I have a huge problem with battery life on my G2. Everything started after playing with Kitkat custom roms and kernels.. With every single combinations (rom + kernel) I always have battery life problem. Yesterday I decided to go back to JB and see how it will works, but.. I have same issue on it.. I am using my phone for 19 hours and 2.19h on screen and 27% of battery left. What can I do to deal with this problem?
Also curious...
Few screenshoots from wakelock detector.

Here's an idea: Uninstall all that crap and test again.
Also, post English screenshot if you want help. This isn't a ->Insert your weird language here<- forum.
I'd clean reinstall a new ROM (I'm on cloudy G3 with native kernel) and just use Clean Master to help boost battery life. Mine is very good so far. Around 5 hrs of SOT and almost 3 days of standby.
To the OP,
Are you restarting your phone in either silent or vibrate? That's what caused my 1013 wakelock in the past. I always reboot without vibrate/silent on now, and have not seen this issue.
Secondly, game playing will use a lot more battery than normal. It heats up the phone and works the GPU/CPU. For example, my battery only lasts 3.5 hours with Ingress playing.
Third, looks like you have some Android OS wake locks. Do you have Google now/location settings on and reporting?

Um...is this normal?

Hadn't really noticed a huge drain though.
Edit: I'm running DCv1.
Just checked mine. I'm at 88% display and 12% cell standby. Running Darchtrev v2.
Using DC v1
Cell Standby 70%
Phone Idle 20%
Display 8%
Android System 2%
im right there with you ajones. anybody have ideas as to why this is? i havent really seen a difference in battery life though. could just be a glitch.
Did you guys open the camera before you checked?
no. its been like that for a while. last time i used the camera was last night.
Not right before... I did use my camera today though.
I don't like telling people this because you can get in trouble by closing the wrong thing but... try a task killer and make sure the camera is completely closed.
Many Roms come with Astro of ES File Manager and those have a task viewer/killer built in.
i tried that. didnt see the camera as one of the running processes.
Maybe its an app running like goggles or barcode.
just checked. only thing that i could think of to have a hold on the camera is handcent and the messaging app. closed those. ill see what happens
*update*
so that didnt do anything. still reading at 93%. anybody have any ideas or are we just out of luck?

From the history it looks like the screen is on all the time...? If you're using the phone non-stop it won't last more than 4 hours.
Otherwise, usually the problem is due to something keeping the phone awake and probably also using CPU. A restart should temporarily fix it. Post the Battery screen (not the history) as a first troubleshooting step.
You don't have any problem at all. You use your phone, so the battery goes empty. That's normal....
Hello everybody,
I've looked everywhere on the web for an explanation of what has been happening since long time ... but I have not found anything.
Why I find into processes that "suck up" battery always "Multimedia" on top level?
I do not understand what could depend on .... moreover the percentage increases more and more during the days.

In the second picture there are 3 packages inside. I exclude the first two because I'm not downloading anything but I think it may depend on "Archivio multimediale".

I have a 32 GB MicroSD with stored music, videos and photos (many) but I thought that once phone start and it runs "multimedia scan" in background should no longer affect the battery consumption after it will be finished.
Please give me an explanation.
Thank you!
I woke up this morning to the same exact problem.
My phone went from fully charged down to 15% while I was sleeping in a little extra. 3 hours and it was dead.
Since then I have installed a few items. Particularly the Apollo app that CM makes you use.
The multi media crap has so far stopped.

EXTREME battery drain! On CM 12.1 Temasek V17.3. Help pls?
Hello!
I tried to ask about my problem in the original post of Cm12.1 but I can not write for lack of privileges yet, so I'm here to see if someone can help me.
Yesterday I installed cm12.1 (temasek) on Note 3 , install WhatsApp, Clash of Clans and little else (no facebook, twitter , etc ) . When I went to sleep had 100% battery and when I got up my surprise was that it had 67% of battery! This had never happened to me on Lollipop Stock, normally around 4-5% on all night.

I don't know what drained battery...
More that 8h was the phone in deep sleep and battery drainned so much. Any help, tips or something? Thanks!
PD: Using CM12.1 v17.3 Temasek, just intalled without changes.
Sorry! Pic's upload failed. Fixed.
Some idea someone? I dont wanna go back Samsung Stock! Thanks!
change kernel to tweakable ones like Audax, Arter97 or Shinto and tweak via Synapse for example ; tweak cpu and gpu voltages and frequencies to find your good compromise between performance and battery drain . I did that for my Aryamod 7.3 draining battery, now it's fine
Not even a single procent is lost here.
Do use temaseks settings. See first post over there.
And use better battery stats app or similar.
Hey everyone,
my Note 4's battery (SM-N910F) is draining really fast. I bought 3 new batteries (1 samsung from their site and 2 rav power) and my battery still only holds for like 3 to 4 hours (instead of the whole day as before).
Can you help me figure out a fix?
Thanks !
Android 6.0.1 is running.
Version number MMB29M.N010FFXXU1DQL2.
Baseband N910FXXS1DQA1
3 -4 hours when using it? That is great. However, if standby is affected then you need to see what is running in the background and affecting the battery. Use BetterBatteryStats and or Gsm Battery monitor

no, 3-4 hours when almost not using it ! Before, the battery was lasting all my work day. Now at lunch, it's done.
I installed Gsm battery monitor, here's what I get:

Do a search on android system battery drain and try some of the fixes. Something is running causing the drain. Google or other backup or something constantly syncing etc.
Finally, I did a full factory reset and now the battery is back to normal!
