I purchased a 2GB TopRam MiniSD Card for my 8125 Wizard. However, the storage card size is showing up as 1949.59 MB. Is it normal to have 50 MB's missing? Am I supposed to format the card so that it shows 2000 MB free space? Just kind of puzzled here.
Don't worry! that's normal!
like this mine...1gb but 978mb only! same as your PC harddisk!
my PPC...

The advertised capacity is taken in a decimal system rather than a binary based system. This means that you loose 24bits per KB, 24KB per MB, 24MB per GB, etc. when you purchase any kind of storage, from flash to hard disks it is all the same.

Not at all, in fact in that same post that you grabbed the screenshot out of I even explained it. I'll explain it again here, Anandtech did their preview and saw this, what it is is, you have 2 gb for application storage, then 11 gb for media. Then you can plug in another card and expand further.
I don't intend to be snarky, but there is a virtue in reading through a thread in case something has been covered.

I mean what they r,what they do??
vm heap size mean maximum memory which can be used by your single (dalvik only) application. setting too low some app may not working properly, setting too big will limit number of running applications.
swap mean virtual memory, make system memory virtually bigger. but it will mess android build in memory manager, slow down phone, drain battery, and make sdcard lifetime shorter.
Thanks bro
The Nexus 7 8GB seems to have (according to screenshots) about 5,9 GB space free for Apps/Media after loss due to formatting and the android system.
Can any1 provide evidence on how much space the Nexus 4 really has left for free use? (screenshot e.g.). I guess for at least 5,5 GB but i would like to be sure before buying.
//EDIT: Screenshot of Nexus 7 http://www.phonearena.com/image.php...memory+and+no+micro+SD+card+slot"&kw=&popup=1
The Nexus 4 has 5.67GB available memory.
The image is attached to confirm this.

I also have 5.67GB of Total Space
I have samsung galaxy grand 2.
I don't know as advertised it should have 4-5 GB available for apps but it doesn't have that rather memory is wasted in useless partitions which apps never use for storing data.
and Hence only 1GB is available for data which consumes up in 4-5 apps.
Is there a way to repartition my phone. I suspect that my phone may be A+ copy but i can't find it because internal hardware is same as written on gsmarena.com
I have attached data fractions from terminal.
"I know there are softwares to sent data to sd card all that thing but i need how i can get my 4.5 GB at least for data"

Plz Help
Reflash ur stock rom and format ur internal sdcard. It worked for me
Hello,
I bought a TV Box android called Spider Red 60, it's good, but after installing a few apps, it has become slow and sometimes does not respond and reboot on its own. It says on the package that it has 4GB Ram and 64GB Storage. I used a few apps to see its information, all of them say it has 2GB and about 16GB storage.
The system information shows that it has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. What are the real Ram and Storage values for the box? Can the manufacture put fake values in the system storage information page?
Regards,
