Sticky French ROM.

I’m stuck with a minor problem and have spent more than a week trying to fix it. :?
STORY
To replace an O2 3.20 Eng on PCC 2002, I have cooked a French Rom based on 3.16 Qteck and included the freeware I liked, one of them being a freeware named POI (Point Of Interest) to be used with Tom-Tom Navigator.
ORIGINE
My problem is that I think, installing POI on ROM, was a silly choice of me as I cannot save any modified settings of POI such as setting for Speed cameras. :evil:
PROBLEMS
Pb N° 1. : I cannot save my POI settings. I get no really error messages, but all is gone next time I open it. Does any one have a clue?
PB N°2: As I had no clue, I decided to cook a French ROM without POI in it. But I failed to reinstall the newly cooked ROM after downloading the EXE file and running it, my PC opened DOS windows with an error message saying ERROR UNSUPORTED LANGUAGE ‘FRA’ prior to opening the Program A window. Then Program A gives me an Error 007 No Rom Image File … Cannot find ROM image to upgrade you Pocket PC.
PB N° 3: I decided to build an English ROM on 3.20 UK. as it seemed that French language may be the source of PB N°2. But after downloading it and running the exe file on my PC , a DOS windows opens and close then nothing would happened.
PB N°4: I decided to use XDAtools to flash my original XDA ROM (saved in the first place on my PC) back to my XDA, but XDAtools refuses to write to my XDA memory through Program A saying error opening c:\...\English\ for writing Access refused. Error opening the target device. “
I have no idea what XDATools tried to open so I cannot either go that root neither.
I now quite perplex on how to solve question N°1, or at best getting BP N°2 to work.
Any hint :?:

kommst Du ins Recovery? Dann brauchst Du ja keine RUU sondern nimmst das was auf Deiner internen Speicher ist ( ROM ) und spielst es wieder ein oder gar die Backup. LG

MDA II (HTC Himalaya) Disconnection error during flashing.

Greetings developers and enthusiasts!
I was flashing my MDA II (HTC Himalaya) as i did in the past very often. Everything was fine but this time the USB/Disconnection error appeared (Screen shows only Serial/USB & v.1.02). I tried of course the usual steps:
1 - first fully charged battery.
2 - install mobile device center or active sync ( as per your OS )
3 - Enter in to the bootloader mode
4 - connect USB cable with ppc device.
5 - wait for detection of the device
6 - drivers are automatically installed if you are using windows7 it shows
driver installed successfully & device is ready to use.
7 - extract the rom update utility from the posts whichever you like ( remember choose it carefully as per your device )
8 - just double click on upgrade icon in extracted folder and yeah you done.

But I’m not able to flash the device with a new rom anymore. I don´t know what went wrong and why I’m not able to reflash the device.
Windows 7/64 identifies the USB-Device correctly. But the updater (ROM) says there is a connection problem/101.
May be I´m missing something.

I tried another PC with Windows 7/32
Same Problem again with error 101 and device still in bootloader mode.

You must Update (downgrade) your driver for flashing in Win7!!!!
See in my signatur english thread and look in the HowTo section i know it is for Blue Angel but it works

I remember i did an upload of the usb driver back in 2009 during the windows7-BETA but i forgot that step!
It works very fine now due to your nice manual!
This threat should be sticky don´t you think?

Problem with Unlocking WP7

I have problem with my HD2 with WP7.
I unlock it yesterday install few apps and today when I tried to install another
the phone is locked again. But now I can't unlock it !
I am normally connecting the phone through Windows phone developers tools
C:\Program files\Microsoft sdk\windows phone\v7.0\tools\wpconnect\wpconnect
If I click on wpconnect it shows me "LEO70 connection established"
After that I trying to run ChevronWP7.exe and show is this bloody error message:
"Sorry, Im having trouble communicating with the phone
-Please make sure it's conencted using USB
-please start the Zune application
I also did Zune USB registry hack and I hope that this change doesnt have impact on it, right ?
I installed aslo the certificate and also Windows Phone Developer Tools RTW,
delete all lines that contain developers.microsoft.com in Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc \ hosts (open with notepad),
no skype still no success !!
Please help.

