JK6 is what I have been looking for. Everything works in this build so far, the quadrant scores are not up to snuff yet, but the rom is snappy as hell. Still getting 60+ fps in Quake3. The issue about the call output not working when you call someone when connected to a headphone or tape adapter with no inline mic is gone. Like I said, when custom roms are built off this base, it will only get better. But if you were waiting for a great Froyo Rom, this is it.
Sorry wrong forum...
Like to to this as well. The battery life and signal strength on jk6 is excellent with out any tweaks. So far so good i feel with a few apk changes here and the there i could use this and wont feel like im missing anything as far as a smartphones goes. that being said i cant wait for tw, eugene or cm6 because this is a hobby
seems strange that when any of the developer starting to mess with the kernel, the battery life goes down. It happened with Cyanogen and it happened to Eugene as well. Anyone got any idea
Additionally, finally have true playlist support in the music player!
One downside is that the Option to enable/disable screen staying awake when connected to power is gone. It is permanently enabled.

Even though it is a downside, you can manually turn off the screen when you charge these power hunger beasts... All else is absofunkytootly amazing.
Yup. I created a word. Thats how much I'm excited about this rom.

Yes, battery was at 60% at 11pm last night!!! 60%!! Signal issues are also gone, GPS is working great, and I am actually getting a usable edge connection now (120kbps / 80kbps) when in areas of suck. Radio update has been incredible.
My screen still goes to sleep while charging. This is not a global bug, it's just you LOL

Have not tested the wifi calling, I keep it turned off because I was thinking it was a battery hog by definition. I will check on it and report back later today.
Anything else anyone wants tested let me know and Ill throw up the info.

I wasn't clear on that, when it is plugged in to the computer is stays on as it detects a USB connection. It's possible this only happens when usb debugging is enabled.
Plugged in to an AC adapter though display goes to sleep.
This ROM from the start seems MUCH more "snappier" than the JK2 Eugene put out.
But, I'm still on the fence regarding Battery Life on JK6 vs JK2.
I am testing, but I noticed From a full charge then unplugged overnight (7hours) with only Gmail+Contacts Synching, I went from 100-89% using JK6. When I was using JK2 I went from 100-98% overnight.
Some of the cause could have been from some of the additional bloatware I found running in "Services" on JK6 for me, under Application in Settings, like Slacker Radio, so I will compare again tonight.
On another note, I've also been comparing using Power Tutor, which isn't for Galaxy S phones at the moment, but it does give a lot more detail than the stock Battery Usage app. I found that with the screen off on JK6, there is only a 3-7mw drain. On JK2, that was more like 25mw.
With the screen on lowest brightness, (auto-brightness off). I saw around 400-425mw on both. It's interesting to note that the light sensor draws about 100mw, according to Power Tutor...
Again, all this is up for discussion, especially since Power Tutor is not optimized for the Galaxy S...

Just plugged into USB with debugging enabled and the screen goes off after the 30 seconds that it is set to. Not sure what would cause it to stay on if that is what you are seeing.
Might have to flash it as my first ROM if the wifi-calling is working no problem

There are still issues with Wifi Calling - I don't know about the battery drain piece, which a lot of people complain about, but The ringer still only rings on the earpiece, and not the main speaker , where a normal call would ring from. This makes it easy to miss a call, unless you're using vibrate.
Has anyone tested if the battery drain is better on JK6 with WiFi Calling?
I've made about 90 minutes of wi-fi calls today and a moderate amount of use of the phone display doing some other non-CPU intensive things.
59% after 6 hours of use.
Wi-Fi calling, other than the problem with the ringing, is working pretty good for me.
Battery use is a little bit better than stock JI6. It's not mind-boggling better, bit it is better.
My screen does not stay on while charging. I wish I had an option to do so. When I'm driving around So Cal I like to keep Google Maps up with my current location so I can monitor traffic problems, and there's no way to keep it constantly up on the display, or at least I haven't figured out how to do it yet. If anyone knows, let me know. I wish we still had the option to stay awake while on a charger.
There have been some posts by people which suggest this may be the final ROM. I'm pretty sure it's not. It's got some bugs here and there which I wouldn't expect to see on a final build, even from Samsung/T-Mobile. Nothing earth shattering, but enough to keep this from being the final release. That having been said, if you're currently running stock JI6, I see no reason why you shouldn't migrate to JK6. It's a definite improvement.

