Wrong section pal.
I just switched from the HTC Desire to the HD2 and installed android on it.
I compared the two phones and I noticed that when I click on a button of my desire the screen will turn on instantly. On the HD2 however, when I press a button first of all the backlight goes on but only shows a black screen, then after 1-2s my lockscreen finally appears.
I think theres a problem with my HD2, but did someone also noticed this or could compare his HD2 to another android phone? I hope there is some sort of fix for that although it doesnt seem like a common problem
thank you

reboot
try rebooting your HD2 a few times, this might fix it
As far as I'm aware it's a problem with all Android ROM's on the HD2. I have used WP7 and have got none, but then with Android ROM's I get it.
Well that was before my phone bricked itself.
Why don't you flash Task 29, before Android Rom.
Hello to all of you! I'm not new here, and not newbie in flashing/roms/ etc....
But, i am worried about one thing.
Is there any fix for this touch screen lag/bug issue on htc hd2 running almost every android rom.
My touchscreen gets stuck for 10 seconds or something, and doesn't respond at all.
Please, do anybody know what i am talking about? And more i use my device, more it get "stuck".
Please, anybody know what to do about that?
Please, anybody
"Stuck"
You need to elaborate I think. You mean that the system is lagging? Or do you mean that the system is running but your touch inputs are not being read? Or do you mean that multi touch is buggy, as in when you put your two fingers vertically/horizontally aligned to one another, the multi touch is inaccurate.
Either way try flashing a different rom/radio or both.
aww, i have this issue, that system is working, but no touch screen. But i've figure it out how to prevent this. Just disable auto rotate.
Hey everyone my HTC HD2 got the Non-Responsive screen problem a week ago, & did a lot of research and found out that it was most likely a hardware problem with a cable..... So a lot of people would tell the people with the problem that the "Touch Screen Digitizer" is dead (like the cable), or it needs to be cleaned... pretty well go out and buy a new one... BUT I have never found evidence that someone has done this and it has successfully "cured" their HTC HD2 Non-Responsive touch screen problem...
So I was looking for anyone on the forums that could confirm this is a solution or give me any tips on what I should do.... AND no I don't have enough money to get a new phone, nor do I live in the USA so I can't send it in to fix it...
This is what I was going to buy for it:

Thanks for taking the time to read my Thread, its much appreciated!! I hope I can find a fix!!
PS: If anyone wanted to know what it looks like out of curiosity I posted 3 pictures with RED circle HIGHLIGHTING the problem when I try to touch something....
I really want to know this as well, because my phone is basically unusable at this state. I can get into it maybe 2 or 3 times a day, if i really try (locking and waking up the screen over and over until it becomes responsive). I don't want to buy a new digitizer if it isn't going to fix it, but i would gladly buy one if it will fix it. If you try it, and it does work for you, send me an email at [email protected] .
Anyone with any other information on this please help us out, there is a surprisingly small amount of info on this issue, considering how many phones were affected.
screen
I have read some threads on the power button being the cause. Try pressing it several times. Once you get the screen operating go to the market and get screen off app and a reboot app. Place them on your home screen toolbar. I use adw and it has an extra hidden toolbar if you swype down and then up on toolbar and up then down to close it. Either way you do it is fine. This keeps you from pushing the power button which has been discovered to be the problem. Hope this helps. I haven't had the problem, but seeing that it's happening more often I use these apps to keep from using power button unless needed to boot into magdlr.

Thanks for the help, yeah I havee seen that problem and I think that is my problem as well.... I am going to get a T5 Torx Screwdriver am pop open to see if I can maybe fiddle with the cable to get it to work again.... if it doesn't i might get a new digitizer or just have to go back to my old phone and save some money for a new smart phone
I have http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951 on my hd2 and theres an option in cynogenMod settings > input > long press home settings that lets you change the action that happens when holding down the home key. Just set that to "screen off."
Hi,
Hope somebody can walk me thru on fixing issues on my HTC HD2 with American Android. It always crashes or my the screen turns blank when the phone is on standby. I have to set the screen or light to come off after 30minutes and so i can touch the screen again so it does not come off. I just dont want to overuse the battery and keep re charging. I hate the fact that when the screen comes off, i have to do battery pull out then turn it back on to windows then boot to android which gets a little frustrating.i wish i can just get rid of windows software and just stick with android once the phone is turned on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Consider a different ROM, I have no experience with the ROM you are using, But I expect it works very well for most.
There is a great choice, and providing you follow the instructions should work well for you
Don't forget there are 2 different types of HD2 and the ROM's are slightly different for each type