Why don´t you try to flash one of the custom ROMs which come with all the Chevron jailbreak solution cooked it?
This way, I got rid of nasty re-locking issues...

OK, and wich unlocked ROM do you suggest me ?

I only ran the original "Leo70" (which does not include the jailbreak), then the "moonlight" ROM, and finally the latest version here (I do like the tweaks and mods).
Since flashing is fast and easy, you´ll definitely make your own trials, trust me! And maybe there soon will be a ROM with your language, yesterday I´ve seen Polish for the first time!

Please note that English is the forum language here.
And yes, the ROM is good, but that´s my personal opinion.
Maybe you find another one which you like better.

I don't realy care about language

yeah but the bad part is you will loose any of data on your sd because you need to format again to be compatible with windows phone 7..... last time I've installed the rom it was hard to make my sd to work so now I don't want to try anymore

[Q] HD2_Updatable_XBmod_Yuki_v2_native question

I am gonna use HD2_Updatable_XBmod_Yuki_v2_native rom but before it could anyone can tell me if this rom can install the soft after it is flashed?I mean if I want to install any soft should I do any other step?And can this rom charging when the sreen is off?

They say you should be able to sideloade XAP files with TOM's XAP explorer.
You should be able to get marked working to, so can't see why you shouldn't be able to install your software.
Yes the phone charges when the screen is of.

i guess he more likely meant !!

the answer as of now is NO !!
because MAGLDR doesnt allow this...hopefully we will have a magldr version soon which fixes this problem !

Sync Issues
Im using the HD2_Updatable_XBmod_Yuki_v2_native, after I connect my HD2 to my computer Zune will only sync it as Guest, Ive tried re-syncing but it wont change sync relations. Any helpful tips?

Have you tried in Zune settings/phone/sync options and look under device options, there should be a third option.

[Q] Update windows7 7592 to latest rom on HD2?

Hello people!
I've been working with windows 7 7592 on my HTC HD2 for some time now and i really want to keep windows 7. I can't seem to find a way to update from 7592 to 7720, does anyone know of any ?

you'll have to download first the wanted update cab from xbosmod/sylvester's page and send it to your phone with the help of update cab sender from the same guys

which ROM you have? author (which cooker not version)
only Yuki ROM can update with CAB files.... for other ROM's you must flashing from beginning

Hmm, all i see here is OS Version: 7592.WM7_Main(mojobld).20110308-1514.

I installed windows 7 on my htc hd2 some time ago, i think it was the first Mango release, 7592. Any way i can find out who cooked that specific rom i used so i can update ?

did you can send CAB files to phone? if you can, this is Yuki (BTTF) ROM.... but maybe is better to try change to other ROM.... only one warning... if your ROM is Yuki, then your sdcard is locked... you must first unlock it with sending unlock CAB file to phone and then format it before install new ROM....

I could send cab files through a Microsoft developer tool, and my sdcard is not locked.

Why is everything so complicated!!
Ok my friend, i allready have Magldr v1.13 and windows 7592.
On your tutorial you write:
- when you turn on phone press and hold power button to boot direct to MAGLDR:
* go to 5. USB Flasher and run ENG_DWI.exe to flash ROM (or TR_DWI.exe. ENG is installer in English, TR is Turkish)
- after flashing process done, and when show Main screen with Tiles, do hard reset (Settings - About - reset my phone)
- you are done... ignore next steps
Got two questions on that.
I downloaded 3_HD2_Pdaimatejam_Rom_Wp7.5_mango_7.10.8107.79_v7.3.rar but there's no ENG_DWI.exe in the file..
How does it install windows 7 8107 just by hard resetting ?
I feel like a pain in the neck, sorry for that, if things get more complicated i'll try to find another way or just stay with 7592.

I flashed sdcard, went to usb mode but DWI.exe wont regognise the usb connection..

one time file is named ENG_DWI.exe.... totally not important how is named, DWI.exe or ENG_DWI.exe.. is same file..
did in USB mode in MAGLDR recognize USB?

Dude.. I've had this phone for what.. 3 years now?
It still feels new!
Everything works.. marketplace works, speech works, everything.
Only thing there is no alphabet with the apps, but that's fine, i'm sure i'll find something somewhere.