Interesting, I guess I'm just an exception
I love this rom, however, there are two things bugging me:
1) There is a slight lag in the app drawer when swiping left and right.
2) In Contacts, when you click on a name to call someone, there used to be the option to Call/Message someone. Now when you click on a contact, their contact card comes up with a big 'Message' button. While nothing horrible, it can be annoying.
"My screen does not stay on while charging. I wish I had an option to do so. Have you used Screebl before? I can't live without it.
My screen goes off too. It's dang annoying because I like to keep it on while I'm sitting at my desk using my pc.
If we can figure out why it still stays on for some people, maybe we could hack it into our phones? Is it a setting stored in a property file or a database somewhere?

I read on another site to simply turn off the always on in the wireless settings (not the background data in the sync menu) and my battery life has at least doubled. I was worried that my e-mail would not download or other apps would not work, but all my email still comes. The trick is that while your phone is in sleep mode it does not look for email, but once you use it the phone will get your email. Unless you MUST get your email right away, I would highly recommend changing this setting. All input would be greatly appreciated, I want to see if my good luck is working for other people. On a side note I am using Fresh ROM 2.0d.
Could you post the specific path to the setting you're talking about?
If I set my wifi to anything other than "never sleep", then once my phone goes into sleep mode I have to follow a long, convoluted, pain in the ass procedure to get wifi to work at all.
Hopefully that's not the setting you're talking about?
I posted this exact same thing in another thread two days ago. I was so stoked on my battery performance that I wanted to tell others. It's incredible the difference it makes! If you want even better performance go into Settings>Location...uncheck the use wireless networks box, and check the use GPS. Believe it or not the GPS uses a lot LESS battery life to detect your location than the wireless networks.
I'm getting like 2 whole days out of my phone now after doing these things...and that's with pretty moderate use. Hope other people try it out too.

I agree, I used the GPS as well, not the use wireless network. I forgot about that one. Your phone will only use the GPS when it needs it, not all the time like we used to think. The exact settings are at MENU/SETTINGS/WIRELESS & NETWORKS/MOBILE NETWORKS\AND UNCHECK ENABLE ALWAYS-ON MOBILE

This will vary from person to person. It will depend A LOT on how good your coverage is in the spot you're currently at.
GPS is GPS. It will require the same amount of juice anywhere on the planet.
Cell chips are different. They are hardcoded to give more electricity to the radio circuit when the signal is weak, for obvious reasons. So if you have a cell tower in your back yard, then yeah, you'll get great battery performance relying on cell based options. If your nearest cell tower is 4 miles away, and you're one of those people that loses signal when you go into your basement, then telling your phone to use cell info is only going to chew up battery even faster....
no thanks. This isn't a fix, it's a pref change.
Fix would mean that everything stays the same and you just get better battery life.
But, good advice none the less, just not for me.

Yeah, people on the forum use the word "fix" WAY too quickly.
"Fix" means everything works like you would expect, and like it should. Around here, people use the word "fix" when what they really mean is "here's a half-assed workaround that's a complete pain in the ass, but it will get 10% of the people by until something better comes along...."....

+1 - 6 minutes and counting to receive a test / text msg, while phone is sleeping. Nice the know though, if I need to really trade connectivity for battery duration. I should test whether sms polling is tied to the email polling interval. Cause it ain't interrupt driven with this setting.
edit: i know it's not really sms polling, but rather the lack of an interrupt(-ion of sleep).
Yes, you are right, it is not a fix, but a great way to increase battery life and like I said, everything works the same. I get messages the exact same way and email will go straight to my phone once I use it.

