basis of a freak ..! would not that mean your phone is off ?? if you mean OFF "was not there anything that ON , such as: display, red or green lights on the phone is not on a" yes you should remove the battery from the phone

Hi. My power button has broken and i use SPB pocket plus to power on and off my xdaII. Is there any other way to get into the bootloader mode so that i upgrade to WM2005 and to hard reset the XDA?

I still can see the button, it also clicks, when pushing it. The black plastic cover (antenna-cover) arround the button is broken.
I fear, that some soldering on the mainboard is broken...

If I press the powerbutton it's not really powered off... for example it however pops up the notifications/alarm etc.

The x51v comes with an app to switch off entirely, through the magic of persistent memory.
A review of the kjam says:
If you hold down the power button for about 4 seconds, the K-JAM will bring up a Yes/No dialog asking if you want to continue with a full power off. If you choose Yes, it will shut the device off completely, meaning it won't use the battery at all.

Holding down the power button on the Jasjar simply turns the backlight off. You need to hold it down again to turn it back on. I did this accidentely the first time and I thought the device was broken for a minute, because it didn't apprear to turn on when I pressed the power button.

Just tried holding down the power button for 20 seconds and it only turned off the backlight. Nothing else.
i just bought a MDA off of my bigsister!! back sticker says WIZA200...probably meaning wizard! ipl/spl describes a g4...tried holding camera and stylus-reset...also, camera, power and stylus-reset!! NO LUCK THOUGH!!PLEASE HELP!!

BETTER STATED ISSUE:
My MDA wont go into the tricolor screen. When it tries to do it, it just turns off. I then have to pull out the battery and put it back in for it to work again. How can I fix this? I want to try a different ROM. Thanks in advance.
Power off the phone completely,then press and keep holding down the camera button and at the same time Power On the phone,you have to keep pressing and holding down the camera button while Power on the phone,release it after it wakes up,hope this'll do the trick.

because before wm5 it would result in clearing of all memory
and after it would result in no alarms or calls or other notifications working

i'm interested, too....don't care of alarm or other notifications, i just want to poweroff the device without pressing power button for 3 sec.
i too would like this but, as Rudegar has said - No it doesn't exist, it's been discussed before on this forum and i think there were some reasons it is not possible

Press and hold the Send and End buttons (green and red ones) and the power button at the same time.. While doing this, press the stylus into the reset hole until the screen resets and the power light comes back on.

Are you pressing the 3 buttons, and then while holding them, pushing the stylus in? I think it's about 5 seconds before it resets, so it takes some time, be patient while holding the buttons and the stylus
