[Q] Mytouch 3G Fender BEST ROM??

Hey im new to the forum and hacking phones. I was wondering what the most stable and best rom for the mytouch 3g fender is? i currently have cynaogen with 2.1 i really want 2.2 but cant find one that is good that works with everything. i really need my bluetooth and camera to work.

Assuming that your using Cyanogen 5.0.8-DS then the last guy was right, you've got the best one.

T-mobile us builds

I know most builds are not tmous compatible, but can we have some builds just for tmous usa only?
I see one so far.... can we have the fix for mms blurry issues and size. Ty for your time!!

I agree. if there are more builds for tmobUS, I think it may help solve mms and data connection freeze. But we are still very appreciative of their current builds.

I have tried probably almost every build on this forum.
They are all compatible. I am currently using Darky's newest build with excellent results.
Before that it was Mdeejays Evo; which I may go back to.
With all due respect; Give it a break. Do the research. There are many threads about how to resolve minor issues such as you describe.

I have no problems with most builds, but I did try the one tmous build recently available and it drained my battery faster than a drunk drains a pint. I had a full battery and a few hours later the phone shut down from lack of juice. That was a first.

every build ive tried is compatible not perfect but close enough tried every radio till I found the best that worked for me the only one I had trouble with is the one your using i'm gonna try again now an hd2 is an hd2 russian,uk,german,etc builds all worked you may want to tune your radio until they can stabilize ppp.

Not only that, but CMYLXGO released a tmous compatible build before you made this thread. Please do some research before you make a post like this. And, remember the cooks are doing this for free. They're just sharing something, if you don't like it, or it doesn't work the way you want it to, learn how to customize it; or make your own.

You can patch any build , or download patched build

once i get more time and somebody actually helps me properly set up my dev environment, you'll be seeing more T-Mo US builds from me.
The whole lack of building from code is what has stopped me from doing further work.

I don't know what you guys mean US-compatible builds. AFAIK, only the APN is what should make it compatible, and, if that's the case, then all that's needed is for you to put cyanogen's APN list inside Android/root/system/etc on your SD so that it gets written to the system and make most APNs available.

Look in the development sub forum.
Be very careful...the specific version of ClockworkMod Recovery you use for backup, restore, and flashing MATTERS. Read. Thoroughly.

If Cyanogen doesn't WOW you. Nothing will. It's the fastest/smoothest on the market.

Umm, are you looking for, like, a different OS entirely for your phone or something?

There are so many ROMs for the Glacier right now it's kinda ridiculous! Check out Tiger013's Resource Bible. It's stickied in the development forum.

Been using iced 1.6 for a while now its been the best rom in my own opinion.its clean,runs smooth and its not over done.

A ridiculous number? Cyanogemods, Iced Glacier, eVil's MIUI/DHD/Z/G2, Gorillasense/MIUI, several gingerbread flavours.
I suppose another question would ask for greater elaboration on the differences between ROMs.

I have GorillaSens DHD-MT4G- v2.2.3
any sugestions

Maybe hes referring to a different UI, since i think all these roms practically look the same. A completely distinguishing new look would be nice

if that's the case then MIUI is the way to go... a mash up of iOS and Android, the look of iOS but the functionality of Android

Best/newest ROM for mt3g

So I rooted my phone using donjuans guide. I believe I have cyanogen 5.0.8.
While its nice I don't like the 2.1 android deal. I liked the 2.2.1 on here(OEM).
After browsing these forums I've seen mainly Ginger yoshi and cyanogen. Could someone compare the 2 for me? Is 2.3 worth it? How easy is it to go from one to the other.
I'm a noob to this business but not an idiot so hopefully I wont be much of a bother to the xda gods.

Well Scooby, you might have good luck with the panache radio. Try it out. Before you ask for a link, try searching. People around here don't like it when folks aren't afraid to search.

you have to find that out yourself. personally, i think the panache radio works best, but each phone is different.
