I have installed Android Froyo on my HD 2 but whenever I restart my phone it goes back Win Mo. Any idea why this is happening?
Seriously? Wow.
Well if you "installed" via HaRET, then its NOT installed, it "booted" ther is not a way currently to write android to nand I belive, and its normal, just run haret when you reboot and you will be back in android ;-)

Sometime I can boot successfully into Android OS but sometime I get green screen ? What causes this problem ??
most of the time its bcoz you haven't started android as soon as you've started. that's the usual reason for irregular gsod. if you've read the threads you'll see if people boot as soon as windows kicks In they don't have sods
so wait I SHOULD have a Android Dual Boot program installed instead of booting up WinMo?
i am using Froyo V1 and I am sure I start to click on Android loader icon each time i load into Winmo..but still it is not consistent ...Wonder why only ?

Look for mskips android launcher in threads it will work fine depending on what build you have
come on, this is known issue for wm mobiles when battery level is too low. I have the same experience of gsod when battery lower than 20%, but over 40% I booted ok.

I have not seen a GSOD since i quit using my 16 GB Class 2 sd card, too slow I think since Android is running off of your sd card. Since I've been using my 8 GB Class 6 card, no issues at all...I am golden! When running Android on my G1 I sometimes saw issues with A2SD when I used a slower card also.
Also, I am not using the dual boot or any other alternate boot app, I am running Winmo and then starting Android from File Explorer.
Well I'm getting these updates option on my Froyo Dakstone build for system software updation, but whenever i start to install these updates the phone reboots and windows OS starts.
After booting Android the same options appear again, is there anyone out there who knows how to get these updates install as Darkstone aint replyin in his thread!!!!!!!!!!!
Those updates aren't meant for the hd2, so it wont work, it'll keep cycling back. Best thing is to find another build here that's based on the Desire OTA update.
I'm not positive but I believe I read that the update does nothing. It attempts to install but fails to install and reboots. You are probably not getting a response on the other thread because I'm pretty sure its been addressed already.
Whoops moon2, you beat me to it.
Yeah, i'm getting this with FroyoStone v2. Downloaded the update, but it will not install, just reboots. I finally gave up. I figure if the update is needed, the devs will just add it to future builds.
I believe the problem is that the HD2 boots to Windows mobile and not the correct Android Rom mode for updates.

Those Ota's are ment for native android phones.
They are not ment for our phones. If they did work they would undo all the mod's that allow us to run android in the first place.
People are really starting to get on my nerves ..... trying to update the OS when its bot the native OS ... bafoons

Your right best thing to do would be to get a mod to close this thread . Obviously op has never read what not to do and then goes around getting mad at darkstone for not replying to his question ....

Well if I'm wrong tell me but depending on what rom you have it can still be on. If you have ram build it gets loaded from the sdcard and moved to ram.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Well that is because all the Android has been previously loaded into the RAM/Memory of the HD2, thats what i think maybe its not that way... but if you removed the SD Card physically while Android is running your device will restart!

no, man. this applies to sd builds, too
Try opening a single app and it will crash...
on execution, they are loaded into ram. as long as nothing new has to be read or written from or to sd (any app or data), it will keep on running.
Hi
Newbie here... I've searched for this Q & A but ' haven't found anyone with this exact problem...
I've just bought an used but barely used HTC HD2 with WM6.5 from a friend of mine.
I wanted to have both Android and WM, so i did install RAFDROID HD 4.2 on my sd. Everything went smooth on the installation, but now i wanted that Android as my default OS. Every time i turn on my HD2, it loads automatically WM. Tried to install [APP] RunDroid-dual boot to Android [SD] or WM6, and even when i select Android as default, it will load WM first...
Anyone can help me?
Thanks
António

Can you help me, giving me a tip on how i do that? (it is mandatory that i maintain WM intact on the phone memory)
well if you want nand android than your WM will be gone.
but you can always reflash it back to WM later.
if you do not want WM to be gone you should maybe try a different bootloader

Right, you should try a different boot loader
try this: multiboot: http://www.mediafire.com/?nssn9v0ijoy3thv
You can install more than 1 android build on SD card.

The HD2 I have has no OS on it at all, is it possible to install one back onto it?

Are you for real?
Yeah I bought it from ebay and I didn't see the part where it said no operating system as I was more interested in the savings I was getting.
Yes, you can install all compatible os' onto your phone
Eg. Android, Windows mobile, Windows Phone 7.
Just follow the guides, but they all basically start with - Hold down the [Vol_Down] button, and turn on the phone. You will see a multi-colour screen, then just flash either a windows mobile os, or magldr/clk then install wp7/android.
