Hey, i tried a couple of android roms but when i press haret i either get a black screen which in it is written jumpin to kernel with small white fonts or the screen fades away :/ .... can any 1 help me out here? am i doing anything wrong?
any1?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would say try reformatting your sd card and try again.
For me, I had no desire to run WinMo except as a means to booting Android. So, I put HSPL3 on and radio 2.11 and a barebones WinMo ROM made for booting into Android. I then flashed Hyperdroid 1.5 and I have almost no problems.
Remember to run Clrcad before Haret to ensure soundy goodness.

lol, the black screen with white writing is normal, its rebboting into linux.
If it fades away and doesnt load into anroid then I thin that down to your radio version as I had same prob when I first got my hd2, You need to update your radio to at leats 2.10 I think. Im on 2.12 now.
yeah, it's a radio-related problem
anything with 2.10.50.08_2 in it will work even 2.07.50.08_2 will work, but its not recommended
but with 51 will NOT work
Yes change your radio to 2.10.50 at least. By doing this, you will void your warranty.

Did you try reading the flashing instructions. Refer to the Flashing NAND Android rom link in my signature. The problem is that you probably have the wrong radio. Also please don't start new threads to ask questions when threads already exist. This thread will soon be moved.

I got the same problem with SPL 2.08.HSPL, oficial ROM 3.14.412.2, RADIO 2.15.50.14. I've tried everything, wasting tons of hours, reinstaling diferent versions of MAGLDR and so, but unfortunatelly I've had to back to the oficial ROM.
Help Please!

Are you sure your spl version is 2.08.hspl and NOT 2.08.0000?
Completly!. SPL-2.08.HSPL as stated on tricolor screen. Thanks for the response.
And you also sure of the radio version? Really strange that it doesn't work. Where exactly does it get stuck, is it after or during the install of magldr?
Absolutely sure. All info is the one shown in the device. MAGDLR installs perfectly at 100%, it stucks at reboot, it shows the white htc screen and that's all, the device doen't work any more and I've to reinstall oficial rom.
Really weird - first one I've seen where 2.08.hspl and 2.15.50 radio doesn't get magldr to boot. Not sure what else to suggest apart from perhaps doing a Task29 to format the NAND area and starting all over.
I've tried one again, including task29 at begining. And i'm still the same, MAGLDR doesn't show the menu and stucks at login htc screen. I want to cry!. I'd appreciate any idea. All DFT needs MAGDLR, I need smthing that doesn´t need MAGDLR, is it possible?.
There are the Android versions that run off sd card which run as a dual boot with winmo.

well, maybe its kinda "stupid" question, but do you press the power (red) button while booting? I mean, you have to press it long enough, till the magldr menu comes up..
Believe me that i've tested that way, and another ones, so as to get it work, but no luck.

Format the sd card. I would also suggest flashing back to a winmo rom and then starting over.

cwm recovery
flashed cwm recovery update for hd2 no my phone wont charge nor register when plugged into the computer. is there a way to fix this
Hi there everyone!
I installed a NAND Android Rom Dl Desire Z or something... everything was working, but suddendly phone just crashes, and nothing but a white screen appear as soon as HD2 powers on.
The only thing i'm able to do is to go to 3 color mode (hardspl) - but all attempts to flash a wm6.5 rom failed because customruu failed in the middle of the process. freezes at 0% and then appears a communication error in the application.
Conclusion: as soon as phone turns on, only a white screen appears, with nothing written in it.
i've searched for 2 hours in xda and google, nothing similar came...
i've reflashed hardspl3 - sucessfull, but nothing changed, white screen still appears.
i've tried to flash other roms but always freezes at 0%, and appears communication error in customruu application.
I don't know what to do :/
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thank you very much!!
If you can still get into bootloader and you do have hspl installed, try flashing the winmo rom via sd card.
Will do!
I'll post feedback
Start flashing official 1.66(its EU, you need analog to 1024 LEO) WM 6.5 rom from HSPL, than HPSL3, radio with 576 RAM(Radio_2.15.50.14 for example), than MAGLDR112, and after these steps flash Android
Hey there!
I've tried all the methods above indicated.
Flashed a new rom through sd - update failed
Flashed a stock 1.66 Wmo rom but white screen still appears as soon as phone is turned on
Can't downgrade HSPL to 1.42 or so...
Can't do Task 29...
What can I do?
Suggestions?!
Thank you!
Hello
Im thinking maybe your motherboard as many tmous users ?.. just thinking..maybe?? I don't hope it for you
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
It doesn't make sense :S
I never had any problem with it, and it was running a new Android rom for the second time.. then I take the phone out of the pocket and it is with a white screen...
I can get to the hspl boot but it isn't proving useful...
Any thoughts?
Hallo,
I want to flash the original Rom wmo 6.5.
So i thought that i have to make a HSPL downgreat from 2.08 to 1.44.
And after that nothing.
No chance to get into the Bootloader or start it normaly.
Befor this i tried to install Android [JDMS Ultimate Nand Rom] but everytime i become the ERROR 262 From the PDA Upgread Utility. It stans still it 0%.
2 times of 200 replays it works but than MAGDLR 1.13 give me the fatal error 1 message.
Now i thougt my htc hd2 is brick or not?
What can i do that it never happens again?
Hope you can Help me
tmous or regular hd2?
tmous - its probably dead from flashing any rom that uses spl 1.42, , is it a tmous? (green send key, red end key)
regular - need more info,,, what rom did you flash? exact filename please,
I Thought i have the regular HD 2.
First of all HSPL 2.08 was installed on my HD 2 after that i installed a new Radio Rom Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14 after that i installed magdlr 1.13.
All works fine but it dont boot.
go go go .... only fatal error1.
JDMS v1.6.2 Ultimate [Kernel: Hastarin 8.6N] NAND ROM
But then everytime i use PDA Rom Upgrade utility i stuck by 0% and i get the error 262 but it sometimes happend that i got the 100%.
After JDMS install that never boot up, i installed a Stock Rom (Original Rom)
from HTC
RUU_Leo_S_HTC_GER_3.14.407.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship
But after 20 % it stuck.
I test Task29 and it works.
Then i installed HSPL2_RUN and installed HSPL 1.42.
And now i cant boot, i cant startup bootloader, i cant connect to pc.
Its totaly dead.

