Any Samsung Galaxy variant (excluding Captivate) has GSM 850MHz UMTS 3G Band? - Galaxy S I9000 General

Is there any Samsung Galaxy variant (excluding Captivate) has GSM 850MHz UMTS 3G Band?

Up until the internal memory dies, anyway.

Does the problem affect other Galaxy?
If not, how come only Bell's Galaxy's were affected?

I found one on eBay Australia a day or two ago, finishing today and it's about A$350 at the moment, can go for under A$450 quite often. But if you don't want to get it off eBay, Telstra have it outright (the 850 version) for A$960 outright (not recommended) or you could find it (850/NextG version) online at places such as MobiCity (also Australian) for A$729 outright.
Hope that helps, that's all I know from living here in Australia

the new batches of SGS Bell i9000m seems to not have the internal SD problem
only the original batch from launch time.
if anyone needs help purchasing a brand new original I9000M from a Bell store, just let me know via PM

The canadian telus fascinate uses is compatible on att, the us fascinate isn't.

htc inspire 4G (3G doesn't catch in Russia)

Hello! Help, please! I from Russia.
Has bought phone htc inspire 4G in the USA.
Ranges don't coincide with ours and 3G doesn't catch.
WCDMA/HSPA (850/1900 MHz) - the USA and (900/2100 MHz) - Russia.
It is possible to make so that in Russia has earned 3G???
Thanks in advance!
Probably not.
You won't get 3g. Frequencies are different

It doesn't work, the phone is built to use only those frequencies.
And, if, for example, I the inhabitant of the USA. I have decided to go to other country with such phone and it is necessary for me vital 3G. Also it appears that it doesn't work. After all it is wrong??

Why not just get a Desire HD? It's the same phone and probably has the right bands for your country since it's sold everywhere outside the US.

It's not strange. Different countries have different frequencies. See if you can trade with someone in the US for a Desire HD since it has
HSPA+.

Thanks for the help to all!
Not to create one more theme, has decided to ask here...
Prompt, how many the built in memory in htc inspire 4g??? (At me only shows that is free 1GB)
And still....
There was no way to force to work 3G in Russia?
The inspire has 4gb internal, though only 1gb is available for apps.
And nope their is no way to make the inspire compatible with Russia's 3g frequencies. Your best bet is selling the inspire and getting desire hd

Please let me.know if u get any solution.
Nonsense can I will ask....

Same [email protected]%#$t in Belarus...
Please search before opening a new thread. This has been covered hundreds of times over the years.
The hardware Antenna is designed to only work on ATT 3g bands, no amount of programing can fix this. You would have to change the hardware.
A Search would have shown you this.

It does not have AWS bands. It is not a repackaged Hercules. It's a repackaged ATT SGH-i717, with the same bands. It will be the SGH-i717D.
Telus doesn't use AWS, they just happened to get a T-Mobile "leftover" once, with the SGS 2X.
As for when it'll be here, within 30 days since it has a "coming soon" page already.
that sucks! I was hoping it would have the 1700 on it. I really want to try the note, guess I'll wait for s3.

Is it confirmed that NTT Docomo version is pentaband too? (HSPA 850/900/1700/1900/2100) Or is there an error in Negri Electronics specifications? (Not that it would surprise me)

Negri is good at updating the spec or providing right info. I got the info from their twitter feed. I think it's best to call and confirm before buying. My guess is it is pentaband even for the NTT Docomo version.
Two things to point out about the docomo version
1 - Permanent root does not work.
2 - it has the docomo logo.

Not sure about the them being good with the info, I sent them a couple of errors that they never fixed in their page, right now I remember pointing them that they were using pictures of Optimus Black in the Optimus 2X page and they told me "the only difference is the back cover" and so far they never fixed it(https://negrielectronics.com/lg-p990h-optimus-2x-speed-black-unlocked.html), so don't trust them that much
In any case thanks for the info, I'm more interested in maybe getting it cheaper via other channels if the phone is pentaband, but I need to confirm this because http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=3348&c=samsung_galaxy_nexus_sc-04d_samsung_prime states "UMTS800 (B6), UMTS2100 (B1)" only.
You can get it much cheaper from amazon.co.jp and yahoo japan auctions.
Just use one of those services nerds use to buy video games and anime from Japan.

