I've started to have a lot of SMS problems. Sometimes it works fine. Other times, I somebody can receive mine, but I won't get a reply.Other times, they won't receive a sms, but I'll receive theirs. Finally, it won't work both ways sometimes. Both of our phones both say the message was sent, but I guess the SMS gateway isn't working right?
Is this a network issue, or localized issue?
try a hard rest and check if it still persists.
I would consider this a Network issue but its also possible that it might be a issue in the ROM your using i would prefer you change the ROM and then try.
I have been using the device for the past 2 months and it has been syncing perfectly with my company's exchange server. For the past 3 days, it is showing a wierd issue.
The device does not show the new messages anymore. The messages show up in my device only after I read them on my outlook or through web access. That means, the messages show up only after I read them through other means.
I am not sure if something changed with my company's exchange server which is causing this issue. This is driving me nuts.
Now Activesync is pretty much useless if this issue persists.
Just checking if anyone else out there know that this is a known issue and know of any workarounds? Appreciate your inputs.
Pls do let me know if this Q has to be posted in a different forum... Greatly appreciate any insight into this. Thanks everyone.
I found the cause of this issue.
Just in case if someone needs to know this in future. Apparently this issue can only be fixed in the Exchange server end than at the device end. So good luck.

I have a quick question, did anyone have any problems with the Sprint network today, as far as sending sms?
The reason I ask is I was unable to send any sms however I was able to receive them, make calls and use data. Everything is 100% now and want to know if it was a network issue or possibly a Rom related issue.
Thanks for any help.
I didnt get an Mms earlier

Once in a while, I get those repeatedly. I have to wait until that person texts me so I can send back, otherwise I cannot.
Interesting. Guess I'll give my Rom the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully it was just a temp problem on Sprint's end.
I have been facing the issue of not receiving MMS. I can send but cannot receive. MMS sent to my own number is still pending, however MMS sent to my fiance` is delivered right away...
Please help!

double post. Deleted.
The outgoing server maybe right but the incoming might be wrong.
If all else fails then do a factory restore. That fixed my problem before.

Hi all
I've got a samsung focus that I love but it has an intermittent problem where I can't receive sms. If i restart it and send myself a sms then I will get all the sms I should have previously got.
I can't work out exactly what causes it but I was thinking maybe it's related to changing cell tower when I drive somewhere. I have hacked it recently to send mms but this was a problem previously.
Has anyone got anythoughts on how to fix it?
Cheers
Nic
does it stop receiving messages after 10?

you'll most likely have to use *#32489# then the back button to get to the main menu. then follow post above.
Thanks a lot, worked a treat - it did stop the ability to pxt, but I'll live without it
