What is the best rom that I could used that also has the best battery life?
As long as you're on stock kernel you'll have great battery, [obviously depending on what kind of widgets and setting you are on] And I hear that you don't want wifi calling either as it is a cpu hog.
I'm on Onyx R4.2 with stock kernel and I love it. I plan to stick with it until Gingerbread comes out. Hope that helps.

Get amazing battery life with my current setup (see sig)
jk6 if you want stock.
Axura 2.1 (last axura i've tried) got EXCELLENT battery life (30 hours with moderate use)

yeah jk6 has outstanding battery life compared to any other rom that i have used.
Nero beta 3... best battery, fast, very stable.
Im running Axura 2.1 and my battery life is about the same as it was on Eclair, which is decent, but nothing great. And im running the stock kernal and JK6.

I don't care for all the flashy things, I just want something that's pretty fast and won't feel sluggish after a week.
check out HTCClay's SuperFast.
Probably the most simple and stable Donut-based rom out right now, its my daily-use rom.

I agree Dwang is fast and stable and not flashy at all. SuperFast is fast but its very flashy.
IMO Cyanogen's mods have always been the fastest and most stable. I flashed a lot of roms on my G1 but I always kept coming back till I realized it was exactly what I needed. Stuck with it since. Even the new eclair build is very fast and most of the bugs have been sorted out. However it's still a test build so it's up to you! Good Luck!

I'd say the same based on my experiences

I'm trying out the ZX sense based builds - I must say that HTC really helped the platform as I like these apps more than the stock ones!

superfast without a doubt is the overall best donut rom and while it is flashy its done very tastfully and is a very appealing rom
will it make difference?
I just finished my titanium restore, but it's smooth so far.
A lot of nice little touches. And Quadrant says 1193 so that ain't bad.

Good god, yes, this is a terrific combination. Buttery smooth.
As for varying Quadrant scores, I find that if I kill all user apps right before running the benchmark, I'll hit in the 1200 range. Otherwise I'm only around 1000. Doesn't matter either way though, because it's silky smooth either way. I haven't even bothered with a lagfix because I don't think it's necessary. I noticed that TW tweaked the mounts so that even though it's still RFS, it's considerably faster than stock JK2 or JK6. Eugene's kernel is also the bomb and I've seen great battery and stability.
I've been waiting for a while for a Froyo build that approximates my reference setup on Eclair, which was the final Fusion w/ OC/UV (1.2ghz) with z4mod. That is the benchmark for me, and I think I've finally found it's equal in Froyo. Very happy with my Vibrant right now.
I completely agree this is the first froyo rom that matches that speed and stability I had with fusion oc'ed lag fixed.

Hey guys. I'm looking for feedback since I'm STILL a Hero user and idk what you guys have been up to I'll likely root g/f's Epic after she decides to keep it and I was wondering what's everyone's favorite ROM to use and what should I be looking to do with this thing to help make it better? Thx
I like bonsai rom v1.1.4 on the dk28 froyo leak. To speed the phone up if you decide to flash the froyo leak is to change the filing system from Rfs to ext4 and then disable journaling. That is my setup and it's very snappy and fast. But this is only available if you use the dk28 rom. Have fun flashing
I was running Bonsai w/ext4 for a while and it was good but I went back to 2.1 and I'm really happy. 3D games don't play very well on dk28 roms (especially Dungeon Defenders), and gaming is one of the reasons I went with a Galaxy S. Plus I've been getting really good battery life with Syndicate and Phoenix kernel and its really fast. GPS worked 100% on DK28, and strangely enough 100% on 2.1...
Your best bet is to try a couple before you get commited to one...All of them are stable, and Ive tested all but 2 of the newer ROMs.

We've had numerous "best ROM" / "which rom" threads, and they always turn out the same way. No one rom is the best, but one may fit your needs more than others.
Please search before making a new thread. There are numerous threads discussing this same topic.

i think i have a problem.
i can only get a max of 1800 points in quadrant standard with revolution hd rom and setcpu with autodemand 245-1228.
why is this happening? i've done a factory default and the same.
Don't pay attention to these benchmarks... they tell you nothing. And noting wrong with that score, it's high enough, upgrading to ARHD 3.x might help.
If you are dumb enough to rate a phones performance on such bad benchmarks then..
Turn setCPU to performance
Restart your phone and kill all apps with task killer
Turn off sync/wifi
and update your rom maybe..
AR 2.0.11? AR 3.3 is already out...
quadrant scored really doesn't say a lot for the ROMS. you may have high 2000s scores but your battery lasts only have a day.. doesn't really means a thing
For me it was difficult to get consistent results with Quadrant.
Upgrading the app changed results dramatically.
You can run a benchmark now, and again in 5 minutes time and the results can be way different.
It was great at first but frustrating after a while.
For example: (on stock rom)
Original (2053)

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then I updated the app (1773)
Then 12 minutes later (1813)
Obviously many factors are involved but as Foladko and Baste07 suggest - I wouldn't pay too much attention. It's not as cut and dry as for example overclocking a desktop PC.
I have a huge problem with battery life on my G2. Everything started after playing with Kitkat custom roms and kernels.. With every single combinations (rom + kernel) I always have battery life problem. Yesterday I decided to go back to JB and see how it will works, but.. I have same issue on it.. I am using my phone for 19 hours and 2.19h on screen and 27% of battery left. What can I do to deal with this problem?
Also curious...
Few screenshoots from wakelock detector.

Here's an idea: Uninstall all that crap and test again.
Also, post English screenshot if you want help. This isn't a ->Insert your weird language here<- forum.
I'd clean reinstall a new ROM (I'm on cloudy G3 with native kernel) and just use Clean Master to help boost battery life. Mine is very good so far. Around 5 hrs of SOT and almost 3 days of standby.
To the OP,
Are you restarting your phone in either silent or vibrate? That's what caused my 1013 wakelock in the past. I always reboot without vibrate/silent on now, and have not seen this issue.
Secondly, game playing will use a lot more battery than normal. It heats up the phone and works the GPU/CPU. For example, my battery only lasts 3.5 hours with Ingress playing.
Third, looks like you have some Android OS wake locks. Do you have Google now/location settings on and reporting?
