Partial brick? - HD2 General

i picked up a phone lastnight from a friend, he said it quit booting.
i did a hard reset, and it booted fine. i set it up via wifi, all good. i went to restart it, and it stays @ the " stick together" screen. @ the bottom of the screen it also has
R 2.15.50.14
G 15.42.50.11 U
D 3.14.04666 8G
it never go's past that on a reboot.
i flashed the latest oem mu it booted, set up all fine, installd HSPL rebooted, got the above again.
sugestions?

forgot to mention, @ this point there is neither a sd card in it or a sim. does the make a differance?

UPDATE: i ran task 29, no go on first 3 trys.... finaly it seems i got it cleaned out. reflashed stock again, then hard, chucky rom just booted up... now to get it set up, then on to setting up some android goodness so i dont have to deal with win-blows

update: so much for being solved...
i rebooted multiple times last night to make sure it would, all was good.
got up in the am, picked it up and none of the apps would open, sence locked up and wouldnt restart, so i did a soft reset. now its stuck @ the boot screen again....
ive tryed pulling the sd, soft resets, pluging it in, etc.. nothing.
its realy to bad,i had hi hopes for it after talking to guys running android on it.

why not just uninstall hspl and flash stock rom. then call tmobile to replace it.

i bought the phone used from a friend, ie: no warrenty.... as stated in the op.
yesterday afternoon, i ran task29 probably 5 times back to back, pulled the bat, let it sit about 10 min, powered back up, ran task29 a few more times for good mesure, then reflashed. all has been good so far.

Here's a tricky problem, need expertise!! Kind of urgent..

I have read and read and read. I have "bricked" my phone in the past and fixed it. I have used, tested, and flashed many roms from this site (Thanks to all cooks for their work!) but I still consider myself somewhat 'new' to troubleshooting.
I woke up this morning to make some important phone calls today and as luck would have it, my phone was stalled again. It's been doing that for a few weeks now. My last flash was Open Touch 5.0 UL I believe (either that or 5.2 biggy) and it has been working great except for the occasional freeze.
EDIT: Forgot to add, the actual problem is now it won't boot up after it froze this morning. Just sits at the boot screen
So I've tried my other methods of fixing it... /edit
Except this morning nothing is working. I have tried flashing with Orig. T-mobile ruu, tried SD flashing with the RUU_signed.nbh, tried restarting the computer, phone, removing battery and sim... NOTHING! When trying the sd flash (which I've never done before today, it reads and tells me to push the down button but then goes to bootloader screen and just sits there. With the RUU I'm getting err 300 but I'm using the SAME RUU (4.10...) that I've used in the past to reflash my phone AND tried the new one (4.26...)
Possible problem: Does it matter what kind of usb cable you use? I don't have the normal one I use as I am not home but I figured usb is usb...
I've read about it being a motherboard issue, how common is this?
I've read somethings about MTTY, would this apply to me??
Please help, anyone who has any suggestion, I'll try it!!
Stats:
IPL 4.10.0002
SPL 4.10.0000
NOT hard-spl'd
Wing w/ Open Touch Project 5.0 or 5.2
actualy the sd method needs hard spl thats all i can really provide
I appretiate it, that I did not know... I could barely find anything on how to do it even.
im having the same problem bt instead of freezing da screen jus goes different colors or jus goes gray and stays der
Thats basically what mine did. The colors would get messed up and no matter what button i pressed it would not do anything. My advice to you edrift, is BACK UP YOUR STUFF NOW and reflash it asap if you can still reboot. I can get into my phone at all now.
yea i tink i might jus throw my phone away.dis is jus gettin rediculous

Need Help!

Hi everyone,
I have freaking weird problem, I just cant use my phone anymore now.
And totaly have no clue wtf is wrong with it..
Today I got the 29.5 artemis rom, and installed it on my phone, using SSPL method
I've done it before with artemis rom only older version. And everything was working fine.
Well it kinda did the same with this newer rom untill I went to "Microsoft my phone" and it froze, and nothing worked to shut it down, so had to take my battery out and in again, it restarted. After that it froze when I pressed the off button, and after I pressed it again it just froze and didnt want to do nothing..
So after that I did the same again I had to take my battery out, and then in again.
So now it just dont want to pass the second "HTC" screen with RGD numbers on it.
So I tried to install the rom from my PC via the bootloader, and it gives me update error after a while watching in htc screen with 0% update on it..
SOMEONE HELP!?
I ******* want to smash the phone in piecess..
what phone you got?is it a tmous?
Try a reset it normals resolves this type of iss - or a factory reset
Well, the issue it freezes at that second screen and normal reset aint working, tried hard reset several times still nothing. Freezes at the second screen.
And I use eropean version of the phone. Dunno what tmous is tho.
Gonna try to get HSPL on it, Task 29 format see if it will do somehting

Edit
------
I think I got it working now, its been formatted succesfully, and now its installing the rom on the phone, hope it wont freeze at the same point (keeping the finger crossed)

