I bricked this awhile back, like couple years ago?
But I'm stuck at the boot screen and I don't think I can access bootloader (Camera+Power right?)
I was wondering if there's a way for me to force the required files onto it? I think the problem as to why I left it alone couple years ago was that it wouldn't get recognized on the computer.. so there was no hope.
But are there any new methods? Besides JTAG?
Thanks!
Yup, no SPL (camera+power) means you've bricked it. Replacing the logic board or JTAG is the only way to go.

Hello,
I didn't have any USB connexions anymore on my 32a magic.
In fastboot, no problems.
But with any rom (myhero, GyD, Cyanogen), no USB available !
I don't have the USB mount notification on magic, and have an "unknown usb device" notification on xp.
But the Sd card is ok.
How can I fix it ?
Thanks
Nobody ?
Many Hero owners have this trouble
I checked PID and VID. Both are 0x0000 ! (unknown device)
It sounds like an hardware trouble, but why is it ok in fastboot mode ?
I have exactly the same problem on my 32B... since I bought the phone(second hand), that it has this problem, I have been looking everywhere and I got no answer...
I read somewhere that flashing the SPL could solve the problem, but I haven't tried it.
I flashed to SPL 2010 yesterday... no improvements.

Humm, thats bad news
I have the same problem on my MT3G after the motherboard on my gaming rig blew, the phone just went dark and it also destroyed my usb jump drive that was plugged in next to it. It (usb jump drive) was really hot to the touch when I pulled it out. I smelled something burning from inside the computer, I never did figure out what it was. Now when I plug the phone into my loptop all the phone does is charge, the computer wont see it and neither does the phone ask to mount. The sd card is still good but now I either have to use a card reader or transfer files through bluetooth.
I wiped, formatted, "mount usb" through the recovery, flashed different roms, nothing works. I guess I damaged the circuit board or the usb port somehow. I wanna call Tmo for a warrenty replacement but then Ill have to flash back to the original spl and ROM. I dont really want to go through the rooting process again. Is there a way to find out for sure if it is the software or a hardware issue? Like some kind of test through the terminal?

Humm, that means that we might have something "fried" on our phones
The weird thing is that I can access usb through fastboot... Are you able to use fastboot on your phone?
It really would be interesting if there was any way to check if it really is an hardware problem or software problem.
Has anyone else got a clue on this one?
If we can access USB in fastboot, it sounds like a software problem to me.
But after trying several roms and spl, no changes.
I would try to flash a new SPL, but if I do that I won't be able to put back the original SPL and may not take it back to HTC and repair it under warranty... I will wait about a week or so, put back as it was originally, and send it back to HTC and see if they will repair it.
Game Over for me !
I tried some SPL, but now my sapphire is bricked !
:'(

That's weird, what spl have you used and what was your initial spl? How did you flashed that SPL?
I tested all SPL I think !
But the last i tried sould be 1.33.2004.
Now, phone locked on TIM logo screen, impossible to go into fastboot or recovery, even with unbrick hacks found on the forum
If it gets to the operate logo, I guess that you should be able to get to recovery rom...
Can't you get to hboot mode(volume down + power on) , or to fastboot mode(back + power on)?
Nop !
I tried all combinations: Volume Down + power on, Back + power on, Home + power on.
Same result! Operator Logo
my titan has the incorrect bootloader when I was flashing a new rom and now I am unable to put the phone into bootloader because the camera button is broken. Is there any other ways to put into bootloader, or other ways to install a new bootloader. the phone will start up and then become stuck in splash and there is nothing else I can do.
Anything will help at this point...

Try assigning the camera button to another button. I don't know if this will work.
act like you are going to flash a new rom usig the usb method as soon as it get to the bootloader unplug it and try to flash a new splash screen..........this might work
Have you tried fixing the camera button? because i'm not sure there is a way to get into bootloader with the combo of a non-booting rom & broken hardware buttons. Here's a HTC Kaiser technicians manual in pdf. I realize you own a titan not a kaiser, but they come apart in a very similar way. this is what i used to help me pull apart my titan the first time. sometimes the buttons slip off the contact points on the main board and they just need to be set back into place. I doubt most people own a screwdriver small enough to grab the tiny screws inside these things, so if u are thinking about disassembling your phone consider getting yourself a cheap jewelery toolset from a hardware store that has a phillips screwdriver/bit.
thanks, i will take a look at the manual and let you know how it goes.
I've been using Android NAND for a while with no problems but the other day I struggled getting into bootloader. Eventually (for no obvious reason) it went in and I flashed the shipped rom. I tried bootloader again but no dice. Then I made the fatal error of flashing HSPL again only to get stuck on the O2 screen. I can't get any further.
I can't connect to the pc because it doesn't see anything and I can't get it onto bootloader to flash anything else. I've tried everything I can think of bar JTAG (which is out of my league) and I'm supposed to be sending it back to HTC tomorrow for a repair.
Question is, will HTC see HSPL installed without access to the bootloader and, if they do, will they tell me where to shove it?
..tried searching everywhere before starting a new thread...

