Would this show that an ext partition has been created successfully with ROM Manager?
also what type of EXT partition does rom manager create?
Sorry for making a useless thread, its just I need an answer
Edit - does the sizes look right for an 8gb partition?
It's a realy small image, kinda hard to tell.
Question:
Bigger picture plz?
How big is the MSD card?
How big did you make the partition?
It would appear so as windows doesn't recognise ext2 and the second partition isn't visible.
Its 8gb Card
total usable memory - 7.40gb
Total space fat32 - 6.92gb
presumed ext partition - 489mb
I made the EXT - 512mb and 0mb swap
That seems about right...
cool. tar pal

I purchased a 2GB TopRam MiniSD Card for my 8125 Wizard. However, the storage card size is showing up as 1949.59 MB. Is it normal to have 50 MB's missing? Am I supposed to format the card so that it shows 2000 MB free space? Just kind of puzzled here.
Don't worry! that's normal!
like this mine...1gb but 978mb only! same as your PC harddisk!
my PPC...

The advertised capacity is taken in a decimal system rather than a binary based system. This means that you loose 24bits per KB, 24KB per MB, 24MB per GB, etc. when you purchase any kind of storage, from flash to hard disks it is all the same.
Hi
for the second time, my mp3 files has been deleted and I see nothing when I open the Music folder from my phone..
but when I connect the device using "Disk Drive" connection, I see large files (some of them are 2 GB size and bigger ) and they are currupted, I can't delete, rename, move them !
however, the free memory still like before the problem happens,,
in the first time, I had to format my sd card..
I'm not ready to format it again because it takes alot of time to refill the card with files

waiting for your help
I have seen this issue with my HTC Touch Elfin. I can't delete these huge files via activesync as well, but I can delete them by directly putting the SD card on a regular memory card reader on desktop/laptop Windows.
The only suspect was the files corrupted whenever the HTC Touch hang and have to remove battery to soft reset it.

* Also sorry that i didn't manage to remember to tell the community that i was having WP7 previously and flashed the DFT nand android
ok solved, i formated the sd card with this tool EASEUS Partition Master 7.1.1 Home Edition it had 7 gb unlocated space so i deleted it and reformated it
I just installed Cyanogenmod 12 the other day, runs fantastically on my L720
I noticed my total storage space was lower than normal... (16GB model.)
Ran Terminal "df" command to view partition info and saw this:
Looks like I have duplicate partitions?

This is what my storage available looks like in settings:
Is there a way to restore my partitions to original and regain my storage space?
Your storage looks normal to me.
Shouldn't total space be closer to 16GB?

After the OS installs that's about all you get.
Put an SD card in there.
Thanks guys. Already using a 32GB as card.

I have samsung galaxy grand 2.
I don't know as advertised it should have 4-5 GB available for apps but it doesn't have that rather memory is wasted in useless partitions which apps never use for storing data.
and Hence only 1GB is available for data which consumes up in 4-5 apps.
Is there a way to repartition my phone. I suspect that my phone may be A+ copy but i can't find it because internal hardware is same as written on gsmarena.com
I have attached data fractions from terminal.
"I know there are softwares to sent data to sd card all that thing but i need how i can get my 4.5 GB at least for data"
