Hi people,
I have a problem with the phone canvas slider (not tachi phone canvas) with a WM6.5 (my own rom cooked)
When an incoming call happen, an incall popup appears few seconds and after the slider appears. I want to disable this pop up but how ?
I have a second problem : When lockscreen is activated, new sms are not notified (by a ring or vibrate) until the screen is turning on. And when an incoming call happen, it waste some seconds before the phone is ringing, how to short this delay ?

as far as i know HTC phone canvas doesn't work with WM6.5 for now because of that popup/lock screen issue. Best option for now is use the default dialer with a nice skin

OR just don't lock your phone and use standby instead that way you should be able to use the HTC phone canvas + Slide to unlock
as for text messaging and notifications i have same issue where messages and notifications don't make any noise/vibrate until screen is turned on (usually phone is in standby and locked state)
so +1 if someone has a fix for this

For lockscreen, I removed the animation (the slide to unlock) with the cpr files. Now, it's like on WM6.1 with the WinMo locker but it works well with calls or sms.
For the dialer, I finded how to fix the issue when we scroll contacts in the dialer but this popup stay there.
I tried the tachi phone canvas but this popup appears just one time, quickly.
try this cab..i got it from ppc geeks..so no thanks to me just passing it along. Its seeming to work for most people though. I had the problem with a custom dialer, and the original WM incoming call notification bubble pops up. Worked for me...

rishi2504 : with the phone canvas, you need to use patched cprog.exe and tpcutil.dll in order to fix the scrolling issue. Make a cab (with wince or cabarc) or replace it with total commander, resco explorer, ...

Hi,
after installing too many apps this evening i found two problems:
- when i receive a new message a very little windows appears on lower left side of the home windows. This new one probably replaces the extended normal one which appears when a new sms arrives.
- when i set the ring off or vibration mode however the diamond ring but at the max volume. It's crazy !!!
These are the last apps I've installed today before find the problems:
- scorpio16v 4icons_in_row
- jizy HTC Action Screen
- Nadavi HTC Diamond - Improved Connection Manager
- ThumbCal 1.1.2
- dark Phone Pad - International
- Dictmgr
I removed all the apps but the problems persist.
What can i do?
Do you need the list of all applications installed of my Diamond?

i haven't installed those apps yet. have they all been done at once? i can test to see if it is linked to one, but may be tied to a combo of them.

i installed them about at this order:
- Dictmgr (install and removed because i couldn't understand how to use it)
- dark Phone Pad - International (install and removed because unuseful)
- ThumbCal 1.1.2 (install, removed than re-install two day later)
- Ringtone Manager v3.0 (softreset included)
- * scorpio16v 4icons_in_row
- * jizy HTC Action Screen
- * Nadavi HTC Diamond - Improved Connection Manager
* Installed one after the other, then softreset at the end.
As i wrote, i tried to uninstall all apps but the problem persist. I'm not an WM Mobile expert, but i think the problem is not in Manila, but in WM.
This morning i find the allarm doesn't start. Why? I've discovered that after connect the mobile with activesync the sms and allarm rings are shutup...then after a softreset they ring again but at the max volume, is also impossible set the sms ring at the desired volume witch ring at the max volume in any condition and any variation on the phone volume is vain, also the vibration is always off. Instead for the phone call ring and vibrate correctly.

PS. With Resco Registry Editor i tried to find any Word, Key or Strings that can set the size of the popup window but i didn't find anything. I fink the problem is in some dll or exe files (tmail.exe?)

The name doesn't link very good...interception? hum...

I am building a WAD2 theme (an attempt to make a WindowsMobile7 themed GUI that is entirely finge friendly) - I have a notifier for Missed calls - It is also a finger friendly button. Upon touch I would like this to open the Diamond Call History.
I have tried things like VJPhoneShortcuts - It doesn't work, it only opens the dialer but doesn't jump to the call history page. Even tried a few .lnk files of my own. There must be an argument you can add to cprog.exe shortcut (cprog.exe is the phone shortcut) as when you have a Call History tab in TF3D you have the All Calls softkey which takes you exactly where I wanna go - But I cannot find for the life of me anywhere in the phone (registry and all) where the path is ...
Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

there is a problem with WM6.5 roms lock slider:
if a call comes in & the lock is active but the phone is in suspend (power off or manually pressed the power button) the call will show "unknown caller"
you will not see the name until you answer od then you can see it later as missed call
this is annoying as you can not screen the calls & answer/ignore the ones you like
the slider lock will show the name only if the sceen has not turned off yet (did not enter suspend mode yet)
is there any fix out there?
I am thinking if someone knows how to make the screen light dim firest the turn off only (without power off / suspend) then it will work
anyone has a registry tweak to just turn screen off & leave the ppc running without suspend?
or any other fix????
i like to use the wm6.5 lock, i know i can use S2U2 but i prefer this one & hope we can fix it

i use Chobit Company SmartLock and HTC phone Canvas...
HTC phone canvas is first to present ID caller then in communication WM6.5 lock is activate by Suspend mode in communication... because Chobit Smartlock is in use... other i have the same issue like You...
unknown caller with WM6.5 lock when it s suspend mode...
i agree, if anybody knows how to solve this problem... i buy it !

