[VIDEO] Useless Hands on Video with Nexus 6

Enjoy
No point in you commenting "What the (Mod Edit: Wow I can make a thread but not read the rules) is the point of this*
You'll just be wasting your time
I actually have a good question. What screen protector is that? Glass I assume. And looks to be zero halo effect. Looks like a good fit.

Full metal unibody?

Hey all
Just came across this video by Jerryrigeverything. He's the same guy who started the whole bendgate with our nexus 6p's
While tearing down one of the gold nexus 6Ps he makes the point that the phone is not fully metal which is stated as such on the Google website for the phone
Video link https://youtu.be/VVIGJCAx-I8
What do you think?
Does it prove that Nexus 6P has a weak build?
I would say Google started bendgate by building weak phones.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
It the phone was 100% fully metal the radio signals would be screwed(ie first all metal Iphone). The video again proves nothing but the guys does not like the 6P. I got mine the first of November and I have no issues. You treat any phone badly and it will break.
lots of people seen Jerryrigeverything video's. we seen inside and outside the phone
you do research before buying the phone? you seen picture's on forum near power button etc.
some are happy and some are not. is this ever going to finish? Nexus 2016 phone comes out then we will find faults in that to. its never ending.
For a sense of scale of those reporting flaws in the 6p, let's say 0.3% of all android devices run marshmallow, namely the 5x and 6p.
Just guessing here, but let's also say for those 3 million devices, 2 are 6p. In the xda forums we have what, maybe 50 unique users having the bend issue, no doubt rightfully cross posting their annoyance with their experience. That figure is undoubtedly higher, and those with the fault probably don't post anywhere and just get a replacement device and move on.
But if 50 on xda have the bend issue, for a sense of perspective, the other 1,999,950 6p customers are happy with their devices.

Move along.... Nothing to see here.
It is fully metal. It is not false advertising.
You need some cutouts for radio signals.
You cannot build an "all metal" phone.
Put a transmitter and receiver in a Faraday cage and see what happens.
I'm happy with my phone.
Excellent tear down video

Reviews

Are out and it's clear Google absolutely smashed it out of the park with pixel and pixel XL
Here's a great round up of reviews so far

USA Today also giving it a rave review:

I am so happy that this phone appeals to the mainstream.
This is what Android needed IMO.
Flossy Carter needs to get his hands on this thing.
Just fluff BS reviews so far.

Wired says it's the best phone ever:

Gizmodo was clearly pissed when writing this:

The gizmodo one is funny. More of an op ed piece than review. Most reviews don't go on for a paragraph on how 'ugly' they think the phone is.
But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Michael Fisher seems to be giving it a mixed review on Twitter.
NY Times gave it a poor review today. Complained that it is slow with a poor camera. It appears written by a clear iPhone fan boy.

I love Gizmodo, but this review is kinda dubious. He states the phone is wider and taller than theNexus 6P. To me, it sounds like he's justifying why you don't need to upgrade from the 6P to the Pixel (which you don't)

I'm ok with him not liking or recommending it - that is his opinion after all.
But the way he wrote the article and it's tone was pretty amateur/immature if you ask me. Not what I would call professional journalism.
Although I like gizmodo in general, I'll be avoiding his future articles.

It's not taller or wider. He also mentions he doesn't like the feel of the plastic on the back. What plastic?

loved Wired guy's review:
"But I’m switching. For real. I’m turning off iMessage, re-buying apps, and warning friends that I probably won’t get their texts for a few days. I am a little worried about Google’s long-term commitment to this new hardware push (and the customer support that comes with it), given its propensity for killing products that don’t get billions of users. But I’m totally in love with the Pixel. I love this camera, I love Google Assistant, I love that I’ll get to use it with a comfy VR headset, I love that I finally get a version of Android that is both powerful and attractive. I love that there’s a kickass Android phone that (probably) doesn’t explode.
The immediate joke everyone, including me, made on Twitter after the Pixel launch was that Google made an iPhone. Well, that’s true. As it turns out, an iPhone running Android is exactly what I’ve been waiting for."

I have seen that it is glass as well, but a few reviews(Android Central specifically) have stated that it scratches really easily which leads me to believe its not GG4 if glass at all.