I surely hope not. FWIW, this says the model number is "SC-04D" whereas dailysteals says "i9250" (and I haven't seen any variant of the i9250 yet). Also, the fact that there was a white version strongly indicates it's the i9250 (unless there is also a white version of the docomo model).
I guess there is only one way to find out

HSPA+ on GT-N7000. T-Mobile refarming?

It may be a miracle. I was using the International Samsung Galaxy Note and was only receiving edge on T-Mobile. I learned why this was and hoped it would change. About three nights ago exactly I was trying to use my data which was edge which did not work at all. I was not sure why. Then the following night I was at a dinner party in Cougar Mountain Drive which is in the Bellevue area. All of a sudden I turned on my data and guess what I saw. A big H+ staring me back in the face. I was so overjoyed I could not even begin to explain. But alas, I could not longer see the H+ when I returned home in the Seattle Area. Is T-Mobile finally refarming? We can all hope can't we? What do you guys think?
Probably Tmo rolling out 4G in select areas.

That's awesome advice....not. Are you trying to get him to brick his phone?
This is an N7000.
T-Mobile has been working on standing up the 1900 frequency, which is the same band AT&T uses, and the band included in all international phones. They have been using AWS which is the 1700 band. This is why all new-ish T-mobile phones are pentaband. You must have been in an area that they already converted over. It is supposed to be complete sometime in 2013.
I have a similar story. While visiting in Concord, CA. Downtown where the Old Spaghetti Factory is: I was able to get HSPA+ on my Infuse i997. Looking forward to the refarm taking place all over the usual spots.

I understand that T-mobile has re-farmed 1900 MHz for 3G service in the Boston, MA area.
Is this service available to T-Mobile pre-paid PAYG customers? On the $3/day plan?
Is there any requirement for a GBA SIM? Or any newer SIM?
Are there any specialized APN settings?
Any specialized phone settings? "Force" WCDMA 1900 MHz only from the Service Menu?
I have an international un-locked Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100), and a 7 year old T-Mobile pre-paid SIM.
I have been able to use GSM data (2G: GPRS/EDGE) as recently as July, 2012.
My visits are brief so I use the $2/day plan but would like to be able to use 3G.
current reports,
no specific deals with TMO regarding network sharing,
i'd doubt AT&T will lend the networks without a fair price

[Q] Will Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Work In the UK ?!

I am a UK resident and I wish to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It's quite expensive in the UK although I was wondering if I bought it from the US, due to the currency conversion rate, it'll come out cheaper (I've previously bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) from the US and the overall cost still came out cheaper if had I bought it from here)
My main concern is that will the phone still work here in the UK I.e will I still be able to get calls and will my existing sim card still work (I have no problem with getting it unlocked) ?! I was asking because of the different carriers and antennas and what not. I am not a person uses LTE as my current tariff doesn't support it so I have no problem with that being like the deciding factor. I'm currently on the 3 carrier in the UK. Thank You
If puchased outside the uk your waranty won't be valid in the UK

Don't H3G use different frequencies? I know H3G phones were a pain in the butt a while ago due to their oddball requirements, but I would imagine flashing the H3G btu firmware would resolve any "issues" as it would include their modem.
Am I barking up the wrong tree here?
As long as you don't buy it locked to verizon, sprint or at&t then it will work fine, because those networks are cdma I believe. And as the UK doesn't have any cdma networks, only gsm, the device won't work.

Att is not cdma.
Yes, the ATT note will work on 3G and 3G+ networks for your carrier in the UK. 3 has no GSM (2G) and only uses the 3G 2100 band. The ATT note 3 has the following 3G bands: 850/1900/2100MHz

There are threads on here about region lock. You have to insert the 'territory' correct sim card for 3-5 mins and then lock will be removed. ou can get it removed by ringing Samsung or you can root and remove it that way.
PS... It would appear that you didn't get a clear answer on Android Central Either!

To the op, if you are not fussed about the LTE, then Note 3 from ATT or T-mobile will work on 3G in the UK. As mentioned previously, do not buy from Verizon, Virgin, etc as they are CDMA phones and will not work in UK.
Another option is to buy from amazon USA if you are currently in the US. Get the International version.

Put serious value on the warranty on a Note3 .. its not quite such a bullet proof phone as a note 2.
Also I got one here in UK at a great price just a week after launch by getting it on Voda contract then unlocking it for EE use. There must be some cheap deals in UK now surely.
