I've contacted DELL several times about this POS and they always either act stupid or stonewall. They've been jerking our d*cks about this thing for over 6 months now. I'm ready to buy an HD2 just to f'ing spite them.

Are you dumb? It's been released already in the UK, they have basically given release dates for the US and US versions are starting to pop up on ebay.

Like I said - SPITE! I hate a company like that jerking me around. The last time I asked a rep about it (last week), they acted like they didn't know what a Streak was and asked me for a webpage on it. I gave the guy the webpage on Dell's site and he said "oh...we don't have a release date". F'ing assholes.

Haha indeed Dell support acts like they do not know what you are talking about. Then state they have no information. Dell also does not even have an information page for the product other than the press release and 1 blog post (which they never respond to comments).
I too am completely furious about their approach to getting the Streak in the hands of their customers (other than the UK). I personally believe they are tied down with partners (like AT&T and O2) restricting them to just do whatever they wanted and release it. They have confirmed at the D8 that it will release in the US in July. Almost there...
Also, this is all new territory for Dell. Overall the Streak is a beauty and for that, I could care less who made it. I just want one!
jezz ease up. If engadget hadn't managed to find the mini 5 prototype in Asia you wouldn't have known about it for so long. Whats wrong with developing your first piece of hardware in the mobile marketplace so its good and can get help get market share. I mean would you want them to launch a device that is buggy and has issues, I think not.
They have been pretty clear for the last little while on dates and launch details, more clear than some of HTC or Moto launches as of late. Go get your HD2 and enjoy some year old WinMo if thats what you really want.
I'm tired of waiting around to find out whether or not this thing will work on T-mobile. Yeah, I know about the FCC filings for the t-mobile band version but who knows if that even was manufactured.

I hope you're right dude. I had a Touch Pro that had a digitizer failure so now I'm forced back to my 8125 Talk about TORTURE! I was going to just buy another Touch Pro or similar but hate to spend the $$ when the Streak "may" be coming out here in July. I've been drroling over the Streak for a long time, but I REALLY hate Dell's PR and handling of the release of it. That's where Apple has a real edge over other MFR's, they keep the lid on it so people don't get pissed waiting on their products. Michael Dell was smiling like a fool several times over the last 6 months with a Streak as if to say "ha, ha MF's! I have one and you don't!" Makes me want to say "suck it, asshole! I'll take my $$ elsewhere."
Hi guys,
It's worth the wait.
I have had loads of HTC's, last one being my HD2 in February.
I got the Dell Streak yesterday and I thinks its better than any of the HTC's I have had before inc the HD2.
This is mainly due to the Android OS and the marketplace download facility which is way better support than any windows based apps download, or in fact is there any?
I have installed loads of aditional apps, all free and am having lots of fun just as an iphone user would, with ease of use , but all my apps have been free, think I said that but it should be repeated.
I am very gratefull to the XDA team in supporting this device via this forum but the next major step up will be 2.2 hopefully in September.
My brief summary is its not too big but definately bigger that the HD2. The screen of the Dell is actually the size of the outer dimensions of the HD2.
The OS is much better and seems to be a more intuative device all round.
Ther is even an XDA app which saves having to go via the browser and is also very good but for some reason will not accept my login. Very easy to use.
So just wait and don't dive into a HD2 pit even though I love that as well.

Hey John,
What you say is true. This device's software is great, and has a lot of apps backing it up. However, that's solely because of the Android OS. Tell me, is it worth having a 5inch screen for a phone? Wasn't the HD2's 4.3 inch big enough?
HTC also has excellent Android phones that are backed by the same software as the Deal Streak, same goes for Sony Ericsson and Samsung.
On a personal note, I don't see this phone getting as much support as the N1, Desire, or even the X10. Whether from the manufacturer or us, the community . So It all comes down to that, doesn't it---as well as the aesthetics and dimensions of the Streak as well.
I don't see the Streak going far in it's life time.

Two things on this:
1.6 Really? After having 2.2 on my Sexy Nexy, not sure I want to go back down...
And I played with an EVO and an HD2 last night. 4.3 is pretty big. I'm really re-thinking the 5 inch screen...but damn, it's 5 inches! This is the biggest love/hate I have ever had. Ugh.

Hate to say it, but I agree. I'm not sure Dell will roll out releases in a timely manner (I mean come on, this thing is shipping with 1.6???). And I don't see it being a huge success at 5", so I don't think there will be as large of a community offering support.

