HTC Clock Screen for Windows...anyone seen this yet? - Droid Incredible General

I found this website looking for a SharePoint connector for Outlook, and found this program that puts the HTC Clock on your desktop. It's pretty sweet! So if I can't look at my Inc all the time at work, I can look at the clock at least!
I did not create this, or have anything to do with this program, I was just browsing and saw it pop up at this website.
HTC Clock for Windows

I've been using this since August. I love it.

+1 on this.

Nice! Is there a calendar widget like this? Would be cool to sync my Google cal....

Weather Program

Hi everyone,
Just got my Cingular 8525 the other day (upgrade from my Wizard). So far so good but I'm looking for a program that lets me see my local weather when connected with my WIFI. I've searched the web and forums but have only been able to find paid ones.
Are there are free ones out there?
Thanks in advance.

This is, in my opinion the best one out there, you can specify radar maps (.jpgs)
for your local area, many different icon sets, very customizable.
Thanks, I'll check it out!
i love this one

Doh! didn't check out you're link... looks like the OP has found a winner.
Hrmm.... I'm looking for something that's free if at all possible.
The second one only seems to support cities for the US. I live in Canada so that didn't help. Thanks for your efforts though
EDIT: Weather Watcher seems to be the winner!
weather apps
I don't know any freeware weather app, but for me the bests are from sbsh and spb
The first one lets you customize the weather sources,
The other has a nice graphical interface and lets you to download (and create anmations) images from webcams
greetings to all
Weather Watcher seems to be the only PPC Weather Forecast freeware, and it is really clean and usefull... But no today screen integratin.

FYI: Mike Singer, the developer, is extremely responsive to requests. WW PPC is not his first priority, but he does answer any and all email.

Need weather...

I'm looking for a weather program for my XV-6800. I don't want something that adds weather to the today screen, but something that shows it seperately.
Any ideas?
Here's a great program, and it's free:

im just the opposite, I want some that adds something to the today screen. I use weatherpanel, but I'm looking for something new to use, that actually gets updated now and again. I like how I can make weatherpanel use small icons and get a 7 day outlook easily.

Changing Default Calendar

I've installed Thumbcal on my HD and it's my preferred calendar. How do I make this the default calendar application? ie enable access from the Touchflo home screen. I know I've seen an app somewhere which sorts this out for you but can't for the life of me remember where I've seen it.
Cheers

The new version 1.2.5 now overrides Manila TF3D and sets Thumbcal as the default application. Otherwise it's a search 100's of pages, install 3rd party app, uninstall 3rd party app, hack registry etc... etc.....
Or someone just might have the answer below ........??

Try vjbrisk, it will do the trick with any app/calendar.
This did the trick for me and thus I added it to wiki

Thank you very much guys. Sorted.
That's great, I wanted to do this with Pocket Informant.
Only problem is, if I check tasks and then come back and click on a calendar item on my home page, it opens PI to tasks still? I linked to the pocketinformant.exe file. Is there a direct exe for the calendar itself?

Think it will help you. (I used 3$ to get me today view which seems logical from Touchflo3d)

X1's Calender is awful

I really find it un-user-friendly
Im always going week-day-month-year over and over again.
can anyone suggest something decent please?
standard windows mobile. and i have to say .. its ba far the most powerfull calender i met. works basicly exactly like the outlook one does.
whats the problem???
I find Pocket Informant to be the best. Worth the money!
I've found SBSH Calendar Touch to be the best for light usage, pocket informant has many more advanced features though.
Can pocket informant preset reoccuring events so i dont have to enter starttime, endtime, category ect. everytime?

well i find its not very easy to navigate. for example if im looking for when my mates wedding is and i know its in january, i have to go through all the dates, when im wrong, then press day week month 3 times to get back to month try again....
i just do not find it user-friendly at all. i think the calendar on my old w810i was much better.

You can just choose the month or other look from the menu, without pressing all over again.
I'm happy I can have so many views.
IT IS one of the best calendars out there.
BTW if you look for somethin', just use Search app.
Get ThumbCal. It's seriously good stuff! Looks good too.

I think you can still find the free version of thumbcall .(it`s an old version but it works fine on the xperia try freeware site)
Still haven't found a decent free one. I just don't feel like paying a lot for a function that should be good in the first place.
depends on the point of view ... i like it alot and dislike most of the other calenders which are available.

Yep. You can use oggsync to sync google calendar with your winMO calendar. It works like a charm. never had any trouble with it.
I have many reoccurring events like soccer practices and my job (only in the weekends) and it handles those perfectly.
In an attempt to turn this topic into something a bit more informative;
Here's the summary of beforementioned calendar applications, these are all paid.
- Pocket informant
- Thumbcal (personal favourite)
- SBSH
- Google calendar
---
Now my problem is that these all cost 15~30 bucks which is just a bit too much imo.
Thing to keep in mind that they must be able to work with WVGA.
Who knows some more nice calenders we can try out?

[REQ]Can anyone here build widget?

Hello, everyone.
I have a nice thoughts calendar (Not digital, physical one) which has thoughts for all 365 days of the year. I would like to see those thoughts on my Android devices. Can anyone make widget which displays that day's thought on the my home-screen? I can create a document of all those thoughts.
EDIT: I would like if it worked just like HTC's daily challenge widget. Tweaking the same widget to display a thought corresponding to the day would do the job.
(REQ)
If any widget builder comes across here
I would like a Whatsapp widget in the styleof the messegaes widget in etc sense! (the first with the white pices of paper you can scroll through)
Sure, what's in it for me?
