Tmob 3.14 update, Lots of settings/options gone off settings menu - HD2 General

Hello,
I've just updated my T-mobile HD2 to 3.14 firmware. I've noticed lots of the settings are gone, e.g i cant get into the USB to PC Options. I can't disable HTC Sense as before I was able to find an option to remove sense.
Have they deliberately removed heaps of options from the settings menu or is there a problem? Is there anyway to get these settings back?
Thanks.

IMO you should flash an older version of ROM in order to get back those settings the way you want to...

Remove the init_tray.lnk from startup and uninstall Hotspots. To get rid of Hotspots, you'll probably have to run a clear storage and reset before the external rom customization.
Ok so to get rid of hotspots I have to reinstall the whole update?
edit: i was able to to remove it thru add remove programs

Dutty's Task Manager installs but won't run

Is anybody else having trouble with Dutty's Task Manager on the new 1.66 ROM? I'm able to install it but it doesn't run and I can't see an icon in the system tray. If that won't work, can anyone recommend an alternative that will allow me to close apps when I click on the X button?
Isn't this a problem for anyone?
Not working for me too.

ok... what you have to do is disable the HTC SENSE before installing the cab... In the Setting Tab...tap Menu bar and choose All Settings --> Today--> tick the box Window Default-->ok... then you install the Task Manager.... soft reset... and enable the HTC SENSE again.. and you will see
Try touch x task manager its working fine on mine

Thanks Harry, that worked a treat. Funny that I never had to do that with previous ROMs but I'm happy to have it working again
I might give touch x task manager a try when I get home tonight. Thanks for the suggestion lordof_theq.
still not installing for me.
I tried everything above, including both task managers, a hard reset re-flashing the ROM. Nothing works
One time it worked but then i reset the device and it went again.
Mine runs but now I have two icons. And when I start the new install it won't load the programs. The window does not fill up.

Samsung - Settings -> (scroll down) Memory Settings -> Main Storage (this will remove prog's installed on my storage as well as memory card too) - Find your program and delete.

What about the memory settings in the Samsung setting menu?
Hi, does anyone know how to get rid of the opera9.5 installled in the phone? i've downloade/installed the new opera10 and have no use for the 9.5 version.
Opera 9.5 is included in the ROM!
You can only flash new ROM without Opera 9.5

Just delete it from the start menu so you dont have 2 Opera icons in the start menu.
As previously mentioned by another member it is in the rom so cant be removed unless you flash a cooked rom.

I have tried this method. However I do not find any listing of apps that I have installed to "My Storage".
I installed a flashlight app from here on xda, via .cab file. It didn't work, so I am trying to un-install it. It was installed to "My Storage".
Although unable to remove this app on-phone, I was able to uninstall the cab using ActiveSync (synce-kpm in my case) from a desktop PC.

problem com.htc.sdm

Are you both using the Stock HTC ROM? Rooted? S-OFF?
Have you removed any apps with Titanium Backup?
Bugger I've just started getting this exact problem this morning. Have tried removing so many apps, restarting, etc...oh well guess I'll be doing a device reset to the default firmware.

[Q] unable to send mms

ive looked through different threads and tried some of them but after booting to nand android i cantn send pics..i can recieve but not send...anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it?
heres is the android rom i have
DFT Android ROM for HTC LEO
===========================
This ROM was created on stock HTC Desire ROM base.
Main goals was to make ROM as close as possible to HTC Desire official stock rom.
i even copied what the thread said here http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948&highlight=problem+mms but it still didnt work
Hi,
You need to Google for your carriers APN settings and enter them correctly in Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Add New.
What you might want to try is following the above instruction but instead of delete the setting, press the menu button while in APN Settings and select reset defaults. then reselct your provider's setting from the list. You might need to toggle airplane mode on and off to re-establish a connection.
Depending on your carrier there are size limits to what you can send.
For instance, mine is 300kb on T-Mobile, you can adjust the size settings if you go into messaging, menu, settings, down to mms settings, try changing to 600 first, if not change to 300
(This is all dependant on you having the correct settings, if you do, try my advice)
thanks guys..i had to google my settings and found unlockr.com had them
thanks or all informations
