if i make a phone call it happens very often that i touch lightly the screen...with my ear or cheek. in consequence i turn the phone off, add new contacts or open any other apps. that sucks!
is there a dialer with a kind of lockscreen when make a phone call??????
phonex from Iconsoft does that as well as many other clever things.. costs though - but worth it imo. it has a trial.. I agree either the wm or htc diallers are hopeless, which is not great on something that's supposed to be a phone first..

I have the same problem, and I checked those 3 tools, but there seems no option. I Dont want to lock the device completely, only during phone calls.
On my Touch HD, the screen will turn off immediately after connection is established.
How can I get the same behaviour on the Diamond2?

Hey guys.
I cannot get this application to run on my dual! It just loads a black screen. It works though because I can slide to unlock it without being able to see the screen which isn't all that useful!
So is this just me?

It's known bug with certain devices but here's a workaround disable Direct Draw:
Edit your registry, navigate to \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2U2
Find the key DirectDraw and change the value from 1 to 0.
Funny enough on my dual I didn't have to do this tweak!
'slide' to unlock?
I assumed 'slide' to unlock was sliding the phone open..
after a couple of resets I found out that you had to 'slide' on the screen
I there really no way this to may it work with sliding the phone open,
thought this would be really nice..
Besides from this misunderstanding of mine it works fine, caller Id is very nice!

My Wing was doing this also. I changed the name from wallpaper.gif to Wallpaper.gif and it works fine now.

works after the registry key change, but....
It works lousy if you activate the callerID. When you get a call , the internal phone app. takes over the S2U2, and after you finish the call the screen just remained in the position of the incoming call picture of the S2U2 and you cannot do anything except soft-reset. :-(
Does anyone has an idea or suggestion?

may i know why you choose s2u2 instead of the WM6 built-in key-lock feature? just due to big wallpaper instead of the Today screen, or some other great features attracted you?

haha.. lol
i personally like the big caller photo most. yet i still can't make up my mind on using it for long term, because now sliding out the keypad can only wake up the device but no longer unlock it. and personally i still prefer using the green/red keys to answer/reject calls, which means the built-in key-lock feature can also do.
..and one more
It seems that all the keys and everything is locked except the iCube.
This can be activated even thouth the S2 is in keylock state.

you can lock the cube as well by adding this reg key:
[HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch\Disable4SpecificApp\S2U 2]
"ClassName" = "S2U2"

i didn't have this issue before but i have new sim card since a week and on vodaphone FR ( sfr) ...the thing is that when somebody calls me , at the first ring , the phone autoanswer to the call and i have no choice to speak !!!! if the phone is in my pocket, the time i take it , the phone has answered since a long time ...i don't know why it is like that .....
i have checked in the phone settings if i had had set the auto answer but no.
in HD tweak or Schaps3 , i did nothing like this .....
please help, it is more than annoying ......
another question: how to disabled the answering machine logo and notification displayed on screen when you have a new voice message ( i also have everytime "voicemail" displaying on the screen asking me to set the number)

i found the answer by enbaled the sleep function in hd tweak .....
so all is fine now ....but i still have the voicemail thing when a new voice message is waiting ...... if somebody knows .....
My phone always answers when I try to retrieve it from my pocket.

Maybe remap the keys? i didnt have a problem with this so far!
or use s2u2 to lock all buttons and use slide to answer feature.
this will sort out your problem besides its always a good thing to place your phone so the buttons face the bottom so when you pick it up you wont accidently press them.. make sence right?

Which version of s2u2 do you use I notice there are two on their web page - VGA or QVGA?
vga. it has inbuilt wvga support.
probably you have installed gyrator, which by default when you move your phone, it uses the g sensor to detect movement and answers your phone, go to the events of gyrator and disable the event
I had this too - thanks for pointing out that it was a behaviour of Gyrator.
How annoying! Turned it off now.
I have seen this bug since the initial days of the X1. Recently after upgrade to the R2 version the problem still exist.
I just have the following things installed in the phone:

