T mobile HTC Hd2 Wifi N? - HD2 General

I googled and found out theres a Wifi N for HTC Hd2 Euro version, and that you need bsb tweaks to enable it, but i was wondering does T mobile also has this piece of hardware? And to top it off lol would anyone know if wifi N can be enabled while using android 2.2 froyo on the t mobile htc hd2? thank youuu!

Yes the T-Mobile HD2 has the same WiFi chip as the Euro one, and yes you can simply use BsB tweaks to enable the support for WiFi N. As far as Android is concerned, I do not know if it supports N or not but I can confirm that it at least supports B/G.

it works just fine once you enable it in the registry. dunno if it supports 5Ghz though.

alrighty thanks for the clarification guys!

Wifi on Snapview/Battery Conservation

Hi,
I am aware that wifi does not work on the Snapview OS on HTC Shift.
Questions:
Is anyone aware of HTC adding this capability to next Shift ROM, I believe the Shift uses the same Qualcomm chip as HTC Touch, therefore is enabling the wifi an option on newer ROM (it seems to me on the non carrier versions, Wifi would have a benefit where you do not have GPRS or 3G)
Has anyone found a good way of improving battery life on Shift while using Wifi?
Thanx
Dave

[ Q ] Wi-fi N-draft ???

In WM there was a option (in custom builds)
to enable something like N-draft for wi-fi.
It was increasing perfomance of wi-fi (for me it was even 10x better)
Is there something like this for Android ???
Thanks in advance.
To enable 802.11 draft-N needs draft-N capable chip, which the HD2 does NOT have! The wireless modes that HD2 supports are 802.11b/g, so you either mean something like "Extreme/Super G" (which I also think HD2 hardware doesn't support) or you don't remember correctly because what you're asking isn't possible...
Regards
Well, I know this , this is a reason why i called this as : " N-draft like ".
Can anyone tell me is something like this works for Android :

and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589305
First is a link to article about N-draft capabilities,
second one is a link to BSB Tweaks showing N-draft enabling options.
So there is N-draft like application for Android HD2 ???
I'm pretty sure N is enable in android build I used, because my router says so.

A wireless N router usually transmits both N and G WiFi (and possibly B too), so being able to connect doesn't mean anything.

I never said the HD2 doesn't have an N chip, just pointed out that being able to connect to one doesn't mean ****. Thanks for pointing out it's got the hardware though, never heard that before.

It means ****(whatever you meant), if it connected to your router(N mode only turn on), or look at your router status, it would let you know what (****) mode of your connection (Mix mode on your router)

[Q] Skype H3G UK MDJ HD 4.3 s7.5HD

Following one of this links http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=676101 it wouldn't let me download anything.
Couldn't try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817749 as I couldn't find anywhere.
Tried to change the APN (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=861842) Nothing happened.
As you see I did as much research as I could.
Any idea?
cheers
EDIT:
Opening the browser when I'm on 3G, WiFi off, It tells me to connect to Three Network and disconnect Wifi..
No problem with data connection with any program with both wifi and 3g
Anyone? Please...
EDIT
It may need to import some kind of certificate from original three uk phones with android, like desire, hero..
ANYONE??????
Three UK is using rmnet protocol only, builds desire hd and similar are using ppp which Three UK is recognizing as wifi or connecting from barred or other network than Three.
The solution is using rmnet version of desire but rmnet builds, I am not sure what radio is needed, but I remember i had 2.10.xx.xx and some desire version from Darkstone. Haven't had any problems! Now I am testing skype from android market - i think this one is much better than iskoot (3uk skype modified version) at least you can see who is calling to you.
thank mate;
I've used iSkoot on WinMo to call through skype-on-3 with no problems; I had the same radio that I'm using now in Android
By the way, I'm using now MDj 4.6 with kernel 8.0
the only point to use skype-on.3 is that the skype calls are transferred as a normal call; so quality is better where 3g is not available. that's why I'm not gonna use skype from the market when I'm not connected via wifi.
So we should wait for a rmnet build.. ok
Thanks again.. Happy new year!

HD2+WP7 = USB/WIFI Tethering possible?

I know that working in samsung phones, but it is possible with HD2?
+1
It cant be a hardware issue due to it being possible with an android rom. The only major hurdle is the closed system of WP7.
Hopefully though a god like dev will work it out eventually
that would be awesome. i'm really missing this feature on my hd2. can't use my laptop for internet atm
Is there not a wifi hotspot application for WP7?
Agreed, really is vital for many people.
I have had it confirmed directly by HTC that it is possible on the HD7 but that functionality is removed by the operator.
If its there, it can be unlocked / activated but not by a menial like I!
Hopefully someone comes up with some wireless tethering soon
I wished there is one for WP7. I always use tether on my HD2 with Windows Mobile 6.5, but dang
Vote here: http://wpdev.uservoice.com/forums/1...ering-so-phone-can-act-as-hot-spot-?ref=title
Some people have wrote tethering drivers for other WP7 devices so it should be possible for the HD2, right?
