According to the Samsung HK official site, the HK version will not have LTE.

Just so you know, Citylink gets them imported so they're not official Samsung releases for HK. I am not sure why Wilson has them before everybody else (not Fortress, not Broadway and none of the carriers), and I have a feeling they're imported as well although they "deny" that.

quad core is exclusive to the Int. S3 variant. The AT&T off-contract will be the exact duo core/2gb RAM phone that they offer minus the contract.

The video that got posted today makes it look like a Gunmetal grey and only at certain angles can you see the underlying blue so I will be sticking with white .

God, I just hope it's not locked down like the One X was. Hopefully, some tech sites will get a pre-release a few days before the official release, and make sure, that way I can still go out and get one the first day.

Don't know about T-mobile working on AT&T's LTE????
16gb isn't that big of a deal, as long as you can add micro SD.

Yea I bought a 32gb from my friend when he switched from the TB to the iPhone . So a 16 ain't that bad .

The site states only the 16gb microSD card would work. I wonder if there will be any issues with using a 32gb microSD...

getting the phone unlocked has nothing to do with the bands being capable of running LTE. Tmobile version will most likely only work on EDGE ATT and NOT LTE or H+ for that matter.

Currently in a chat with a ATT rep, if anyone has questions I'll try to get them answered. So far I have asked about release date, when the red variant would be available, and if you preorder online if you will receive it on release day.

anyone find a time when the pre-orders will be available online? I may go to my local store when they open tomorrow but not sure if online pre-orders will hit first.

How I bricked my phone is a few days

Rooting the phone was pretty strait forward.
Until I tried to flash an omega rom for i9300.
I thought since the recovery and boot partition are separate hard bricking the phone is near impossible.
it is very possible.
sent it to mobile tech videos for a JTAG repair.
It just arrived today ill keep you guys posted.

It's for i9300 for a reason the phones are completely different they really just look the same.

jtag repair was sucessful but lte coverage was not working after.
may have to get att to replace.

I'd guess he failed to pay attention to his phone model and the intended phone model for the ROM.

To be fair, it doesn't help that they're all called "Galaxy S III" while having very different internals. It does make accessories and stuff a lot better though.

The title of the forum is Galaxy S III I9300, and the US forums has ATT and all the other carriers in the title. I think they should just rename it to International Galaxy S III I9300

I think if you are rooting and flashing ROMs to your phone, you should at least know the model number like how the Sprint GSIII is SPH-L710.

I still don't get the "international" label we put on phones. The US version is the only one that's different. If anything, there should be a "standard" version and a "US" version.

And Korean and Japanese and Canadian and.... G and... P...

Galaxy Note 2 short hands-on

Hey there,
I just thought I would share this with you people. I work for a carrier (don't even bother asking which one ) and we received our test unit today!!! It's the grey version and it looks totally awesome. The screen real-estate is just outta this world. I put it side to side with my S3 and looking at them, I became a bit pissed at my purchase as when the Note 2 was announced, I had thought that we would never carry it (ok, I've already said enough)!
I'm sorry I can' really say much but I had it in my hands for about 5 mins...! It was a 16gb model. I witnessed popup s note, popup browser (NICE), the new menu when you pull the pen out...oh yeah and this thing is FAST!
I have no idea about the release date (they wouldn't tell us), although I find it a bit strange that we are receiving a unit so soon. I've read on several sites that it would be next November...!

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you work for.....sprint or at&t but I'm not sure which one

Nothing is ever certain in this world...
I didn't actually have enough time with it (5mins) to notice any potential bugs (and mind you, we only received the phone today). I can ask my colleague who's in charge of the device though to see if he notices anything odd.

I do have that info. It seems that even my employer is announcing it on its website so the info is already in the public domain. So here goes: SGH-T889V.
You won't find much when googleing that, except for a reference related to Samsung's Smartview app.

I am a UK resident and I wish to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It's quite expensive in the UK although I was wondering if I bought it from the US, due to the currency conversion rate, it'll come out cheaper (I've previously bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) from the US and the overall cost still came out cheaper if had I bought it from here)
My main concern is that will the phone still work here in the UK I.e will I still be able to get calls and will my existing sim card still work (I have no problem with getting it unlocked) ?! I was asking because of the different carriers and antennas and what not. I am not a person uses LTE as my current tariff doesn't support it so I have no problem with that being like the deciding factor. I'm currently on the 3 carrier in the UK. Thank You

I'm not fussed with warranty as I tend to take care of my devices plus if it allows me to get it cheaper, Im happy

Bought my n9005 on amazon.co.uk from amazon directly, not any third party sellers. Got the european model, was a decent price too.

Don't H3G use different frequencies? I know H3G phones were a pain in the butt a while ago due to their oddball requirements, but I would imagine flashing the H3G btu firmware would resolve any "issues" as it would include their modem.
Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

As long as you don't buy it locked to verizon, sprint or at&t then it will work fine, because those networks are cdma I believe. And as the UK doesn't have any cdma networks, only gsm, the device won't work.

Att is not cdma.
Yes, the ATT note will work on 3G and 3G+ networks for your carrier in the UK. 3 has no GSM (2G) and only uses the 3G 2100 band. The ATT note 3 has the following 3G bands: 850/1900/2100MHz

Except for 3. Like in Canada with Bell and Telus. They have no 2G but Rogers does.

There are threads on here about region lock. You have to insert the 'territory' correct sim card for 3-5 mins and then lock will be removed. ou can get it removed by ringing Samsung or you can root and remove it that way.
PS... It would appear that you didn't get a clear answer on Android Central Either!

To the op, if you are not fussed about the LTE, then Note 3 from ATT or T-mobile will work on 3G in the UK. As mentioned previously, do not buy from Verizon, Virgin, etc as they are CDMA phones and will not work in UK.
Another option is to buy from amazon USA if you are currently in the US. Get the International version.

You must be in USA because you need to use an American Sim card first so that the region lock will be removed but I could be wrong. Whereanouts are you in UK? For maybe 50 quid worth, I would just buy feom UK. Its not worth the gamble and hassle for me

Put serious value on the warranty on a Note3 .. its not quite such a bullet proof phone as a note 2.
Also I got one here in UK at a great price just a week after launch by getting it on Voda contract then unlocking it for EE use. There must be some cheap deals in UK now surely.

I'll give it some good thought although I can't seem to find any good deals and I'm not exactly the wealthiest person so I'I'll take any cheap option can get, I'm already on a SIM only contact so I just want to purchase the phone by itself
