hii all
when i press menu and Ringtone to change it
there is an error
" The Application Sound Set (process com.htc.sdm) has stopped unexpectedly . please try again . "
and there is no answer
how can i fix that
any takers on this? I have this problem as well.
Are you both using the Stock HTC ROM? Rooted? S-OFF?
Have you removed any apps with Titanium Backup?
Bugger I've just started getting this exact problem this morning. Have tried removing so many apps, restarting, etc...oh well guess I'll be doing a device reset to the default firmware.

I have not tried to do a factory reset because it is very annoying .. (Not sure it works)

Go to Setting it in settings > personalize > personalize sound > ringtone
it's work it with me ....
I also tried personalize > ringtones but got the same error message. Then I tried personalize > sound set and selected HTC Default 2010 and hit apply. Went back to ringtones and all is fine... hope this works for you!

When I tried that, there are no options for sound sets. It's blank.
I tried to click on "get more" and it crashed again.
Any other ideas anyone?

I try to flash rom 2-3 times, but still makes the same problem
what CAB file you are installing? maybe the CAB file youre trying to install is not compatible for your device...
I tried to install Skype 3.0 And SKTools, but on the old ROM and original running perfect, now even on original rom makes this problem (I tried with original ROM, but again without success)
P.S. How I can restore all setings to default (Registry,plug-ing,files and everything) as when i bought it

- To restore to factory settings Go To Settings/System/Clear Storage input 1234 and tap OK... this will return all youre system settings to factory defaults (WARNING) this is like HARD RESET!
I tried with "Clear Storage" option, but again without success

Try to hard reset your device this will restore everything back to standard
Hold camera and comms button press reset with your stylus keep holding buttons untill message appears on screen then release both buttons and press green send key
A message should appear saying formatting and your device will reset you will go through the set up like a newly flashed rom ie,, calibrate screen ect..
Or you can look on wiki for more
Also i see that you are having trouble installing those cab files you must make sure that the version you are trying to install is both compatible with your device and compatible with your windows mobile version
I fix the problem
Windows Vista makes me this problem, i tried to install .cab files on XP and everything works perfect

I don't know about Windows Mobile but I had almost the same problem on Android, maybe this explanation can help you and you can look for your own solution then on the Windows Mobile side.

I've just updated my T-mobile HD2 to 3.14 firmware. I've noticed lots of the settings are gone, e.g i cant get into the USB to PC Options. I can't disable HTC Sense as before I was able to find an option to remove sense.
Have they deliberately removed heaps of options from the settings menu or is there a problem? Is there anyway to get these settings back?

IMO you should flash an older version of ROM in order to get back those settings the way you want to...

First of all thanks for this great ROM, i have one problem with it is, I can't change the OEM marketplace with MarketPlace config.
When I change it or try to restore the default values, I have an error message in the market place saying there is no results... do you have any idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Still no luck, I have the right Marketplace configured in the marketplace but when I open it, I still have no result...
Any idea on where should I start to look to troubleshoot the problem?

I restarted the phone after each modification...
Do you know how to change it by hand?

Things looks right on my phone...
If I start from the beginning,
I update my phone's rom with vanilla -> format everything -> configure my live account -> install bazaar -> install marketplace config -> give root to marketplace config -> change OEM marketplace -> turn off / turn on.
Am I missing a step?

Who can help me. When i first turned my PHone on , i had 4 shortcuts on Lockscreen (Camera, PHone, Contact, etc.).
But after i completed all my setting and google resotred my backup apps. the shortcuts are gone. cant find any setting to get it back.

Maybe i am blind,but i cant find that setting. ON my Galaxy S3 its easy to find. but i searched for 1 hour in Lockscreen setting but cant find it.
I made a screenshot of me lockscreen setting (as attachment to this post). Its in german. maybe someone can tell me where exacty i can find it.

On mine, there's an entry between "Sperrbildschirm-widgets" and "Effekt für Entsperren"...
Did you restore system apps with Titanium Backup? If that's the case, it's most probably the reason why you've lost this entry...

i didnt resotred it with titanum backup. i just logged into my google account and google restored my apps automatically. thats it.
i dont understand why i dont have that "shortcut" entry in the lockscreen setting. very very strange.I am on UAMDM.
any ideas how i can fix this ?

After flashed the slim rom I did a factory reset. Then I found that the option for lock screen shortcut disapeared. But before the factory reset the option was there.
UBMEA also does not have the feature. German rom, also official. On my ME2 firmware had no problem. . I want it back

I want to change notification ringtone for each app. For example my email ringtone is the same as text message or facebook or whatsup.
I want to have a diferent ringtone for each one and then ill knows if its a mail or text message.
I have i9301i stock rom 4.4.2 and i cant find this option on settings.

Install ES File Explorer. And after this when you click on ringtones options in settings a new window will pop up. And tou will have an explorer option through which you can use any destination folder in your mobile and can use any ringtone.
And for using different ringtones for different apps go into apps personal settings.