You sure about that?
When my wife sends me a text, I want to see it 5 seconds later, not 5 minutes later.
That may not matter to you, but when you make a statement to the whole world, you have to realize that some of us care about things that you might not.
How thoroughly did you test before you decided to say "everything works the same"?
Did you really test EVERYTHING? Or did you just test "everything that matters to you"?
I used to turn off background data and stuff on my stock 1.5, and I was thrilled I could actually leave it on with 2.1 so I wouldn't have to wait for google voice texts and gmail to come in. With 2.1 I can go the whole day with moderate usage and still have 40% at least left when I go to bed. Let it charge overnight and I'm good. This is good to know though if I am out in the sticks in a pinch and need the extra battery.
maybe it's different in 2.1 but in 1.5 i tried turning off the "always on" setting under mobile network settings under wireless controls but i found that after a while the phone will fail to restart evdo upon awakening and the only way to fix it is reboot. Never tried it on 2.1 but to me between the time on without signal fix nd upgraded radio i get all the battery life i need...
I get messages right away. I just got another one, tested it with a friend and it came right away!
On a side note, messages and phone calls have nothing to do with the internet. Remember we used to get text messages and phone calls way before smart phones.

But at what cost?
That's the big question here. Are you 100% sure that you're not missing any communications, or having them delayed?
I'd LOVE to have better battery life, but when it comes down to it my phone is a communication tool. If any battery tweaks delay messages, then they're WORSE then useless, they're actually harmful.
If I wanted to use my phone as a half-assed replacement for a PSP, then I'm sure I could squeeze some amazing battery life out of it, too. But above all, and with NO compromise, I must be able to send and receive communications instantly.
That's what a phone is.

Have you rebooted while in that mode?
Yes I have rebooted and just did another test. Got the text right away. Even more interesting is I have a program called Mobile Defense which can find your phone if it is missing and that works as well since it is all done through text messages.
I still love my phone but wondered how many people have noticed the same issues as me, I am hoping for a new patch soon to fix these problem, some have been mentioned in other threads but this is my list.
Call volume is too low
Wifi does not awake properly
battery shows 100% usage when in sleep mode
Screen randomley activates while in call causing call to drop due to touch screen being pressed.
Slight Lag when using the dialler, you can hear the DTMF tones later then you press them.
Charging takes over 3 hours, longer using USB.
When on a call people complain of poor call quality, mostly using bluetooth
Videos on youtube etc out of sync
I would imagine these faults are on everyones phone i would be interested in hearing if anyone has any solutions? I am running 1.6
Also note that about 5 of the above issues could be caused by something using my phone when it shouldn't be, but I cannot find the culprit lol

About USB charge, its normal. USB is dont have the same parameters as charger plus as far i remember the USB on the front of a lot of cases dont give the same amount power as the ones at teh back of case. Im not sure how does it look at notebooks.
I didnt had any problems with Youtube, on 3G and on Wifi the videos was playing properly.
I have the same problems.
Battery is down pretty fast and Wifi sometimes looses connection.
Another problem is, that sometimes the phone is loosing connection to a phonecell and has to reconnect. So for a minute my phone isn't online anymore.

Yes i have had total loss of mobile network while driving along, even though I know the area is ok.
I share the following problems
Volume is too low (mainly call and podcats) and even more using bluetooth.
Battery is odwn pretty fast even when i'm doing nothing! But I have the phone for few days and didn't read all of teh tips about battery yet.
In the market app (and some other) I need to touch severel time the touch "search" or "enter" in order to validate, it often doen't work the first time.
I only experience the battery problem for the first few days. after a few full battery cycle. my x10 battery last about 48 hours with moderate WiFi browsing. push gmail and a lot of txting.

I share your issues as well. The most annoying for me is the screen randomly activating during calls. Especially it seems when using the headset (posted this else where so im glad im not the only one). Also people I call complain that I sound echoy.
However, at least we have some confirmed updates coming our way as per the official X10 blog. But Q4?? Seems so far away.

I think you will find that is the screen protector causing the touch issues, it makes it hard to touch in the corners and can be fixed by removing it, although I have kept mine on
I would say most of the problems people are having is phone not going to sleep properly, once this is fixed the phone will be much better.

well what you are seeing is *digital* zoom, it basically using a smaller area of the sensor and enlarged it.

-mediascape is pretty bad
-during a call the screen go on and off (even when using bluetooth)

I use task killer, that doesn't stop the sleep issue, something is working while the phone is in sleep and keeping the phone awake 100% of the time. i may try formatting the memory card as this seems to help some users.
I disabled the Location thing. the battery improved considerably. i guess it used the cell broadcast function when i had the wifi turned off. and it does that with the screen locked also, but you don't actually need it. so just disabled it.

