Not Running any Clocking or Voltage control or any other CPU programs

Were you running anything or is it just sitting in deep sleep and reboots?

There is some new speculation that the problem could actually be with ei22 gingerbread itself... can't remember where the article was but I will try and find it

System update

I got an update last night and every time I try to do it I get an error. Is it because if the kernel I'm running? Oh and does anyone know What the update is?

Go into settings - About Phone, and tell us what your Baseband and Build versions are.
If either of them are DH12, it's the D101 update trying to install.

I'm not sure. I was running Baked Snack 1.6 before I flashed Froyo. I flashed the Modem first and rebooted before I flashed the ROM and it appeared to have signal. I didn't test 4G or GPS, but 3G appeared to be working along with WiFi.
K thanks!

I have been wondering this exact same thing for a couple days now. I have bs1.6 and wanted the new modem. In odin, do I just put it under phone, or PDA? I don't need to flash a .pit file with it do I?
I've been using the DK17 modem with the Syndicate 2.1 ROM for a week now. Works great!
I am using the DK17 modem and the epic experience with the phoenix kernel and I can't download anything from the market.it just force closes.

A couple notes:
3e recovery, and it's different than what I've seen before. (No Reinstall pkgs)
The modem on this ROM was mediocre (not as good as JK4), and no HSPA+
I also had apps with widgets installed that mysteriously disappeared from the widget menu.

The recovery is better than stock froyo or eclair. Has install update from sd card which when selected showed every cwm zip I had on my card. Didn't try one though. No disappearing widgets either. I like the modem, loud and nice voice quality. Speed an issue though.

After Odin back, go to system updates and update profile. I did this and got the update about 3 minutes later. Could be coincidence, but it can't hurt to try

If your stock, just download the update directly from google. Put it on your sd card and boot into stock recovery and run it. It is essentialy the same thing as the ota.

We have the same situation. My wife got it today(didnt do the update) downloaded it went to CWM recovery and then the update of course failed. Now the update zip isnt even on her sdcard anymore. Is everything updated with the zip( such as kernel, modem, and rom etc.) or just the rom and modem.
I just downloaded, renamed to update. Powered off and booted in to stock recovery. Ran the zip and....wait for it...I have EI22! Thank you for your help!! Now time to root

Good luck with rooting your phone you will need it.
Good luck with rooting your phone you will need it.
Its easy now. Just flash the clockwork tar in odin, and don't boot the system because when you shut it down, you'll lose your root. You need to flash a kernel, like nubernal or house of samurai to get it to stick.

No one click root is out for EI22, as far as I am aware of
From stock EC05, I just used odin to update the modem from ec05 to ei22, then used the one click root to install CWM 3.0.0.1, then used CWM to install my fav EI22 ROM

Can't boot MTD ROMS [SOLVED!!!!!]

Ok so recently I odined back to el30 (as I do at least once a week) and now I can not flash any mtd roms... I have tried redownloading and reflashing the recovery and rom(s) multiple times... cm9 as an example, I flash and it reboots to do the mtd conversion, goes back into cwm and boots... it gets to the boot animation (on aosp roms, tw mtd reboots right after the kernel splash screen) goes through it (sometimes makes it through) and then reboots... after flashing and it won't boot I have to pull battery and that's when the next problem begins... phone will not power on, charge, go into cwm... nothing.... I can get to download by using the slide battery in and out trick... its not the battery, after an odin it charges and boots perfectly (until I try to flash another mtd rom)... not bad downloads... I always check md5 before flashing... anybody have any insight as to what may be going on...
Edit- if you're not going to post something useful to try and help, don't post at all... so don't post stupid things like ... shouldn't be odining once a week". Comments like that don't help and are way off base... I know people that odin 2 times as much as me and have been flashing twice as long so please keep the dimwitted comments to yourself!

I guess that is possible... but I only started flashing roms and such when I signed up for xda... so november I believe... I know some people that have flashed way more than me... wouldn't that result in bml roms not flashing also?

I know that's true.... but can it just start being picky out of nowhere... I have ran cm9, miui4, well let's just say every mtd rom this phone has available... odined last week and now no mtd roms will boot... about to odin an e4gt rom and brick my phone and tell sprint it happened when it was updating to whatever the newest stock rom is... I'M AT A LOSS!
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
You tried Odin with repartition, the odin cwm 5.027 with reboot unchecked, pop battery out and in and then flashing CleanGB MTD?
You also said after trying the TW install it bricks requiring battery cpr. You could bring it right to Sprint at that point since nothing works then. Unless it only takes 1 in and out to get it into download mode.|

Its usually only one in and out... and yes I have tried odin multiple times and then tried EVERY MTD rom... I did get clean gb to boot once after this started happening... and then later that day shut my phone off and it wouldn't turn back on... now not even clean gb will make it past the splash screen... usually just rebooting the splash screen over and over... sometimes making it to the boot ani and then shutting completely down with the only way to fix being odin with the battery "cpr"... this phone is going through a wall super soon! I would ask if any devs would want it when I upgrade (probably next week) but I don't know how useful it will be without working mtd partition...

Yeah used to odin regularly to keep it clean, usually fixes more than destroys. I don't see why mtd won't boot for you. You might have a bad partition table. Your phone must not like mtd. I knew somebody with the same problem, they ended up taking it into sprint and they gave him a new phone.

Did you use the victory_8G_100528.pit file and check repartition? It seems like it isn't properly restoring your boot partition when you odin, if you didn't use a .pit file that could be why. There was also a totally bulletproof upgrade program that samsung posted on it's website a quite a while ago to upgrade to Froyo, it should still be floating around xda somewhere. If nothing else works try that.
