Look in the development sub forum.
Be very careful...the specific version of ClockworkMod Recovery you use for backup, restore, and flashing MATTERS. Read. Thoroughly.

If Cyanogen doesn't WOW you. Nothing will. It's the fastest/smoothest on the market.
Umm, are you looking for, like, a different OS entirely for your phone or something?
There are so many ROMs for the Glacier right now it's kinda ridiculous! Check out Tiger013's Resource Bible. It's stickied in the development forum.
Been using iced 1.6 for a while now its been the best rom in my own opinion.its clean, runs smooth and its not over done.

A ridiculous number? Cyanogemods, Iced Glacier, eVil's MIUI/DHD/Z/G2, Gorillasense/MIUI, several gingerbread flavours.
I suppose another question would ask for greater elaboration on the differences between ROMs.
Radio image 26.4.2.17
Hi! every one
Can someone help me find a radio image 26.4.2.17 for mytouch 4g
I have GorillaSens DHD-MT4G- v2.2.3
any sugestions
Maybe hes referring to a different UI, since i think all these roms practically look the same. A completely distinguishing new look would be nice

if that's the case then MIUI is the way to go... a mash up of iOS and Android, the look of iOS but the functionality of Android

Anyone know if Miui will be coming to the Aria?
I wouldn't think so. It seems to be an HDPI rom. I don't know if I would like it on the Aria tho. I've messed with it a bit on the N1 and my buddy ditched it for CM, its a major battery and resource hog.
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
Thanks for the reply, it does look like a battery hog, but I hope that they keep making ROMs for the Aria. I had no idea what a solid little phone this thing is.

no.
<space filler>
I'm guessing our Aria is way underpowered to run the MIUI ROM.
From my understanding miui requires a armv7 processor at this time.

The guys in the hero forum are working on porting it, but it seems like the thread is at a standstill until an experienced dev picks it up.
By the time they make a usuable "port", your phone upgrade will be here.

I haven't had a contract in years. Personally, I prefer to stay off-contract, as I can't afford AT&T rate plans. If I want a new phone, I buy it outright.
well now im looking for some fun apps for rooted Androids like font changers or icons and animations for random stuff like that.
If your looking for fonts just check out the fontchanger thread in this section also get a good launcher witch ever one you chose spend the money and get the pro version they have more options also the gingerbread key board works great there is some good battery status and notification bar symbols floating around to go to show us your home screens to see what others are doing hope this helps!!! Oh almost forgot a set CPU and rom manger are a must sense you will be doing alot of back ups HAPPY FLASHING!!!!!!!

It is in the devolopment forum but here is the link. http://files.androidspin.com/downloa...5.1_signed.zip
And the reason you dont have the market with CM is you need to download and install Gapps.zip for all CM roms. They are not included.
Not really sure why everyone seems to swear by iced glacier on here (other than its been out Longest) but I personally enjoy the sense ROMs provided by evil and gorilla a lot. The look of true HTC sense is beautiful by itself, though there are a lot of ways to theme them to your own liking. Plus, you get your HTC widgets by default, as well as other awesome HTC services. Plus, if speed is your thing, both can be overclocked. Battery life is good in both.
Anyhow, that's my two cents. Everyone has theit own opinions on what ROMs are best, and that's mine.

I dont swear by Ice Glacier. It is a good rom, but the others you mentioned are very good also. It is really about what you like personally. That is the great thing about Android and a rooted phone. You can check them all out and then decide what you like. All of them can be themed and every one can be overclocked for speed. Including Ice Glacier.

NP, I was actually trying to figure that out when you posted this. I got nothing. Makes no sense. I'm trying to see if maybe this blackdroid guy was banned or something. That doesn't make sense either being that the links are still there, just the threads closed.
UD Roms aren't allowed on xda, they have been known for including warez in all of their roms.
This particular rom, looks to be CM7, with some changed xml strings that make it say UD instead of CM. Can't verify this yet, but thats what it looks like. So if you want to try it, just get cm7 and find a theme you like.
Oh alright thanks for investigating it for me ur awesome lol u can close this thread if u want.

So this HD2 ROM works on the MT4G? I thought Blackdroid did UD, is this ROM built off of his work? I also thought Blackdroid was on v10, so this all is a little confusing to me.

I know most people don't look at the "About Phone" section on their phones very often (unless they are double checking a kernel or something like that), but if you look at "About Phone" under "Credits" you'll see that this time he did give credit to Cyanogen.
yeah i seen that about 10 minutes ago while looking for info about why this thing doesnt want to boot. was going of what i just read about the whole thing and for some reason was thinking it was recent. sorry
Edit: never mind I'm dumb today.

Because it's not a Cyanogen build. Cyanogen adds some stuff to their ROM to give them extra options.
There doesn't seem to be much info on the first page of these ROM threads. Does anyone know if the front camera works on these evil ROMs? Or is that not working pretty much on any ROM?

The FFC pretty much works on every ROM. If you want a vanilla Android ROM, go with RoyalGinger or CM7. There is plenty of info on both those ROMs in their respective threads.
