Hello,
I check all information shows that MYTG3g 1.2 has 288 ram. But my phone shows only 192 ram. I have read the thread "MT3G 1.2 w/ 192 MB Ram?".
The internal storage shows only 256mb instead of 512mb.
However, I am wondering is there a tool to show the exact total ram of the phone? Why it only shows 192 ram?
I know my question is quite silly. I really appreciate any of your information.
Thank you.
My phone information is:

Ok so i have a 32B MT3G which is unrooted. The thing is it has 231mb of RAM left which means it has 288MB total RAM so it should be a 32A. My fastboot says its 32B soooooo im really confused......
What you have left is your ROM. Your ram is still 192MB. If you delete all your apps, your RAM will go back up to about 300MB. People have thought that they had the 32A board as well. Common mistake.
nvm got it
Hi,
I have bought a HTC dream yesterday. When I press vol. down + power keys, it shows -
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.0008 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17
Apr 29 2009,2:28:53
But "Android System info" , "Free memory", "Systray Monitor" software show that the RAM is 192MB.
In the "About phone" I can see-
Baseband version- 62.525.20.18H_3.22.20.17
Build number - sapphire-user 1.6 DRC83 14721 ota-rel-keys
Which one is real? How to check the real RAM ?
Since I paid for 288MB RAM version and I want to have 288MB RAM version, so it is very important for me to know ASAP. So that I can claim and change/get refund.
Please help me on this.
From what I heard its true that only 192 RAM is useable of the 280...
The 32b also report to have 192 RAM on the paper, but about 92 is useable only...
So yeah you have a real 32a...
Hi hoping someone can help me, i just recieved a 2ndhand t-mobile Mytouch Fender edition , i got this as it suppossed to have upgraded cpu and mem from the old magic.
I have a few issues weather its really a fender/1.2 - also its already rooted from what i can tell
Recovery says v1.6.2G - shouldnt it be H ?
Fastboot says :-
PVT 32A SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0013
CPLD-13
RADIO-2.22.23.02 - looks like a 32b radio ?
OCT 2009 - these things were released jan 2010 i thought ?
Its running android 1.6
SetCpu overclocks to 576mhz and in info only reports total mem @ 195mb !!
Would like some advise on what you guys think this is before i install any roms, and different recovery images etc cas i think i got done over - hope not
Thanks
if it doesn't have a 3.5mm it is not a 1.2
I believe all fenders are 32B cause it says 32A but the roms dont work , So i did a 32B and they work fine
So I picked up a MyTouch from eBay a few weeks ago and have been toying with Rooting, Roms, etc. I noticed that when I install CM6 (Android 2.2) roms the phone will constantly reboot. I have been installing ROMs for the 32B original MyTouch board b/c when I pull up fastboot I get the information below
Device : SAPPHIRE PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2005 (SAPP30000)
CPLD-10
Radio : 2.22.19.26I
The really strange thing is that the available phone storage is 274MB. Is it possible that the person who sold it to me had put a 32A board (from a MyTouch 1.2) in a original MyTouch body? It still would not explain why fastboot shows a 32B board. I am really confused. How can a 32B board have that much available RAM???
No, that's correct. Both phones have 512mb of ROM for storage. Half of that holds the OS, the rest for your apps. Where they differ is in RAM, this is where the OS and running apps are loaded into to run. The 32B(original myTouch) has 192 mb while the 32A(myTouch 1.2) has 288 mb.
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G using XDA App
Well i can confirm that you have the right radio and spl.
The H or G in the first line er known to changed without cause if you play with spl/radio long enough :0)
Never happened to me though :0)
Ok So I have a Mytouch 1.2 and a Fender and they have been rooted with the goldcard style.
I'm ready to change firmware but dont know which to get It showed I was 32b before the root now its 32A
Do I use a firmware for the original 32B from before root or use 32A for after root.

You have a 32B
So I should use 32B firmware even after the root changed me to 32A, Correct?

You never had a 32A and never will. Yes, 32B.
Let me straighten this out.
The phone is a 32A/32B hybrid. It's a 32B phone with twice the memory as normal 32B devices (equally as much as 32A) so it uses a 32A memory map. Which is why it says 32A. HOWEVER, it requires 32B radios, roms and kernels. Fair warning, unless you design a rom specifically for your device (and the only rom out there is stock) you will NEVER take advantage of that extra ram that comes with the phone because of the different memory map. It's gone, wasted. Because the kernel's that you use are built for devices that have less memory. Kinda like running Windows 7 x86 with 16gb of ram. It runs no different than if you had 4gb of ram. (Poor example but best I could think of.) So you will want to treat it as a 32B otherwise you can break your phone. I would dare to say that at least half of the problems in this forum for people with this device are because they break their phones trying to treat it as a 32A. Don't be one of them!
Thank you i am now informed. I am used to G1's i know there isnt alot different but rather be safe then sorry. Thanks again.

Sure not a problem. Refer to the G1 section for the majority of ROMs to use on your device.