I have a problem with wifi connection getting lose and switch to 3g while I know that my home wireless is super good and I didn't have problem before rooting...I heard there is a wifi patch somewhere but I couldn't find anything...anybody knows?
for the battery there is a thread here for setCPU software and how to add profiles, specially having the processor operating at less than 300MHz after 30% battery and when the screen is off helped my battery improvement supergreat at least when battery bellow 30% u will be sure that you are squeezing few extra hours just to use it to make phone calls...what I'm saying it did more than doubling the battery life for me worth trying
For wifi problem i might have figured out the problem when u go to setting > wireless control > wifi setting > then hit the bottom left button there is advance setting (that i never noticed before) where u can set wifi to sleep, feel free to set it to never...im gonna c if this gonna fix my problem

Everyone complains about low call volume, but I have never noticed it...the actual speaker, for like speaker phone is definately a little quiet at times though.
To the OP, if it says your phone is awake for a large percentage of the time, and you haven't been using it for that much time, then there's probably some app that's not allowing it to sleep. If you can figure out which one it is, it will increase your battery life.
One problem I've just noticed was that there is no way to create groups with contacts. Certainly not a serious issue, but it makes sending a mass text very annoying.

the call volume improved with the new firmware, wish the camera to be a bit better. I really hate the gmail app for not giving me a list of my email adresess. and yeah the loudspeaker could be a bit louder
Hey guys,
Just updated to the x10 after my samsung galaxy died on me, so far i am rather happy - except for the lack of root, but that will come.
I have noticed many complaints on the forum about battery life, and have experienced the same thing myself. From my experience, i think this looks like the same issue that was faced on a leak of 1.6 for the galaxy - it was referred to as the "No Sleep Bug".
TBH, the name says it all - for some reason, in many builds of android 1.6, phones were not sleeping correctly. There are many theories as to why, from cpu not being allowed to sleep, to permanent communication with google servers.
Despite all these different theories, one thing seemed to fix the problem - turning off all location services. Some people argue that a different carrier build, turning off just 'share with google' under location, turning off just AGPS etc. would fix it, but from my experience, the only real way to fix the issue was to turn off all GPS usage unless you need it. The once you have used it, reboot your phone.
This fix obviously sucks, and a new fix has recently been released by a veritable android-demigod around the Galaxy.
HERE IS A THREAD ABOUT NO SLEEP ON i7500 GALAXY;
(ok, some stupid rule says i can't post links - can a mod help me out?)
HERE IS THE FIX FOR THAT PARTICULAR BUG;
(ok, some stupid rule says i can't post links - can a mod help me out?)
LINKS ARE IN POST #5 - THANKS TO ONDOTEAM (would still be nice to get them in this original post though)
Now, from my experience, no sleep behave exactly the same way on the x10 as it does on the Galaxy;
1) I turn of all location services, and my battery life at least doubles.
2) After said turning off of services, 'spare parts' no longer says 100% running time under battery usage - in fact it can be as low as 10%.
These two factors are identical to my experience with Galaxy. SO; is there any way drakaz's fix can be applied to our X10's? It seems to me that the files he mods are standard Android system files, not sony/samsung specific.
Now i am no developer, so i dont know it this is possible - the first question that comes to mind for me is "do we need root access, or can this be done through developer tools using the android SDK?"
Can anyone help shed anymore light on this?
Seems to work for me. I disabled all location services. Spare Parts went down from 100% to 7.6%.
I'll just have to enable GPS when I need to use it..
Awesome! Glad to hear it has helped.
Let's keep testing this guys - if it does show up to be a big cause, then perhaps the devs around this place can help is figure out a patch for Drakas' mod to make it work with our x10's!

No sleep is easy to fix, took me a while to figure it...
Turn your screen brightness from manual to auto, spare parts will now start showing proper running stats, no more 100% running.
The screen is a little dark in auto but it will cure the 100% running.
GPS and location services etc make no difference to my X10i, I am running the 1.6 version unbranded UK handset, the only thing to stop mine running 100% is to put the screen on Auto.