Hi Guys,
I am not agest but I am 56 and my eysight is therfore going south.
I cannot see any mobile screen without the assistance of reading glasses.
So for me the larger the better. Having said that I think going above 5" may be impractical for a phone. I have not tried it with a bluetooth hedset yet. I have one in the attick somewhere that I have been trying to flog on car boots for 3 yrs.
The streak does go in my jeans pocket as is but I am now looking round for a decent cover that will protect but not add too much to the dimensions. That may be hard.
I have found the streak better than the HD2 in several ways.
First the additional size does help with browsing and able to fit in lots of screen shortcuts for apps/widgets etc.
It does seems faster all round.
Apps install in the native 2gb memory leaving the sd card all for myself. On the HD2 I was installing as many apps onto the SD as would work.
Some of the above is due to android yes
I am patient enough to wait for the 1.6 to 2.2 upgrade and I think Dell will come through as they have a vested interest in getting the 5" working and selling itself before bringing out 7" and 10" versions.
I am new to android but maybe Dell wanted a tried and tested version as their first tablet before going for say v2.1. I dare say thier development team is fairly new.
Android 3 looks good but may not be available on our phones until xmas 2010.
I think there is definately a market for bigger phones if only for chaps of a certain age who are still techies.
The HD2 may well have a larger market but so has the iphone and there are more reasons I don't want one of them then I can discuss here. Apps are a doddle to install on Android compared witrh any windows phone.
I would like to see manila on the Dell but that will never happen as its HTC property. The Android 3 version seems to be offering a decent GUI though.
WOOT WOOT!!!!
I do not care what anyone says. I want a Dell Streak and I want it bad! I just hope this bad boy has some decent gpu performance.
Thanks [email protected] orange didn't get hold of this! All I can say. Selling my TG01 to buy myself out of my 'we sell you a mobile even though there's little or no coverage in your area by our so called vast Orange network' contract.

Agreed
Glimmer of hope???
Per BGR: We have heard from an AT&T source that the Dell Streak is launching on July 19th on AT&T...
- Can't post a link since I'm a 'new member'... just google news it...
I bounced through Dell sales chats a few days ago and finally was told by someone in the Electronics and Accessories dept. that it will be available on their website on 7/16/2010. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen.
Either way, maybe one of the other phones might be better for me (like the Samsung Captivate/Galaxy S series), since it still has a pretty big screen without all the heft of the Streak. Also, the Captivate may receive wider market acceptance and more software support from Samsung as well as developers (at least AT&T and other carriers are promoting this device, which is more than Dell is doing right now).
Johnny,
I am like you old as dirt, and the bigger the better. plus the browsing experience is better when bigger.
I wanted a Huewai S7 which is 7", but not available till the end of July.
Android OS rocks over the HD2 win crap. this is the last win phone I am going to have, selling my HD2 to my son....
Dell has really done a dirty deed to us all, but it should be worth waiting.
Please dont make the mistake of buying the samsung galaxy s, its a pile of s**t, trust me i had 1, just to many problems and samsungs UI is so slow, that it lags like hell, i now have a dell streak and i couldent be happier

Morning!
Not that I am one to dance on graves or imply than someone is 'gettingonabit'....but the inevitable truth is that our little Hero's have been overtaken by newer, faster and more powerful models with smaller chins.
So with upgrades, including mine, looming I'm asking... What handset will be next? Why that handset? Or will you be waiting for something even shiniererer to come out?
I for one am being drawn to the Desire Z although I'm not that keen ok it's looks. My ideal would be an Android version of HTC 7 Pro.
Ever since I was literally mugged of my T-mobile Vario, I've really missed a physical keyboard. I'm also hoping for something with a decent battery life, so the Desire HD has fallen like Naomi Campbell in high heels and is out it the running straight away.
Look forward to your replies, peeps!