A_C S2V
HTC TOuchflo 3D HD Beta 2
Pubba TouchFLO 3D Panel
HTC Enlarge Start Menu
HTC HTC Volume
I always use the TF3D as my defaul panel. I simply love the interface.
The issue is when the phone comes in nothing happens when i press the ANSWER button. I can reject the call but cant answer it. I need to restart the phone and things are fine again.
I think the culprit is
S2U2 or TF3D.
P.S. In s2us i dont use the slide to answer fuction.
Someone else has similar issue.
Its really irritating.
I would blame TF3D because it's the only thing you seem to have on your phone which is known to cause problems.
S2U2 works fine here, but maybe you have something done wrong in the S2U2-settings.
Try setting everything off except:
- Lock when device wakes up
- Power Save mode
- Safe mode
- Display Mode: DirectDraw
Also be sure you have the latest version installed www.ac-s2.com

Have you tried a hard reset and then not installed either (and possibly nothing else) for a few days to see if indeed it is a software issue and not a hardware fault?
it happens to me too
by any chance, do you have your phone in a pouch and then when you take it out, it switches to landscape mode from portrait and then you can press anything? thats what happens to me...
Actually I've experienced the same issue and I've posted in the Official S2U2 thread.
My thoughts is that S2U2 is the culprit, because I don't even have TF3D installed (nor ever did). I have been wrestling with trying to fix it for the past 3 hours, and I've come up with nothing!
I have seen this before and I think it is the way that the official WM caller ID tab works. It seems to always want to 'fight' another program for focus. S2U2 has a difficult time with the first call (also the first time the WM caller ID tab makes it's first appearance), but after a restart/reload of iLock2.exe, everything is fine for me.
This really sucks because I've had to resort to the default caller ID tab so that I don't miss anymore calls!
If you think thats a issue let me try setting up S2U2 to SLIDE TO ANWER option and see if it works for me.

I have a problem with the phone canvas slider (not tachi phone canvas) with a WM6.5 (my own rom cooked)
When an incoming call happen, an incall popup appears few seconds and after the slider appears. I want to disable this pop up but how ?
I have a second problem : When lockscreen is activated, new sms are not notified (by a ring or vibrate) until the screen is turning on. And when an incoming call happen, it waste some seconds before the phone is ringing, how to short this delay ?

as far as i know HTC phone canvas doesn't work with WM6.5 for now because of that popup/lock screen issue. Best option for now is use the default dialer with a nice skin

OR just don't lock your phone and use standby instead that way you should be able to use the HTC phone canvas + Slide to unlock
as for text messaging and notifications i have same issue where messages and notifications don't make any noise/vibrate until screen is turned on (usually phone is in standby and locked state)

For lockscreen, I removed the animation (the slide to unlock) with the cpr files. Now, it's like on WM6.1 with the WinMo locker but it works well with calls or sms.
For the dialer, I finded how to fix the issue when we scroll contacts in the dialer but this popup stay there.
I tried the tachi phone canvas but this popup appears just one time, quickly.
try this cab..i got it from ppc geeks..so no thanks to me just passing it along. Its seeming to work for most people though. I had the problem with a custom dialer, and the original WM incoming call notification bubble pops up. Worked for me...

A quick note to tell that CSDEVCTRL works perfectly on the Rhodium. Not only it is a light unlocking application enhancing the WM unlocking, but it is incredibly useful, with a number of goodies not related to unlocking. The hard button utility is highly configurable, it can work even when phone is locked (if you wish). I use it to toggle wifi or set bluetooth off, in order to save battery. AEButtonPlus did not identify buttons correctly on the Rhodium, but this one does.

PS: the bluetooth toggle does not work at the moment due to the Rhodium stack, I use the hotkey utility to launch TurnBTOff.exe in \WIndows in order to set BT off.

CSDEVCTRL locks the phone while having a call. So U cannot end your call bevor unlock again ...

This is a setting (I guess it prevents your ear to hang up when touching the screen on some phones), you can put it the way you like (in "Lock Triggers", uncheck "Lock During Call"). You can also set it so that only soft keys are locked.
Well, locked/freeze my phone a couple of times. Personally, not recommended. Don't really works well.
Well, I forgot to say that it does not look compatible with TF3D (I do not use TF3D). It is fully compatible with SPB Mobile Shell. I used it with "WM Today". Sorry !
Also the settings are not so easy to figure out : If you have a foreign Rom (French Orange for me), most important is to write the title displayed in at the top when Unlock Window is shown (Déverrouiller instead of UNLOCK for me)in the Unlock Triggers window, the same with Phone (Téléphone for me) in the Lock Triggers window).