LOL... this is already going the way of the Galaxy thread!
My phone came out of the box with auto-brightness and i never changed that option, yet i still had no sleep.
Drakaz has done some fairly deep digging and is next to certain that it is an artefact of the geolocation bug discussed in the thread in which the problem was fixed.

Although I'd half assumed that they were referring to the total "up-time" figure which you can see at the bottom of the "about phone"; "Status" screen.. But perhaps not.?
Spare Parts is a standalone Program ...

Spare parts is indeed available from the market - it is a much more powerful tool for indicating battery usage than the regular android methods. The galaxy stared on 1.5 which had NO indicator of battery usage statistics at all, so we all learned about spare parts very fast.
Perhaps that is why no x10 users have realised about the potential no sleep bug; because so far only the android usage indicators have been used?...
Anyway, hopefully this can help us all understand the way our phones are working better together

14% it's mine value for running time, not 100%. By the way thats 30 minutes of 210 in total :S
I'm also experiencing "No sleep bug" after i used GPS. I use Battery Graph to plot my power consumption and after I use GPS, I can clearly see that power consumption is high even if i turn the phone in plane mode.
In addition SE widget, used to turn on/off GPS, seems to not work very well for me. So, to fix the bug, i manually disable GPS in parameter menu and restart my phone. After that power consumption is hardly null (20% in 8h with MP3 on almost all the time).

Do you have 3G always on?
My phone has no trouble sleeping.
Gps hasn't really been an issue but I keep it off when not needed.
Here's my solid settings:
1) No auto sync
2) No moxier
3) Gps off
4) Restart after using wireless
As long as it's like this my phone lasts 2 days easily

Yes, but I made a lot of test with and without 3G enabled and 3G seems not to be a problem for me. I think my problem comes from GPS.

LOL... this is already going the way of the Galaxy thread!
My phone came out of the box with auto-brightness and i never changed that option, yet i still had no sleep.
Drakaz has done some fairly deep digging and is next to certain that it is an artefact of the geolocation bug discussed in the thread in which the problem was fixed.

I have been playing with mine for a month to work out what caused mine to not go into sleep, I keep GPS wifi etc on 24/7 but in spare parts I was running 100%, after numerous reinstalls and removing everything i chanced on turning on auto screen brightness, now when i unplug my x10 the running sits at the correct level.
No Geolocation bug here
I have this problem with 100% on and off. Sometimes when I check its under control (~10%), other times its at 100%. I have GPS off, no WiFi, auto brightness... don't know why it sometimes just gets stuck at 100% :/
We don't have a thread yet discussing things that we like/don't like about the update to EC05. I am quite certain that Sprint ID will be a hot topic here, but we don't need to limit it to that.
What do you like and what don't you like? What has been fixed and what has not been fixed?
Personally, I am enjoying the Sprint ID because of some additional ringtones and wallpapers. The launcher works much like the stock Android launcher with the exception of the iD button replacing the browser button. I always activate the internet from an icon in a home screen anyways.
I have also noticed that the GPS seems to be very strong and accurate!!
In call volume seems to be louder (to me) as well.
I would probably enjoy Sprint ID if I could get any apps to show up in the app drawer for me. It's empty forcing me to stick with Touchwiz.
It seems to be much more stable. Gps works great. I've had no 3g data issues. No FCs, minus the xda app. I had to remove one bloatware file to get my adfree hosts file updated due to the /system partition having no memory left. The browser still has checkerboarding, but that's a minor thing for me, and the keyboard still does its thing. Otherwise a really good running stock ROM for me.
I did put launcher pro back on though. I've gotten too used to it.
Hardware keyboard sucks even more than it did before, which is impressive.
There's no longer a separate silent and vibrate ringer setting.
Those two are basically a killer. I guess I'll keep DI18 forever. :\
Orientation is slow as molasses. The terminal emulator yamaha_sensorcalibutil hack doesn't help at all. Will play with for a few days and probably go back to DI18 if i can't find a fix for orientation issue.