I'm starting to look around a bit right now too! My upgrade isn't due until about July, but figure unless some nice new phones come out in the next few months (which is highly likely, and they will probably have a price to boot), most of what I'll be looking at on contract is out now!
Desire HD - I like the power but not too keen on the size.
Desire Z - I like the size but it has an 800MHz CPU which is probably ample for my needs.
Galaxy S - I really like HTC Sense, infact it pains me I use a custom ROM on my Hero because Sense is just too slow for me.
I'm even considering a W7 phone - maybe, but I really love the customisability, and geekyness of the Android phones !
my next handset doesnt quite exist yet. I'll retire the hero when I see, dual core, notification light and either a slide out keyboard or a screen above 4.1 inches .. Im hoping htc will bring it.. think I will avoid moto almost regardless as I enjoy custom roms which have kept my hero fresh, to be honest Im upgrading because I cant type easily on the smallish screen/ with lack of physical keyboard.. love the phone otherwise
I decided to take the plunge to WP7 and bought a HTC HD 7 on O2 pay as you go ..as I had never used a Winmob phone before
I love the Big screen and gaming is good although pricey
The phone has problems with the sound and camera but otherwise is a lovely phone
Also being WP7 the apps are slowly trickling in so have to be patient.
My Hero is due for upgrade around 2 months time
so the options I am thinking about are
LG Optimus 2x - Dual core
Motorola Atrix - Dual Core
Nexus S - all for the love of google and front facing camera
Samsung galaxy S - front facing camera
Desire HD - or if Htc comes with any new phones
Nokia N9 - If its worth it
Nokia N8 - Was a nokia fan all along untill Htc came up
Iphone 4 - ZZZzzzzzzzz
I hope HTC seriously comes out with New phones or even Nokia love them hardwares
With MWC in a couple of weeks, you'd be crazy to make any decisions now
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc has also, today, just taken my interest too! Due for around March/April release, looks nice, has Android 2.3 and a descent camera by the looks of things!
I have no idea but defently a HTC. Easy rootable
I am waiting to see which phone takes Feeyo
My next handset doesnt exist yet
I want something the same size as the HTC Hero.
Bigger battery (1800amps+ would be great!)
1ghz ish (Not dualcore!)
dedicated gpu would be nice but dont care too much.
I dont care how fast it is (rooting can always get them faster ) but I want the battery to last well before I root. That way it will get even better!
Also with a good Dev community... In fact put that to the top of the list after the past 2 days clusterfuck.... >_>

Heh, heh. I know you probably made an honest mistake but damn... I would love a cell phone battery with 1800 Amps! It would last FOREVER.
At work I do testing of electrical utility grade equipment. Our 2000 Amp transformers are so heavy I can barely move them.
i have hero magic galaxy and epad.
galaxy is beautiful gadget
epad is slow and bad touch. epad is helpful mostly big.
did magic then hero then galaxy. galaxy not as much systems then hero sadly.
best is galaxy with games!

which galaxy? I've read that galaxy S has lots of aftermarket roms available but galaxy captivate has issues running anything over 2.1 (like, it can even burn itself out!?)

Hi. Hero is my first android device. I am using it for more than a year and I have started to think about replacing it with something new. First of all I want to say that hero is a brilliant device and I am very happy that I have bought it in september '09. Secondly, I expect from my next cell to have a bigger screen with a bigger resolution, better CPU, more memory and ... a camera flash light.
The DHD is a very nice looking device but it is too big and the battery is weak.
Galaxy S is too shiny and plastic, but the gaming performance and speed is WOW! However it is a Samsung and I have bad memories with them.
So a perfect replacement for my Hero would be the Desire, but .... Motorola and LG are making a big performance leap forward with their dual-core devices. So buying now a Desire wouldn't be smart, cause in a year's time it will probably be like my current hero (quite good, but with many limitations).
So I am looking forward to MWC where there will be announced a replacement for the Desire and I think that will be my next android device.

@zagielek
You took the words right out of my mouth!
Something I am looking for in my next phone is ANT+ compatibility. Sony Ericsson is the only one announced so far, but I am not keen about them. A samsung or a HTC would be nice. I'm on my 4th HTC at this stage.
Well following MWC nothing really grabbed me.
There are three phones around that I would consider but:
Desire Z: is just a bit crude design wise for me; two tone grey, patches of metal etc. Plus the spec will quickly get dated.
Pro 7: Nice tough looking phone but Windows OS. I would actually consider it but just can't see it having the flexibility and apps of android.
Nokia E7: LOVE the form of this handset. If the little green android was running it I would get it in a heartbeat. But sadly it's Symbian, although a new version, I'm really not sure I'd be happy.
So generally feeling at bit miffed- right handset with wrong OS or wrong handset with right OS.
Might have to consider giving up the keyboard