hmm i couldn't get the smartlock to work for me on my xperia
i used CsDevCtrl and it's sorta working... it auto locks my device if the backlight turns off or if i manually put it in suspend mode *power off button* and locks on wake up.... has a bunch of features i'd never use so it's a bit more complex than i'd like. but even with that auto lock i still get the unknown caller... i'll have to read more about htc phone canvas.. i'm not really liking the xperia dialer anyway... never have...
p.s. while we are on this topic of wm 6.5 screen lock... anyone else notice that alarms sometimes don't display the minutes if the phone is locked ? the slider works and everything for snooze and dismiss... but... it just shows the hour of the alarm.. and then dots like "10:...." even though the alarm is for 10:25...? plz post if you are also havin this problem...
again tho.. these problems might just because it's not the offical build yet... these problems may be worked out with an offical release... nothing i can't live with at the momemnt
so i still have no luck with this unknown caller ID issue
i am sure someone knows the registry tweak..as many programs just use screen off
for example media player as you can play music while screen is off
or S2U2 can lock / turn off screen but leave phone working unsuspended

I've noticed this also but if you use a dialer that has its own slide to unlock then it tends to work fine..at least for me anyway..

Hmmm, after showing Unknown for the Caller ID this morning, now the caller ID is showing up on wake. Strange. Only thing I have done was install the sdkcerts cab. I'll test further.

Use a registry editor and go to HKCU\Control Panel\Phone\CalIidMatch value is by default 8, i.e 8 Digits. Change that to 7 and soft reset.
I will test and see if it helps, it used to help w/wm6.1.....

i did not notice that i guess because i did not the alarm with lock screen before
but thanks for pointing it out
i fixed the problem
all what you need is to unzip the attached file..use the 2 files inside to replace the ones in "\windows" folder
i used resco explorer to replace because they are protected windows files
then soft-reset...everything works better after that & shows full clock & am/pm too

the fix was simple & there the whole time and i did not know...
its good...not perfect (should work by itself) but at least now i know who is calling

i have eten rom build 21501 & on other phone 21510 and both have same problem

I tested this out, no help. But the power button trick works...hmmm. I wonder what's going on and why this works?

although i haven't yet had the chance to check since my latest ROM update if it was just the rom or 6.5... but i'll test and reply with results THX AGAIN!
p.s. i wonder if above mentioned power button trick will work with my alarm situation on the lock screen.. willl also investigate!

Yes. I notice that the cuts happen when the video plays (the small arrows to the left and right of the slider) Once that times out, the music is contiuous.

Hi Guys
I am using Iconsoft Phonex as my dialer. Its a super dialer. My problem is it doesnot integrate with the People tab provided on Touch flo. Clicking on the call button in the people tab doesnot initiate a call. It appears to become a dummy if i have Phonex running. I think it is because TF3D doesnt know it needs to use Phonex dialer to initiate the call. I am sure there is some registry key i need to modify to get this working.
Anybody aware of this? Any known fixes available? This would make my phone perfect!
I am on Dutty 3.3 XT ROM.

I'm usingthe stock ROM, PhonEx 1.4 and what you're describing works OK for me. Trying my home landline from TF3D/ People dials home and goes straight into the PhonEx dialling screen. I know that this is no consolation to you at the moment but I would try a complete uninstall and reinstall. HTH.
micken thanks for the reply. I just did an uninstall, reset, reinstall reset... still the same problem... maybe its the rom version i use? i never tried it with the stock rom i had.

One thing.. when you disable phonex, do you get the standard wm dialer working in all its glory? For me the dialer comes back but i cant see the call list in the dialer.. its all blank, though i can dial and make calls and even scroll down the blank list!

It fixes the position incommin call but what about the caller ID??? i guess thats only fixed with the change of the cprog to a working version

My phone canvas fixes scrollbar, keyboard button in softkeybar and incoming call position, also caller id work, but I tested this in 235xx buids and I haven't tested in others builds.
The only thing that should be fixed is call history .
tested your phcanrc and phcanhtc they fixes the button and scroll bar.. incominc al position is ok for me... history is ok for me (ATM) but the caller ID in 23658 LG branch dont works, tried the COM8 cprog on LG branch 23568 and the phone works only for one call then it crash (cant make or receive again a ophone call) so I guess to fix the Caller ID pic and or ID number must have your COM5 cprog.exe.. can you share it please.

I think you have to change not only cprog.exe but also pimstore.dll and tpcutil.dll.
Here are modules from 23569 build. I think also that it's better cooking this files in a rom than overwrite them.
Let me know if these works.

As before... if i change the cprog.exe from COM5 builds to LG branch the phone starts loosing calls, so its not a good fix
lets try the same canvas with a com5 build 23569
+ que ppc there's a complete vga dialer port for wm6.5.x in the tachi phone canvas thread ( i think is the rhodium dialer ) but i didn't find it

So I've added EXSTYLE = 0x02000000 to phcanrc.dll from PhoneCanvas 3.40.33475.0 (from diamond or touch pro), but I still get the scroll bar on dialer screen after a soft reset. If I close the dialer and open it again, the scroll bar is not present (but will show up again the 1st time it is opened after soft reset). I've applied the fix to a Leo_2G_4_2_6212011 phone canvas and it worked as expected, but I am having this problem with the older dialer. Does anyone have any clues as to why this is happening? Thanks.

Yes, I know. I added it to the proper lines according the posts here on XDA. The problem only occurs the 1st time it is opened and will not re-occur until the device is soft reset. I've added the exstyle lines to phcanrc.dll for several dialers (all newer than the one I am having problems with) and have not had this problem.
Hello, all, I am new to editing Phone Canvas and don't know how to fix the keypad icon overlap issue in 6.5.x. Can anyone teach me how to do so or edit the files for me? There are two packages in the attachments, please fix them all. They are all VGA phone canvases.
