I'm not sure. I was running Baked Snack 1.6 before I flashed Froyo. I flashed the Modem first and rebooted before I flashed the ROM and it appeared to have signal. I didn't test 4G or GPS, but 3G appeared to be working along with WiFi.

K thanks!

I've heard you can.

I have used the dk17 modem with bs 1.6 with exceptional results.. way better signal and gps lock!

I have been wondering this exact same thing for a couple days now. I have bs1.6 and wanted the new modem. In odin, do I just put it under phone, or PDA? I don't need to flash a .pit file with it do I?

I've been using the DK17 modem with the Syndicate 2.1 ROM for a week now. Works great!

I am using the DK17 modem and the epic experience with the phoenix kernel and I can't download anything from the market.it just force closes.

When I was in the process of upgrading, I booted into 2.1 with the dk17 modem. Everything seemed fine, but I didn't test anything to speak of.

Modem goes under phone. Apparently it can be done without a pit but I've always used one.

How to un-flash Bionix rom and go back to ji6 firmware?

Ok so I flashed the latest Bionix Froyo rom onto my Vibrant and I don't really enjoy the hiccups found in the rom. I would like to go back to the Ji6 updateand wait for the official 2.2 update from Samsung. Can someone explain to me how i would do so?

Odin back to stock JFD then update to JI6

In theory, you could flash Anderoid's AOSPish 1.4 which will bring your kernel back to 2.1 and then flash the stock J16 rom over that.

Would that work? That would be so much easier than using odin.

Yeah, aospish has the kernel included, so it shouldn't give you any problems.

What baseband, what rom are you using?
DI01 baseband. Stock rom. Just tried to flash evil once rooted. Sms was the only thing that didn't work. I've had same issue on other roms.

You will lose sms with that radio on EF. I would Odin DL09 and from there ota to ED04 or use the zip files found in the development section to get to the modem you want.
Keep me Fascinated.
Sounds like I can handle it, could I be a douche and ask for link to thread with odin file for dl09, pretty please?

sounds like it, sometimes, I've found that different versions have different outcomes, hence, asking for the version he was using.
I guess so? I tried older versions and it would not load all the way? so I downloaded this version 1.85 and it works??

I say it's more likely the USB cable. Mine do that. I just haven't gotten around to buying a new one that doesn't suck ass. I use 1.61 btw.

Revert epic back to stock

I want to convert my brothers epic back to stock without root or custom roms or anything...i just want to update through the sprint updates to 2.3. I think right now it is on a 2.1 rom...so how would i go about getting it on the official sprint updated 2.3 ginerbread?
thanks
Why nit just flash an ei22 rom ... it will keep Witt and update you. The almost stock rom works good.

Odin back to EC05 and then manually or wait for the gingerbread update to be pushed to it... You'll lose all data doing this though. The

Yes here is the thread to help you revert it to EC05 to get the OTA from Sprint:

Also as mentioned you could always just flash a custom Gingerbread ROM like Legendary.

Reccomend this cause the stock update kinda breaks gps and has dreadful keyboard skips.

My GPS survived the update without incident. I then rooted and flashed.
I agree with the other posters, I did the same as you're trying to do, and while I found it to be a very nice update, I liked the ACS ICS v5 ROM much more. It is EI22 Gingerbread as well.

Random Reboot Stock EI22 ??

So Im on Stock EI22 Gingerbread " Rooted with ACSR 5 " And Ive been getting random reboots lately since I rooted"
Any idea why?
Not Running any Clocking or Voltage control or any other CPU programs
They are rare but still exist. Is it only on wifi?

There is some new speculation that the problem could actually be with ei22 gingerbread itself... can't remember where the article was but I will try and find it