I'm thinking Nexus S or Galaxy S2...
One thing for sure is this time I'm not tying myself up in a 24 months contract...
In a lot of cases it can work cheaper taking a monthly rolling contract (costs vary between £10-£20 instead of your general £35) and then buying the phone separately. With this option I would however have to downgrade my ambitions...
I could always go for a Droid X HD10 lol...
im going to get a galaxy s 2, really wanted htc to bring out a new device to compete with samsung and lg's new phones
Still looking out for what my next handset it's going to be.
Hopefully, it will be lot's of fun (that is, not bored) like Hero, where there's lots of community forum support and plenty of ROMs available from developers every few weeks/months to flash
For the four of you who might actually care T-Mobile has officially discontinued the Dell Streak 7 tablet and Dell Mini 10 HSPA+ capable netbook. The Dell Streak 7 was introduced back in January during CES and was quickly overshadowed by the upcoming G-Slate. Met with mixed reviews the Streak never took off as T-Mobile’s first 4G tablet and the Dell Mini 10 appealed to the Netbook loving crowd who unfortunately got tempted by the sudden rise of tablets. In any case both devices have met their inevitable end on T-Mobile and we bid them farewell. They are gone and mostly already forgotten.
SOURCE: http://www.tmonews.com/2011/07/dell-streak-and-dell-mini-discontinued/
Dell really needs to step their game up. Can't they see that their customers aren't happy with their products?
Actually as a Dell customer I am very happy with my Dell products. I accept that they have some flaws though.
The Streak 7 needed a better screen and advertisement.
The Streak 5 needed to open with 2.2 and advertisment.
Both devices could have been really big wins for Dell, but Dell squandered the hype generated around the initial launches with poor communication to the buying public.
Well on that note I love my dell streak but seems that in the real world dell products ain't doing to well. For T-Mobile to drop dell is a pretty big thing.

Correct. Problem is Dell sucks at advertising....
The Dell Streak 5 would of sold a hell of a lot more if it was ADVERTISED!!!
I'm surprised at the amount of people who have never heard of it.
Infact EVERYONE I know have never even heard of it....
When friends, colleagues at work & even strangers see my Streak, they ask:
1 - What is that? Is that a laptop?
2 - Is it Dell? I never knew dell make phones
3 - Is it Lg or Samsung?
4 - Is it a large tablet?
5 - Is it Apple ipad?
Truth is Dell sucks at design, advertising, build quality and customer support
If I wasn't into hacking/modding I would hate the streak. If I didn't know about things such as launcher pro or other aftermarket launchers I would hate the streak because stage is so buggy and limited. Besides the few hundred streak owners who visit xda and other forums, I'm sure anyone else who bought the streak was probably displeased. Dell is in trouble if they can't up their quality, updates, etc. otherwise they'll never catch on in the mobile world.

It isn't necessary to do a lot of hacking/modding to get a very enjoyable device out of the Streak. Replacing the Stage home app would do it for most people. Rooting and getting rid of the unnecessary stuff would be the nest thing I would do (especially if on an AT&T locked device).
We have owned five Android phones (seven if you count my brief defetion to US Cellular) and my wife's current HTC Inspire is the only one that I haven't needed to tweak. BTW - the Inspire is still running Android 2.1, so Dell has updated the Streak to a later version of Android than what is arguably the best Android device that AT&T currently sells has. I don't see the reason for the complaints about the lack of updates. Of course I did not buy the Streak when it shipped with 1.6, so I didn't have that 6-7 month wait for the first updates to roll out.
I also think that the build quality of the Streak stands up to other phones I have owned or tried out.
My Streak came, carrier unlocked, with Android 2.2 and with the updates that Dell has put out it would be a very good device even with no tweaking. Like many - one of the reasons I like Android is that I can tweak/customize my phone easily.
Good point, Marvin...... My Streak is also factory-unlocked with factory-installed Froyo.... only thing I've done to it was to immediately delete Dell's "Stage" widgets and install "Launcher Pro" (to increase the number of shortcuts on home pages)... and I'm VERY pleased with my non-rooted Streak..
I've two horrifying experiences with "rooted" phones (both phones would eat through a fully-charged battery in less than 3-hours)..... and all for what, a millisecond faster response time? Frankly I just don't see the point, especially if it's your primary, high-investment-dollar phone (but I do have fun swapping ROMS on an old "backup" HD2 I have) LOL

Sad for a Streak 5 owner, like me.
Such a shame the device was poorly marketed, people I know who have seen mine, 50% say its too big, but the other 50% say they would love a larger screen but just hadnt heard about the streak. Shame on dells marketing department.

