hey guys im still kind of new to this stuff. but right now i have windows 6.1 on my wing and its nice. but i seen a video on youtube with a wing that had 6.1 pro and it was AWESOME so i would like to know is there anywhere i can go and get that? oh yea and by chance can i ever downgrade back to the reg windows that came with the phone? and if i can do i just go to tmobile.com/wmupgrade ans starr from there?
What you have is already a PRO version as it is meant for all touch screen pocket pc device. Maybe you saw a different GUI effects which may be like TouchFLO 2D or so. If you can give a link to the YouTube video, we shall give you the suggestions.

That is not a "version" of or an iphone theme. It's just a ROM that has a lot of things put together to look like that. Looks like they have the old HTCHome with a skin on it, a Windows Mobile skin and S2U2 with a skin. It looks like an older ROM, actually, but I like the red theming. I don't know what ROM it is exactly, though. Oh, and that menu system is a somewhat buggy software... I forgot what it's called. It's hacked from an italian phone, I believe...

I do also Ivan ,thanks for that non useful paragraph. but can ANYBODY ELSE HELP ME????? im trying to see if i can get wm 6.1 pro or is that not released or something? as far for the themes when i download then and save them they never show up under my themes. could it be that im doing it wrong? i have aserg 6.1? do this ROM not let me use other themes?

1. You're rude.
2. It is not WM6.1Pro. Did you at all read what I wrote? 6.1 was never officially released for this phone, we (yes, I and others) ported it to this phone.
3. If you're not seeing them, you ARE doing it wrong.
Seriously, dude. I take my time to try to help some and you try to bite at the hand that feeds you. I could have done what everyone else does and said, " Search, noob!" Because truthfully, the answers ARE there if you bothered searching for the right things.
I even TOLD you what programs are being used, btw. That's about as much help as you could ask for.
It's not a THEME only, it's a SERIES of program. Let's quote me:

Now, if you searched for HTCHome you'd get the program called: HTCHome. If you searched S2U2, you'd get the program called: S2U2.
I have a Sprint HTC Touch and am thinking about installing the latest Winmo Pro 6.5.
The phone is new with nothing on it and isn't set up on the network yet.
Can I install the new operating system even though the phone doesn't work as a phone yet? I want to see how it works before I have Sprint set it up on the network.

Just got my new HD2 and wow, what a phone. I just retired a 3GS after about 12 month and wanted back to WM which I really missed. That said, the iPhone gave me some bad habbits that I need to break.
First thing I did was flash the HSPL ready for flashing some new roms but before I do that, I wanted to get used the WM again. My last was 6.5 on a kaiser so this is similar but different.
Anyway, couple of things. First is the Facebook app. On my iphone, when someone had posted XYX Name Likes the Group "WM 4 Me", the "WM 4 Me" portion was linked. I dont see that in the WM app. Am I missing something or is it that you cant just jump to that group? Any tips here.
Next thing is if anyone can recomend a good program to remote erase all data if I loose it or if there is anything out there to enrypt my sd card to make it useless without a password?
Last, is there a way to get the HD2 into landscape mode? I assumed it would be automatic but... Thats what I get for assuming.

stock rom isnt landscapeable, some cooked roms are, but its never been released like that, it was a test rom that leaked with the landscaped tabs and the chefs cooked them in.
I'm running the stock ROM and it's correct there's no native landscape rotation built in, but I've been using the cab attached below, and it works great for putting sense and even WM apps (like file explorer!) into landscape when you physically rotate the phone. Just put the cab on your SD card, run it (install to phone), then soft-reset.

So far, happy with the stock rom so I might just tweak it a little bit. Would still like to figure this Facebook app out. Is it an actual app or a mobile webpage I'm looking at? Also need to find a new gps since my old favorite site (gpsunderground)seems to have shut down.

I noticed that this update appeared on Zune. Think I'll wait till some of the experts here give us advice if this can be applied to the WP7 on the HD2
thats why i didnt install update afraid it might jack up my hd2.wait and see what the pros do

believe it or not, i wouldn't be surprised if some hd2's update good and some don't.
we'll let the dev's make a new rom for this than.

yea i just connected my phone and the update popped up, i'll give it a try and post back up with what it says.
Same thing here with DFT build for HD2, registry error and it backed out.
lol Guys, why would the update work, as its meant for an HD7, not a reg hacked HD2.??? THe hardware specs are not the same so the drivers will have been changed/modded so it just aint gonna happen.
Dont bother trying to apply the update, we'll have to all wait until the new rom is dumped and re-hacked.
You will also know that the new rom will block chevron unlocking, although schaps is on the case, google for more info

Nice to hear this, either way trying wouldn't have hurt anyone.
I am using HD2 with WP7. Itried earlier to install the update, I have received an error.

i hate to say i told you so but i cant resist.
I did say that there would be a way for MS to identify our HD2s, there will be some common reg entry or file in the original DFT release that they have scanned for and i got slated for it. oh well, going to have to wait for a updated ROM my thinks, and based on the fact that this update only changes the way in which our phones get updated i dont think there is any point in the slightest in installing this.

I'm see no reason why Microsoft wouldn't be able read your phone's IMEI before updating. It's a more reliable model identifier than anything in the registry, and will instantly tell them they're dealing with a HD2.
Indeed, not much point in trying to apply this update. At best, you gain very little (no new features). At worst, you're going to have to reflash.

One of the best upgrades I have made to my phone so far, although it took me 4 tries until I finally had mango unlocked XD.
Messenger integration with the phone is pretty nice (although buggy sometimes)
Mango is the bizniss! I had to tinker with my actual location to get access to services though. Live tiles for a lot of apps,stay away from the 3g if you're on prepaid.
I will also agree, Mango is well worth the upgrade, I have it on my Verizon HTC Trophy. Runs perfect and all the new features are worth it.
Doesnt even feel like a beta, perfect!

I haven't upgraded yet but from what i understand all settings, games etc will still exist after upgrade.
If you do need to download the game again, then the marketplace will recognise the previous purchase.
The applications did remain after the update, but I official updated the phone to mango.

Really ? Have you not looked or are you just being rude ? The info on this has been out on the net over a week now how to install this on a non-dev phone. You don't even need to unlock your phone.

After reading that you could be installing it in 5 min, but, the whole process takes about 2-3 hours (so plan on not using your phone in that window)

It is pretty awsome but, keep in mind, it is a beta (there will be bugs) and make sure you keep your backup, you might need to restore back before you go to the final version. Your right, no Adobe flash but, you can install custom ring tones.