flashing that SPL should not have bricked your phone afaik. Did you do any battery pulls? (ben pins maybe?)
Yes, i thought 100 times in 2 days ...because everytime i got the 262 Error with 0% i had to pull the battery.
I ve looked at the pins but they looks fine.
hmmm ...but i dont get any led signal while im loading the battery?
Could i kill the battery? At the beginning everytime i loading the battery i got a Orange Led signal that it loads.

look again and make 100% sure none of the pins are even a little bent, because they may just not be connecting to all 3 battery slots, then put in the battery and plug in the phone and see if it gives a yellow charge light.
Could simply be a flat battery,,,magldr doesn't allow charging when the phone is off.
If you have an old USB cable, mini or micro, cut the end off, bare the red and black, battery out, hold red to + black to - on the battery for a minute or two, see what happens when you plug back in.

looks like he's not running magldr, from what I read he flashed task29 then HSPL 1.42, so he actually doesn't have anything on NAND atm

task29 only flashes the rom memory area, not teh spl/splash/radio areas. HSPL only affects the spl memory area, magldr exists in teh secondary splash screen area, so isn't touched by either of those. Magldr of course wont start since spl is no longer 2.08.x, but i suspect the non charge bug will still be in effect.
(Just for the record, and since there are so many posts recommending it, i personally believe in 99% of cases where task29 is run, there is no benefit at all. it just adds yet another write cycle to our already overstretched nand memory. flashing a new cwm partition will have the same effect.)

weird, last time I flashed task29 even with 2.08 I thought magldr didn't start and it didn't go past the splash, maybe I was wrong.
@ OP. have you tried to use a different battery?
My HD2 turns on and everything, I can goto the tri color screen fine, but I cant load any ROMs on it anymore, i tried flashing everything WM6.5, 7, Android, and nothing seems to work, it will turn on to the white screen with the green HTC logo and it would vibrate like 5 times then nothing it just sits there, I flashed MAGLDR and tried reinstalling WP7 after the reboot it will goto the MAGLDR screen vibrate 5 times and then nothing happens! Is my phone completely dead from running any ROMs?
have you flashed a radio ROM? if so, which one?
I have the latest radio already 2.15.50.14

it is time to change your phone.
hd2 is too old to use
I've got a working HD2 running Tytungs 4.2.2 - which is great.
A friend has given me their dead HD2 to try to recover it.
When powered on it simply shows a white screen.
When I go into bootloader...the multi-coloured to screen comes up, and indicates SPL-3.03.0000
So I can't try and install HSPL as I understand it.
When I I plug in the USB cable the "serial" turns to "USB" on the bootloader screen
So I thought I'd try flashing a stock winmo rom to see if it came alive, and hopefully downgrade SPL at the same time to then move onto HSPL and Android.
I found RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.66.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe
(lots of the old stock rom links are broken)
I extracted RUU_signed.nbh, renamed it LEOIMG.nbh...copied it to a blank 2gb SD card, put the card in the phone, powered on holding down the vol-down key and just got into the bootloader screen.....
So I'm stuck.....any ideas on what I could try?
Is it worth running the full Rom update utility?
is it just time to dump it?
Well I noticed the sdcard was formatted fat not fat32! Sorted that put leoimg.nbh back on it and the loader/flasher starts but fails flashing the radio.....reporting 00018003 RADIO FAIL
I tried flashing hspl with hspl4 - hoping if it worked I could try to flash a radio but no luck there....
Most stuff I am finding on searching is people like me blundering about in the dark......binning the hd2 seems a waste but I'm out of ideas on how to move forward....

I've got this white screen several times now, and in most cases it worked just to take out the battery and put it back in.
Usually the problem is solved temporarily if u do a task29 and install a clean rom.
With my HD2 the problem appears randomly after 4-5 months...maybe it's some kind of a hardware issue, maybe the RAM?
As far as I see it, there is no clear solution for the white screen..

I think you are right.
I can't do a Task29 as I can't get HSPL on the HD2.....
(It's running SPL3 so I have to use HSPL4.exe and that fails to install HSLP2.08 and HSPL3.03....)
Cheers
