calling and trying get upper level support involved. Never hurts to read the fine print too if you still have the original paperwork
Just my 2¢

yeah ... thats the problem. if i do that way i wont have phone for more than mounth.
Guess battery replacement should be done ASAP. I would recommend checking with service centre prior making third party purchase.

I can understand why you don't want to send it in. It took them 3 months to get me a replacement phone when mine broke.
...what is the going rate in your area & what company did you use to get it replaced? Thanks in advance...

Wow, that's cheap. Especially compared to the $151.00 Huawei wants for me to send it back to them and have it fixed.
Did it fix the battery issues for you and which battery did you go with? If you don't mind my asking that is...

I went with the Cameron Sino battery on Amazon. I ordered the glass cover also, because it was cheap, and I read a lot of people break it removing it. It was a good thing, the store also broke it removing it. I figured worst case they wouldn't need that part, and I'd return it . Before the fix my battery was acting erratic, dropping 20% in 10 minutes sometimes. The replacement completely corrected the issue.
Huawei Greece replaces the battery for 10€ as soon as you are in the 2nd year of guarantee.