It is amazing that they could make the keyboard worse isn't it? As for the silent option, that's been gone since the first froyo beta. Not sure why they got rid of it.. it was a nice feature. :-/

Ok I have only been using it for about 10 minutes but I immediately tested the few things that I knew existed on EB13 for me.
1. Camera sports mode fixed
2. Video recording in low light fixed
3. Compass being screwed up fixed
4. 3g speeds faster for me
5. overall speed seems faster
6. Physical keyboard isn't missing keys for me DISCLAIMER: I am not a speed typer. I have only used the keyboard a few times since owning the Epic. However on EB13, and before, I could produce the letter skips pretty easily. Especially on double leTTers. I tested by typing 100 words as fast as I could and I did not have a single letter miss. But I did have a few spelling errors
Only two problems that I know of which I don't really care that much about
1. Browser checkerboarding
2. Playing audio from flash content over the web to bluetooth headphones stutters badly. Flash audio out of the speakers work fine. Had this problem on EB13 also.
If I run into anything else I will let you know.

My orientation and compass are flawless. I will keep an eye on it though to make sure I don't find a problem because I have only used it for about 20 minutes now.
So far, everything is running very smoothly and appears to be more responsive than my stock DI18. The only issue I have seen thus far is I disabled my Wi-Fi to look at the SprintID packs (you can only view these when using the data connection) and when I went to re-enable the Wi-Fi, I received an error. This corrected itself after I turned off my data (holding the power button and selecting the new data option) and then back on.
EDIT: Tried the BlueTooth, which worked great; However, when I turned it off and went to watch a YouTube video, the sound was only coming through the phones speaker and not the main speaker. It only started working again after a reboot. I believe I saw this in a thread a while back. Anyone else experiencing this yet?

Everything but the TWS bug has been fixed. Browser still checkerboards but not as bad.
3G and Gps have been vastly improved as well.
Overall its a very good update. Even Sprint ID is a pleasant surprise.

Sprint Id is a pleasant surprise to me too. I like the ESPN id with its wallpaper, ringtones and icons.
For those using sprint id, do you notice any performance or battery problems from using it? That is the main reason I am avoiding it. Wanted to wait until more data came in to see what peoples opinions were. If people could throw up some screen shots showing some differences that would be nice.

Nice Job
the orientation is amazing
seems as snappy as a custom ROM for me
but i did remove all sprints crap.
Any-who im waiting on a RC cm7 to be my daily ROM
until the nexus s 4g is released then i may jump on-that since its pure Google.
or its ported to the epic.
but overall Sammy did pretty good this time around.

Actually, its still there. You just have to change it in the settings every time you want to change from vibrate to silent.

Seems generally good. No lag, most of the bugs fixed, only the TWS bug remains (which seems to be in the AOSP Android code, not created by Samsung). It's too early to tell but it seems that battery life may be average at best. I've been on Stock EB13 with Genocide 0.4a kernel (which is an OC/UV kernel) and I got used to 24+ hours battery life, I don't think I'll see that with full stock EC05.
The battery life has gotten significantly worst with EC05. The drain when the screen is off is significantly more. There is a lot of lag, even with calibrating upside down, with the screen orientation. I have the same set up as I did with stock EB and the camera fix and the battery life was a lot better. I may go back to that.
The good for me:
1- 3g speeds the best yet, had 1.3Mb down and 700k up while driving.
2- Everything seems much smoother and faster. I wiped my stock sd card before flashing ec05 and my sd tools results are better.
3- GPS and orientation speeds are flawless. (removed Sprint bloat)
4- Modem in general seems fixed. My wifi doesn't drop out every 10 minutes like it did on eb13, and I can stream radio on tunein radio again without it buffering every minute or so.
5- Sprint ID. It's more options and stuff for us to choose from. Some may hate that, but at least it's actually useful bloat from Sprint that I didn't remove.
Still haven't found an issue after several hours of use.

I would give it a little time to judge the battery life on the update. I am pretty sure your usage has changed a bit due to the update brining something new and all the re-setup you probably had to do. In regards to lag - I have zero issues with that, it seems nice and fast to me - install spare parts from market and put animations to fast to get it even smoother. My GPS locked instantly inside my house which never happened before on any ROM (stock or custom). Screen rotation speed can be fixed by doing the yamaha calibration trick (need to root for that though) - I had to do this with every ROM including EB13 Samsung flash. I understand that to each his own, but I am definitely liking this update. They did a good job and now that I resolved my exchange server issue, I am really liking it. Good job Sprint/Sammy!
I still have the BT issue as the EB13,I have a Jabra A2DP headset,it doesn't see my headset after i turn it on,I had to turn off & on bt on the phone again for it to see my bt headset,I had this exact problem on EB13 but not DI18,sometimes no matter what i did,it just not seeing my bt headset anymore, had to delete and re-pair it again, very frustrating, beside this,i have no issues w/EC05.
Well im having all the problems below :
1. Assistive light not working
2. Lagging in "click sound" when locking the
device.
3. Cant load sd card most of the time
My question is, wtf? And its annoying. Id rather go back to gingerbread anytime.

