may be a bad download. try downloading the modem again.
Reboot your computer. Sometimes the driver gets mucked up.
Can you inform us on what version of Odin you're on? Just for analytic purposes?
odin3 v1.81
i am using odin v1.81 and i restart it my pc and nothing???
i have odin 1.85.
just download one of the leaked versions of gb. it's in there

sounds like it, sometimes, I've found that different versions have different outcomes, hence, asking for the version he was using.

I say it's more likely the USB cable. Mine do that. I just haven't gotten around to buying a new one that doesn't suck ass. I use 1.61 btw.

Since you are on dk28b it seems that you can get odin to work on yur mac. I would suggest just flashing the stock dk28 ext that is pre rooted through odin, its in the dev section

There are no videos that I know of and your question is very vague. First of all, have you put your phone in USB debugging mode? If so, then try other USB ports and if that doesn't work try a different computer. That is the only help I can give you. If you are using the oneclickrootandrecovery made by Drockstar it is rock solid and very very easy to use.

Wow, just wow. Please don't respond to any more questions. Heimdall is the program for Macs but most people I've talked to cannot get it to work. If you have a newer Mac and want to continue flashing I would recommend getting a copy of Windows and using it to use Odin.

I updated to dj05 and my text messages doesn't work. I need the radio file and I cant find it. the dj05 modem.tar file I have I cant get odin to flash it. I also have 1212testnovodoo file and cant seem to get it to work. Someone please help

How are you trying to flash the modem? You can't flash the modem in clockwork like the ROM/Kernel, you need to flash it with Odin.
I tried both ways. The downloads I got are not files they look like paper and I cannot even open them on my pc.

Do you know what odin is? You don't need to open the files. Just flash a DI01 rom back and you will be fine.

Does the modem file have a file extension on it? I seem to remember having an issue where I downloaded one of the DJ05 files, and it it didn't have a file extension on it and wouldn't work. I believe I fixed it by just adding the appropriate extension onto the file. Might not have been the modem file, though.

The modem file is a .tar file. To flash via Odin, you need to ensure you are using Odin 3 and not Odin 4 (it will not work with Odin 4) and load it as a PDA file to flash.

No, that is why you are having issues (I tried it initially using 4.16 and it failed, switched to v3 and it worked no problem).
There is a link to it in one of the odin threads in this forum, I can't find it atm but will post it when I get home.

I actually had an issue updating also, ended up being I was doing it from a 64bit system, tried it on a 32bit system I had, and it worked fine. I have heard people saying that they did it from a 64bit, but I didn't have any success.
Is there a way to update to the eb01 radio using a .zip and flashing through cwm. I don't have the ability to use odin so that is not an option. Thanks.

I assume you aren't using windows.
The only reason I thought there might be is that when you receive an ota to a new build your phone radio gets updated too. How can we not find a way to update through cwm then?

I'd be interested in this too. For some reason, I can't seem to get my PC to recognize a friend's phone, either USB, or download mode, but my device works just fine, so this would help, as the tard accidentally tried updating to EA28 when she was on a rooted DL09, and it borked her phone up.
Any suggestions ????

how do you get heimdall to install on ubuntu? it's not in the software center, and it won't let me install it when I download it through ftp.

Heimdall does not work on my osx version and on their website it says only works with fascinates on froyo, and says find a way to get there first. B/C of bootloader issues with 2.1

I was getting ready to Flash the EE03 Rom so I tried to get into clockwork but was stuck on the SAMSUNG Bootup screen, and the bottom menu/home keys won't turn on.

can't boot into clockwork, could only boot into download mode.
Make sure you're using the specified version of clockwork in the directions.

Yes, I'm using the latest version. But that doesn't matter because I can't even get into CWM. It's stuck on Samsung Screen during bootup, bottom lights won't light up.
ahh.... i'll just start all over and ODIN back to EC05. Hopefully that will work.

Yes Odin to stock EC05. Root with CWM3.0.2.5 one-click then flash the rom. I had the same problem. Make sure the ROM is on your SD card before you get started though.

No. All fixed now. Thank goodness. I just ODIN back to stock, re-rooted with CWM, and started over. All is working well!
Odin always works
Same thing happened to me my first flash of EE03. Re Odin, reflash and make sure to properly wipe.....lol.... I flashed the rom and the add ons first, then odin'ed the modem. The second time it worked like a charm. Give it a try, you will love the results.... Btw, try out the tw4 theme too..... Amazing

Looking at Miunia Beta-4 EC07. Just wanted to make sure of the process in going from EC03 to this version...all I have to do is flash this via Odin and I will be able to keep all my data, etc..? Do I need to clear caches via CWM?
And of course my next silly question...when flashing in Odin, this means putting the phone in download mode and using the PDA option ?

Yes, put phone in download mode. Clear cache, system, data, dbdata, and the dalvik.
Load miunia into the pda section of Odin, and flash. This will not update the modem however, you will have to flash the modem seperate. If you give me a few hours I will make a flashable modem image, otherwise flash the modem first, then flash miunia. Sorry for any errors, I'm tweekin out at the gym, to much preworkout supps.

I can't speak to whether or not Pattielipp ever made a flashable modem, but the rom is in both the dev section and on his miunia thread. If no flashable was made, the easiest way to get the proper modem is to flash the ec07.tar from the dev section in odin. If you are on any build other than ec07, DO NOT CHECK AUTO REBOOT. Once you flash it, put your phone directly back into download mode and flash miunia.
