Hi Guys,
I am using rooted Samsung Vibrant and always facing issues while connecting to market and other apps (related to google account).
Can someone please guide me on how to re-install these apps?
Regards,
Nikhil
If all you did was root then I doubt the apps are what's causing your problem. Do you notice this issue at any particular time? Like are you at home or work when this happens?
I have a dinc with imui rom and if i dont clear the data befor install, it starts fine but I dont have a phone app or conact app. The reason I dont want to clear data before install is I want to keep apps and also keep my progress in games I play (mainly angry birds) Aren't the phone and contacts apps system apps? So why does it matter if clear data? How can I fix this so I can use this rom I really like it and want to use it, but its worthless without a phone. help! thank in advance!
I guys i have a lot of data syncing and bandwidth hungry applications on my phone, Concerned about going over your monthly data plan because of cap, and they r constantly using my data, i tryed to instal use Droidwall app and Hisurfing, but they just can`t work in rooted phone, and have a Desire HD that is not rooted, i want to know if there is other app that i can control my data syncing just for specific app that works in non rooted phone. thanks
I had a similar issue. My only solution was to uninstall apps to see which ones were not data hungy. When I isolated the "data hungry" apps, I could modify the settings or uninstall them. I assume your apps should have an option to sync only when on wifi.
The "firewall" sounds interesting, but it does not address the root cause.
Good luck
is because most applications i have are using temporarily the internet and need to control which software should use my data gprs,
i know that a lot of people want the same..
Is There any other way?....developers?
There are a few Apps on the market for this. One is called droidwall and there. are others also
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
droidwall is only for rooted phones, since i an trying to avoid the hassle of rooting my DHD i am also looking for a similar app, not only for reducing my Net use but also for making sure dodgy apps do not broadcast my information all over the net.
is there any one that can point us to an app that doesn't require root like the one suggested by the previous poster?
i would be really grateful
Hi,
May i know what is the list of applications to uninstall/disable for SM-G900F (S5) ? Cause i see that there are a lot of default apps in it... and they seem pretty useless to me so i am not sure if uninstalling it might cause problem for the phone..
And this is a noob question, i see that 'Google search' uses the most data for my phone so i was wondering if i could stop/uninstall the feature.. o.o or if there are other ways to do it..
Thank you.

There are quite a few existing threads that answer all of your questions.
Search for "bloat" or "debloat" regarding apps safe to remove. Or just see what was removed in the description of a custom ROM e.g. the S5 Phoenix ROM.
And there have been threads on taming Google now to conserve battery and reduce data use. Look in my post history if a regular search doesn't easily find them for you.

Hey guys and girls, you know there are some apps that will not work with Rooted Phones.
Iam from Germany and want to start a TV Receiver app "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.telekom.entertaintv.smartphone"
It says "not wokring on rooted phones"
I have test RootCloak (with and without Xposed) and some Root Hide apps. Nothing work.
Other people have same problems with other apps like banking apps.
Anybody here you have ideas what we can do. I think there are many people they need help.
When you are rooting your phone, you are breaking the android security model.
There is a pretty good reason these apps do not work on a rooted phones. There is a way around that, but you have to google it.
I don't think people understand what they are doing to their phones when they root them.. but everybody has their own opinion and I don't expect (neither want or care) to change it.
how about next time posting this is the Q&A Thread !!! it's not your first post so you should know by know this definitely the wrong place for your questions...
There are nicer ways to come across when pointing that out. Just sayin...
Buy another new phone then, that should be work

Not sure if this will help you, but I had the exact same problmen with "google play movies" when I tried to stream a movie it would display an error message and streaming stopped. (this has been an issue since I rooted my old S4)
Try deleting (with root browser or ES explorer) "liboemcrypto.so" file under /system/vendor/lib , then reboot and thry your app again, this worked for me.
Don't forget to hit thanks if this was helpful, cheers!
That's not working but thanks.