About to destroy my HD2 (Need help)

This phone has been giving me hell for a really long time.
In short; it don't work. It will flash but will never boot right.
When I got my HD2 it had the stock WinMo 6.5.3 ROM that worked perfectly. I played with booting Android off my flash drive but got the fast audio problem. So I flashed ChuckyDroidROM, and used that for a month with some different Android builds, all worked fairly well.
But then one day, it started crashing after a while of use. Sometimes it would just not let me unlock it, and other times it completely crashes and restarts. Every time it happened earlier and earlier after booting.
So I tried Task29 and putting the stock ROM back on it, no go. It crashes right after it boots.
Now I've flashed HSPL 2.08.HSPL, Radio 2.15.50.14, and MAGLDR 1.12. I'm trying to flash WP7 to it, but since the MAGLDR menu doesn't show up, I can't flash anything.
It boots into MAGLDR, but just shows "aMAGLDR V1.12, Build: 12 2011 XX:XX:XX, by Cotulla 2011" but nothing else. The menu doesn't show up, but it did once....
Any ideas? I'm desperate. I'm about to blow it up....
EDIT: Now it won't even f**king turn on!!!! And yes the battery is FULL
I'm having an issue with my HD2 also (even though I've flashed it successfully several times) so this sounds like a very, very isolated issue. The problem I'm having - disabled phone functions in WP7 - also appears to be an isolated issue. Sometimes these things can be the result of a bad flash. Give this thread a week. You're in the right place.

When your rebooting and the splash screen shows up are you holding down the power button to gain access to magldr options?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Did you took out your SD card? If no, take it out, try turn it on. If you can reach the boot (means the multicolors menu) than your good to flash.
I have the feeling that might be because of damaged SD card (similar issue I had). Hope that helps.
Good luck!

Yes I am. It showed up today, and I was able to flash WP7 to the device, but now it will not boot into WP. It freezes at MAGLDR, no options.

I can flash anything I want, it just never boots, or it boots and then crashes immediately. I have tried with and without my SD card/SIM card.
Wow it seems as if your doing every thing right. My suggestion is, Re-flash the stock Rom that came with the phone, Revert back to the original radio and spl. Call your sevice provider for a replacment phone as it sounds like its defective. Thats what i would do.

Go into Bootloader Flash a Stock Rom.
Then Update the Radio
Format SD -.- but backup your Data
and try to reflash MAGLDR
After that try to reflash Wp7 it should work
New developement:
It won't turn on, period. Nothing.
The power button does nothing, the reset button does nothing, nothing works.
The battery is at 4.1V, it's rated at 3.7V, would that cause the phone to not turn on?
Maybe a hardware failure.
Any warranty?
This happens when the phone over heats dont turn it for a while and dont have it conect it to the computer or anything when u try turn it on.

Freeze during flash

Hi, I just spent an hour researching this, but to no avail. So....
I bought today an HD2 of CL and it had Android Gingerbread installed. I entered bootloader and say that it had HSPL 2.08 installed so I tried to install WM 6.5 Stock ROM 3.14. It started flashing but at 8% it froze. I let it sit for about half an hour and it did not do anything. I unplugged it and took out battery. After I restarted it it said that the last flash failed and to try again. I plugged it in and tried again, but after I start flashing the phone vibrates seven times and stops at 8% again. On teh side note it seems that the phone is not charging as the redlight does not come on when I plugged it in.
It seems that I cannot enter the bootloader anymore as when I start the phone it goes into the "Flashing failed..." screen.
I am not sure what to do at this point, so I thought I would check before I destroy the phone any further. Thank you for your advice and sorry if I did not research enough.
It looks as if you have been sold a broken 2nd hand device. The vibrates usally means there is something wrong with the motherboard or processor. It would return it and ask for your money back!
yea i agree with the above, get your money back if poss.
Also, sticking at 8% (or 9 or 10) is a hint that the radio is stuck. if you ever get an sd card flash to start, look out for 'radio rsa fail' error.

T-Mobile HTC HD2 boot loop

Ok so I mean I wanna say i'm proud of myself for getting as far as I did. I had a HD2 running on a NRG Energize rom. The touch screen was unresponsive so I got that fixed at a repair shop. Then it was having a problem booting and kept going thru this boot loop showing me NRG Energize over n over. I tried to run the t-mobile upgrade to the 3.14 but it got stuck at 8% and wouldn't go passed that. I ended up doing the extraction thing when u rename the nbh file to leoimg and got the phone to run the upgrade from that. I thought all my problems would be solved but the phone started up and as i was setting up my e-mail and stuff it froze and restarted. now its stuck on this stick together boot loop... I don't know what to do next, all i'm trying to do i get this phone working even if its at a stock capacity. Any thoughts i should do now?
So what i'm getting from searching the forums so far is that when i get back to the phone i should check the battery pins? can anyone confirm this? Cause the phone starts up but it'll freeze and reboot or just hit the bootloop from the time i turn it on. keeps stopping.
Yea battery pins should be the first check.