what a shame, i own this device for over 3 months and i'm more than glad to own it...
but let's look on the bright side, not too many people will have such a great smartphone...and a big one too
I've still got mine, coming up on a year old (where does the time go?)
Came with 1.6, which was better than the previous windows mobile device I had
out of the box, 1.6 was better, I didn't have to change a crap load of settings like I did with WM to get it to function. I waited on 2.2 until December, being a noob on android, I didn't want to brick it. Now that I'm a little more familiar with android, I've customized mine to my liking, and 2.2.2 is rock stable.
Since this is a 75% work 25% personal device, I've held off on 2.3x for now.
It's a shame that Dell has no clue what a little gem they have on their hands.
They've killed it because the bean counters only look at how many they sold, and not the lack of promotion.
When time comes to get a newer device, I'll have to give a serious look before I get another 5" dell, if they even have one, and that's a shame. Over the past 10+ years, I've owned nothing but Dell laptops, and have had excellent results, and only a time or two, had to have them repaired, but Dell dropped the ball on the Streak.
I just read it a couple of minutes ago. Its such a shame. I hope they do release the drivers now, so devs can port Gingerbread/IceCream to it. Oh wait. It's Dell. Ah crap, there won't be ANY drivers.
So sad to see it go. Also looks like there will be no replacement for it either. While my Dell Streak has always had its share of quirks I've never liked a phone more. Most people who saw my phone had never heard of it. Even a few people who work in the AT&T store didn't know what it was. I'm also running 2.2.2 right now and it is really stable and very nice IMO.
That being said, I have had my share of issues. Both of the batteries that I've gotten from Dell had to be replaced and the third one in my phone is beginning to show signs of being either bad or getting there (not sure how that works as I only have Dell chargers for the phone). The phone tends to over heat when running GPS and anything else ie. I get a call or play music in the car. Despite my best efforts to keep it nice, the paint is chipping off of the battery cover and the Dell logo has completely come off.
After all of that I still love this phone and will be very sad when I do have to trade it in. Though I won't miss carrying around a charger in my pocket .
My conclusion is that this phone's failure was pretty much 100% Dell's fault. If they had just gotten the freakin' thing into an AT&T store instead of only selling it online and in BestBuy this wouldn't be happening right now.
lol XD
i bought my streak 2 weeks ago ( though my brother has yet to bring it to me from far off place -.-)
I don't know if i should be worried or feel proud.
I used brother's streak and it works wonders really.
So i think they won't update phone any further ? i wanted honeycomb for my mobile because that OS is made just for tablets. Any chance for updates for OS ?

Anyways. i have heard a lot about Steve on this forums. looks like he is a streak freak XD
Honeycomb not good for streak
Honeycomb was designed for tablets with hires screens without hardware home/menu/back buttons. The streak is not really a tablet but a phone with a big screen. I'd hate to lose the use of the hardware buttons and have to use on screen buttons in honeycomb.
Hell, a lot of android apps don't run well in honeycomb and need different versions.
The streak doesn't really benefit from running honeycomb.
I agree that if you are using the streak as a phone first device then yes HC does not sound practical. but once the streak has run its course for any cunsumer, which is soon, for me. I would love to turn this bad boy into a HC mini-tablet.

Not to pile on here, but I have to agree. I literally just picked up a Galaxy SII and the only redeeming quality of the Streak is the screen size advantage.
The Streak is a great device, but it just doesn't hold a candle to the Galaxy SII at this point in time. I loved my short stint with the Streak, really. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but I want to share my experience.
My main complaints:
The speed. It actually feels slower than I ever imagined by comparison, but that's not a knock, really. After all, it's an older device
But....
The sound quality is absolutely abhorrent in comparison to the Galaxy SII or any other smartphone I've ever used, including the HD2, Vibrant, several Nokia devices, etc.
There is a constant and definitely audible signal noise in the Streak that really bugged me. As a recording engineer, I can definitely hear the difference between the audio systems on the two devices. When the playback system kicks in, you can literally hear the hiss in the background. When the playback stops, the hiss vanishes. Upon further investigation, it seems that this is a known issue that found its way into several reviews. If I hadn't heard it for myself, I'd have not believed how terrible it actually sounded, and frankly, it's SO bad that I find it inexcusable on such a high-end device.
I sold my iPod and bought a larger MicroSD to use my phone as my main portable media device, and the Streak really let me down.
I was able to sell it to a friend, since my boss agreed to subsidize my upgrade cost by 50%, so I came out about $100 ahead. I couldn't pass that up.
In my area at least, the Galaxy SII has a waiting list with at least 200 people's names on it.
Again, I don't want to sound ungrateful, because I liked a lot of aspects of the Streak, as it is a groundbreaking device in its class, but the killer was the audio system. It's really painfully bad.
I'm not sure if it was just MY device and those of the reviewers in isolation, but I doubt it. Maybe others just don't pay attention to it, but for me the hiss was disturbing.
I just got a new job and was issued a Dell Venue Pro with windows phone 7 on it.... started plugging around with that and it is now my primary phone. Can't believe how fluid it is and all the integration with mango. Using my streak primarily as a gps for the car now... :-(
just about had it with the streak being slow, clunky.. I don't blame Dell, I blame Android. After a few days with WM7... I can see that Android is not ready for prime time... it might be after whatever comes out after ice cream sandwich..
like usual though the camera is subpar on the dvp, just like the streak.
if google came out with navigation for wm7, it would be ditched already.
I never own a venue pro.must be good.do you think it's too thick or too heavy?