anyone knows how to disable to full screen when in landscape mode?
i cant seem to use my swiftkey tablet x now, which i was able to with GB.
Thanks!
Mine are not prbs but am yet to see most of the promised features to its full potential, Cant seem to find the new unlock screen features etc .. Just got my phone upgraded and exploring
SMS converting to MMS..
Does anybody know how to fix this issue?
ICS in Note
After upgrading to ICS via kies,
Battery seems to drain very fast.
Camera hangs up sometimes and other camera related apps like Instagram also but maybe the pic quality is little better.
It seems to crash when some other apps runs too.
Not sure if it was there before but I can pause music and video if I show my palm on the screen.
The screen rotates faster than in GB with a pause at the beginning though.
News fonts are good.
Window animations are good but still dont' know how to stop it since it might be draining battery fast.
Can use Chrome now and it's fast.
I cannot use Mass Storage Mode. I recieve a "Ui stopped to work" error.
I am facing,
1. High android OS usage. Sometime its higher than Brightness, and most of the time its highest usage of batt after brightness. (I read somewhere, it said its calculation errors, but I think its not, cause my battery no longer last that long.)
2. Camera will sometimes fail to operate. I really dunno what is wrong with that.
3. Phone just cant go into deep slp. Its being kept awake by some apps (Which I cant narrow it) Using BetterBatteryStats, I found out its I2_HSIC. (Whats this I2_HSIC ??)
I am using a 5400mAh mugen batt. previously on GB, my usage can last me 24hrs, now it can only last 16hrs or less. I installed lesser apps, and lesser widgets. Disable account sync and google backup. Settings more or less kept the same.
Overnight my batt can reduce by 21%, it never happened before. lol. ICS...

I have a bug I have not seen mentioned.
Occasionally, usually about 1 time per day, My phone display will start to flash, with random green and red colors. The screen I'm on, will flash those colors then star to shake and slide.
It looks like a television station not tuned quite right on an analog antenna (if anybody remembers that!)
I can't reproduce it regularly, but It think it has happened when going from an Application, back to the home screen using the home button.
I am on ICS, Taiwan, stock, not rooted.
Anybyody else seen this?

I faced this issue with stock ICS (rooted) .
I opened the browser to html5test.com , and the screen filled up with lines (similar to a TV noise) . Turning off did not seem to work, so i did a battery pull.
Unable to reproduce the problem so far!

I can get the screen back by just waiting it out. Usually takes about 2 minutes. I sure do wish I knew what was happening, though, so I could confirm no damage was being done.

As far as #2 goes, go to your battery stats and see if "media" is listed. If so, force close it and try again. Seems to work for me. I'm not sure if it is just me or not because I have been playing with settings lately, but the media scanner tends to run wild it seems (also seems to lend to battery drain).
I am just disappointed that they left out some of the nice features of ics like the updated gallery and camera. Seems kind of lazy to me and no wonder things arent working well if they are mix and matching gingerbread and ics rather than going all in and starting development from there. I would definitely go back to using one of the non tw ics roms if it weren't for the sod issues I was having...

-i have enabled 'face unlock' and sometime it will not respond at all so keep doing lock/unlock till get restored.

I also got that green bands screen you describe. I held down the lock button til the phone rebooted. I think I was using the Dolphin Browser at the time.

1. Poor battery.
2. Sync errors: calendar sync freezes up every once in a while
3. Brightness slider in notification bar gone, tasker can not effect change of brightness anymore, only choice is to keep automatic brightness on, otherwise blinded out in sun.
4. Contacts and phone apps show up in 5s or more to load: need to switch to those ugly dialers, no choice at all
5. No widgets menu in app drawer as in nexus ICS
