Have you tried a soft reset?
Have you tried realigning the screen?
What have you done to your device recently? Flashed any new Roms?, Installed any apps? Played with registry? If anyone is going to be able to help you, you have to give us some information. What ROM are you using?
Hi Thanks for the reply..
I had tried aligning the screen and it got stuck there.
After a bit of googling, I was able to get past the align screen using Remote screen align, but my screen stopped responding to screen taps. Strangely I don't have any problem activating and rotating the cube.
I'm using the original Rom..
RUU_Elf_DOPODASIA_WWE_1.17.707.2B_4.1.13.46_02.97.90_BLUE_Ship
My phone is just lying useless now... other than recieving calls, couldn't do anything.
Please let me know if u need more info
You didn't answer all of the questions from my last post. If you hadn't done anything to your device and all it did was suddenly stop responding, perhaps your screen is faulty now and needs replacing. I don't know what else it would be personally, but feel that I may not have enough experience to be able to help you further.
Hey guys have used search high and low, and cant seem to find the answer to my current problem, i just recently bought a jasjam, and i love pretty much everything about it, but when the ROM was changed the owner said that the touch screen stopped working. Apparently it was fine before the change, but that it didnt work after. So i figured that it was a software issue, loaded the latest SPL, and relaoded another ROM on the pda. Now the toush screen still doesnt work, but i have noticed that you can tap the screen when asked to get to calibration screen, and tapping the screen will also turn the back light on, but i am unable to calibrate the phone touch screen after the initial tap.
i have since loaded remote screen calibrator, and skip calibrate, and the phone seen to run well, except for the touch screen, on that note i have noticed also that the touch screen will accept one tap when loaded to the today screen, then stop working, i have hard reset, soft rest, changed to latest SPL, and the latest ROM from the forum.
Could it still just be a dodgy touch screen, or does it sound like a software prob to you guys, thanx heaps for the time
Trix
Hey guys have had a look round the web, and i get the feeling that perhaps the touch screen driver is screwed and was wondering if there is a way of checking, by replacing just the touch screen driver? i have placed a number of different ROMs on the phone and none of them make any difference to the non working of the touch part.
if someone could let me know if i am wrong in my thinking please let me know
thanx heaps
peace Trix
Anyone?
thanx in advance

Hey there. I have an ancient HTC Touch P3452, running Windows Phone 6.1. When I remembered about it, I tried to start it up, hoping to flash Android onto it. But for some reason, the touch screen doesn't work. It used to work like anything back in '11, and it can't be broken when kept in a drawer. The screen's got kind of dark patches on it. Is it repairable?
PS: I haven't tried resetting it, 'cause I don't know how, and Google won't help.
hello people, I lve had my nexus 4 for a while now, never experienced any problems with it on 4.3 neither with 4.4.2, just the overheath thing when browsing websites and such, but recently ive been getting this unresponsive touch in the middle that's not letting me send messages or organize the apps on my main page, I'll explain a little below.
When I slide my finger from top to bottom, just in the middle of the screen my touch seem to go slower and then it like makes a jump and won't recognize the touch in one part, that happens all along the middle of the screen is not just a blind spot, when I write a message and try to send it with the keyboard open, it won't let me touch the "send" bottom I have to minimize the keyboard to be able to send it because the bottom is just in the area where my touchscreen is not working correctly.
I downloaded multi touch tester to verify my touches and I found out that if I make a touch in the middle where I have my issue, the multi touch is recognizing 2 touches at the same time, I'll upload the picture to show how is it recognizing my touches in that specific area.
I'm actually using stock nexus 4 with stock KitKat 4.4.2, I haven't root or anything ever, is the first time I have issues with this phone in the touchscreen, I've also been experiencing some touchscreen freeze where I can't touch anything because it won't work and I have to lock screen and unlock it again for it to start working again.
what I have already done?
I have restart my.phone a couple of time and won't work
i have factory reset it and won't work
I have full charge it with USB and laptop and won't work
and that's about it, I'm sure is a software issues because my phone hasn't drop or anything it just started random and sometimes the phone start to work correctly with no issues but most of the time its not working properly and is frustrating.
PD: sorry for my bad English, not native speaker.
well is not letting me post pictures cus I'm new.

I am facing the same problem. You got any fix for this? Please help....
If you've already did a factory reset I doubt it's a software issue. However you can use one of the guides here explaining how to flash a clean stock factory image. This is the last solution that will eliminate any software sided failure.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app
I am also facing the exact same problem for the past two days, My phone is in perfect condition, not dropped or anything like that.
I think I did some google play updates which where pending for long time.... Do not know what is causing this.
Anyway have started to uninstall the app updates manually, lets see.
A flashing will rule out all software issues. Check whether the touchscreen is working. Enable developer options, then select "Show pointer touches" and the other one just below it (too lazy to check up and tell you what it is; pardon me )
If you're getting normal touch response over the entire screen, then you're facing a software issue. Anything else implies a hardware issue; this may or may not fix itself (somehow; gremlins.)
In either case, let us know what happens. Cheers!

I'm having the exact same issue & tried what you just said. Unfortunately, I'm not getting touch response in one center row of the screen, for that entire row, no resppnse at all.
Is this the problem with touch screen?

Say goodbye to that display. I have to get my display replaced too (clumsy fingers grumblegrumble) and the LG guys say the display unit costs 3750 rupees to replace... Get it done ASAP.
Greetings!
If it is a software issue try re-flashing the stock factory image might as well work

Hi all,
My D802 seems to be giving up the ghost at the moment. Current problem is a delay of about a second between me pressing the screen and it detecting the touch.
It's not just a straightforward lag though, if I don't hold my finger on the screen long enough, it doesn't seem to notice that I've even pressed anything, and once it has detected the touch I'm free to swipe around as normal again. Until I take me finger off the screen and then I'll have the same problem again with the next touch.
Reading this back, it's a terrible explanation of the problem but I'm hoping somebody knows what I'm on about and has some ideas. It sounds like software rather than hardware to me, is there anyway to uninstall and reinstall something. Last resort would be a factory reset but I'd rather something a little less drastic if anyone has any thoughts.
Thanks in advance
James
Stock rom or any other?
I read on some topics persons that lost the touch after flashing some specific rom.

Stock.
The digitizer is a cheap replacement rather than an original part but, as I said, the fact that everything works fine once you've held your finger on the screen for a second or two would suggest that's not the issue