How did you flash shipped if you couldn't get into bootloader?
You're doing vol-down and power on right? If you get a splash you should be able to get into bootloader, because SOMETHING is telling your splash to show up.
Try putting the correct shipped on your SD and power up with vol down.
I think they will be able to tell that you modified it.
Thanks for the quick response. I'll try it again with the sd card. The only thing I can think is that the battery died on me almost as soon as I tried the sd card shipped rom. I saw the bootloader for a second and then the phone went off. When I charged it back up, no bootloader...
The problem is I've tried so many things, I'm struggling remembering the exact order of my screw up. I have a feeling after the battery died and I couldn't get it into bootloader, HSPL was working and I flashed the stock rom using USB flash.

Well, I've seen lots of warnings about having your battery greater than 50% while flashing, which (obviously) means that if your device has run out of juice while flashing could lead to unrepairable (by end-user) issues .
Try orangekid's advice and report back.

when flashing from SD, SPL and radio are the first 2 things it flashes afaik, so power out right when you started flashing could be a serious issue.
Hopefully what I said above works though, if your SPL is completely fubar I have no idea what HTC will say, what I would tell them if you try to RMA is you had problems with random reboots and did a hard-reset, then when it started flashing it just turned off for no reason and now it's weird or something like that so they think it was a regular stock hard reset thing and not a "oh **** I have to restore to factory cuz I have HSPL on here" thing.
Ok, so I tried about 10 more times with no joy - at least it's consistently broken now.
Thanks guys, just hoping for an 11th hour rescue. I'll send it off tomorrow and report back the outcome with HTC. I appreciate your help. I knew the lack of charge and flashing via bootloader was going to trip me up one day.
Was HTC able to bring the phone back to its original state or were you able to do something to get the issue fixed? I have the same problem. All I did was to load prj Clean Desire v0.3.2 ROM (this ROM is the same as Cotulla's but with few fixes). This was the first time I ever attempted loading an Android ROM on to my HD2. All looked well initially. The phone was rebooted after ROM was installed. I did intial setup like facebook acct, email, wi-fi, gprs, etc. Then after few hours, the menu button (windows button in HD2) and back button quit working. Even the power button when pressed for few seconds wouldn't bring up the power off and other options. I thought a soft reset would fix it and then I pulled the battery off and restarted. All I now get is the first boot screen with "123456...go.go.go..." and then a white screen with HTC on it. Nothing more. It is stuck there. I tried getting in to bootloader, but I couldn't. Holding down the volume-down and then pressing the power button just restarts the phone as mentioned above and takes me to the HTC screen. Not sure how can I get to the bootloader. Desperately looking for help....
i recently tried to restore my hd2s and i used this program >_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.66.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
to return it to stock it went all the way thru but when i went to turn my phone on nothing shows up at all i now it's now the battery because my computer still recognize my phone when i plug it in i tried holding the volume down and power to see if it would boot into bootloader no luck at all both of my hd2 are tmobile branded and i know i should have read more before just flashing anything. I am going to send my phone away for jtag repair but i wanted to see if any1 could help me first as this happen to both of my hd2s
Yea its bricked, tmous will ONLY take tmous stock roms. Its the radio that kills it, and you picked the correct next course of action,,, JTAG is the only fix, short of replacing the mainboard.
ok thank you do you happen to know a place to get it done cheaply ?

He is the best.
Ok..
A few weeks ago I ''bricked'' my phone when I tried to flash a sbf, hoping to get the phone a higher/better OS than motoBLUR. But it went really wrong, I couldnt start my phone after flashing succesfully.. Later on I kinda came to the conclusion that I flashed the wrong sbf. Since my phone is a me525 and I used a file for mb525. What the result was that my phone turned black and it was showing a white led when charged in the pc. I have searched for quite a while for a sbf. that suits my phone to flash it again. So if there is a kind person who could help me I would be very grateful!
p.s. I'm new into all this developing with OS' and stuff..
Same issue!

Hey..! im on the same problem..cant get my phone to boot up normally ..but the computer still detect the phone even if its black screen well hope we get help..i need my phone back ..
I know just a couples of days ago that you have encountered "soft" or "fake brick": just go to bootloader mode as usual and try flash a new SBF. It is in boot loader, just no screen display.