This is sad! You 2 guys are like celebrities in the Streak world...
I still love mine, but have not tried any newer phones. May have to look into the SGS II, as I don't see the Note being a viable alternative for the near future in the US.
Krad, what do you like about Winmo 7? I have had nothing but Windows phones since smart phones were invented (Streak is my first Android), but I heard Winmo 7 was just kind of a simplified (although pretty) UI. Is there lots of development?
I am positive that Android is the wave of the (foreseeable) future, and have really enjoyed it.

The new HTC titan looks nice,.4.7" screen. Note also looks good but I believe titan will come out sooner.

The only arguable point I see is if you prefer windows or android...

I've actually been hearing good things about the new windows platform, and I might have to check it out.

I'm also looking forward to the HTC Holiday. It has a 4.5 inch screen and will run AT&T's LTE network.
I think the main obsticle standing in the way of Android, iOS and even WindowsPhone at the moment is the inability to natively print or offer true USB hosting, regardless of the device (tablet or smartphone). If Microsoft can develop an OS with these two missing features that can run on a smartphone, tablet and a PC, they will have a winner on their hands (IMO)

The Titan is very "meh". Honestly, I think the Note might not be enough of an upgrade in size. I want 6 inches. Galaxy Tab 7" fits fine in my slacks.
"The HTC Titan is fitted with a 4.7-inch S-LCD display which operates at a resolution of 480 x 800 and offers up a pixel density of 199ppi.
The quality of the display can't really be called into question, as it's of a generally high standard but the size may put some folk off.
The Samsung Galaxy Note boasts an enormous 5.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen which features a resolution of 800 x 1280 and a pixel density of 285ppi,"

dude... you should check it out...
I love my streak, but the Windows phone 7 is buttery smooth & very slick. That is before Mango is finally pushed out. I installed the beta2 mango on my Dell Venue Pro and thought, "THis is simply a SICK OS!" I'm probably going to switch over to the Titan once it's released.
I'm really interested in knowing what software the Windows phone 7.5 mango will use for the face to face video chat. The titan has a FFC (Front Facing Camera) at 1.5mp, and the rear is 8mp, if I"m correct.
THAT is going to be SICK!
WP7 has not been the success Microsoft thought it would be and Android is cleaning their clock.
Will this Mango change that??
If it is advertised maybe. I have yet to see anyone with a WP7 device. Microsoft lost a lot of customers when the ended support for WM. They lost those customers to iPhone and android devices. Personally it will be hard for me to consider going back.
Except there is this...
http://mobilitydigest.com/wp7-running-ie9-smashes-the-iphone/
Like if the phone will run the a complete version of ie9 that is totally awesome and will result in my recommending devices that run WP7 Mango for use at work. We have been waiting a long time for a full version of ie on a mobile device.
I have the streak now, and the galaxy note is looking real promising, i cant wait for it to come out
Is anybody getting Samsung galaxy s 2 for the quickness and for the new touch wiz that the note going to have. Because I'm getting the note when they ship.

How do you get around without Adobe Flash?
The IE9 version on WP7 Mango is not the full version of the browser. It currently is not slated to support Flash and it doesn't do full active x either. I will need both those items before I can consider it for our needs at work let alone replacement of my streak.

Oh man! I'm now officially lusting over the Note after reading this article!

Apparently there may be plans to release the Note in the US.
According to this article:
http://www.gforgames.com/gadgets/samsung-galaxy-note-release-date-specs-13837/
"As far as the Samsung Galaxy Note release date goes, it has bee announced that the smartphone/tablet hybrid will be available before the end of 2011 in some Nordic countries while UK and US will probably get it sometime during 2012."
At least they have narrowed it down to a release year.

Personally, I'm still waiting on the ASUS Memo to be my Streaks Tab/Phone replacement.
I'm still up in the air about how I feel about the ASUS Padfone....
